One of the “Island Boys” is in trouble again after a weekend arrest in Naples.
Deputies say Franky Venegas was a passenger in a car pulled over for running a stop sign.
Then, a K-9 search turned up oxycodone pills and a handgun with an altered serial number, according to police.
Venegas now faces charges for drugs and firearms.

Whistleblower drops bombshell claim that FBI has been frantically destroying evidence of past sins
An FBI whistleblower has claimed that certain FBI employees began destroying evidence in the wake of Director Kash Patel’s confirmation.
The claim comes fromwhistleblower Garret O’Boylewho previously testified to Congress in 2013 that “the FBI will crush you … and your family if you try to expose the truth about things they are doing.”
Appearing this week on conservative commentator Benny Johnson’s show, O’Boyle doubled down with a new bombshell claim.
“There are FBI servers that are sort of standalone, and people inside the FBI have been working night and day to destroy files on these servers,” he said.
“And I was told that once these files are destroyed — the way they are set up — even Elon Musk could not restore them. So that’s happening right now as we speak. That’s happening with Kash Patel being the director. It was happening before he got there. So that’s subversion,” he added.
During the segment, O’Boyle also claimed that some of the 1,500 or so FBI employees who were ordered out of the D.C. have also been rebelling.
“Last week, right out of the gates, Kash Patel came out and said 1,500 people — 500 you’re going to Alabama, 1000 you’re going out to the field,” the whistleblower noted. “Already people are saying we are not going to comply with that — we are going to make it seem as if we transferred, we’re going to do what they call ‘paper transfers,’ and we’re not going to obey these lawful orders.”
O’Boyle previously testified to Congress in 2023 that he’d been an exemplary FBI agent up until the point he’d decided to take a stand against some of the evil/wrong actions he’d witnessed on the job.
“During my four years as a special agent, I received the highest annual review an employee can receive,” he said. “I volunteered for, tried out for, and was selected for an FBI SWAT team; I also volunteered for, tried out for, and was selected for a new unit the FBI created and I received an award for my work on an anti-abortion extremism case.”
“I’ve [since] been smeared as a malcontent and subpar FBI employee. This smear stands in stark contrast to my life in public service. This smear campaign, disgusting as it is, is unsurprising. Despite our oath to uphold the Constitution, too many in the FBI aren’t willing to sacrifice for the hard right over the easy wrong,” he added.
“They see what becomes of whistleblowers; how the FBI destroys their careers, suspends them under false pretenses, takes their security clearances and pay with no true options for real recourse or remedy. This is by design; it creates an Orwellian atmosphere that silences opposition and discussion. We know what is right to do, yet we too often refuse to do what is right because of the difficulty and suffering it incurs,” he concluded.
“[O]n the CIA’s 7th floor — home to top leadership — some officers are also quietly discussing how mass firings and the buyouts already offered to staff risk creating a group of disgruntled former employees who might be motivated to take what they know to a foreign intelligence service,” the report reads.
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk responded to the report by noting the irony.
“In other words, the people who created the Russia Hoax might now sell America’s secrets to Russia — and then CNN will be there to blame Trump,” he wrote in a tweet.

Moss Landing-area residents worry they’re living amid a dangerous environmental disaster
Feb 25, 2024
“As soon as I opened the door, I got hit with burnt plastic,” Okamoto said.
She and her husband were scared and didn’t know what was going on. They started wrangling their animals — chickens, ducks, cats, and dogs — to get them inside.
“My eyes were burning. My nose was burning,” Okamoto said. “We were already coughing, and we weren't out long.”
The smoke was coming from a building that housed 99,000 lithium-ion battery modules. They store renewable energy but had caught on fire.
Monterey County quickly issued an evacuation order for about 1,200 people who lived up to about 3 miles away.
Lithium battery fires are notoriously hard to fight, and firefighters said they had to let it burn out because water would have been ineffective.
The evacuation order was lifted the following evening. The fire did not destroy any homes nor kill any people. But there was evidence of the fire miles beyond the evacuation zone. Okamoto still has a bucket filled with thick, black water that she hauled out of her duck pool.
“There's oil and soot and powder, and that's what I stuck my hands into because I didn't want my ducks to get sick,” she said, adding that the water burned her hands and gave her a rash.
The Monterey County Health Department said 49 people had reported fire-related symptoms as of February 19. County officials said preliminary tests of soil, water, and air around the plant do not pose an immediate public health hazard, but two soil tests did show elevated contaminant levels that require follow-up. If people are worried, county officials say they should see their doctor.
