A company goes public, their assets value determines the price of the stock and # of stocks to be issued, basically, then those stocks are put out in the market and speculators can affect the value of the stock but there is a company of assets to back the value of the stocks, in theory
crypto is "mined" pulled out of the air, has no intrinsic value, all market value, like our current fiat money, anyone trading fiat dollars for crypto is trading liquidity and soon will be trading a gold back $ for value pulled out ot the air
