I knew… Talked about it here but w/out evidence of my childhood, it's anecdotal and just some dude making shit up.
Ratzinger's job was to investigate crimes against children. I met him after a man, willing to testify against our bishop, disappeared only to be found dead along the river by a group of highschoolers doing a volunteer cleanup w/the same bishop. I'm sure it was only coincidence…
Any who, per correspondence obtained after my mothers death, Ratzinger was directed to reach out to speak to my mother since she was a known, concerned Catholic who had been pen-palling w/Pope John Paul II about the same Bishop. So, Ratzinger just
strolled up to the house, pulled a straight cold call on my mother. Ever seen a practicing catholic w/snot nosed kids spot a cardinal strolling down the sidewalk to her house? 5 alarm panic, but it became a thing, he'd stop by for "counsel", always unannounced. We didn't know the details till mom passed and we got our hands on some of the letters.
BTW, not to doxx myself, but the Catholic church sought to 'beatify' anons mother. Anons father respectfully declined, apparently the process requires everyone in the family to get the equivalence of a spiritual enema of investigation and dad wasn't stupid enough to believe we'd getting a passing grade.
