LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged Erik Kenneth Sickinger with three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor - Second Degree, three counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Luring a Child Under 16 years of age on Tuesday, March 4.
Erik Sickinger was first elected to Irmo Town Council in 2020 and became Mayor Pro Tem in 2023.
On December 14, 2024, Sickinger allegedly committed sexual battery with a 15-year-old male while at Sickinger's residence.
The 15-year-old disclosed this information during a forensic interview with the Dickenson Children's Advocacy Center.
Lexington County Sheriff's Department requested the forensic interview pursuant to a runaway incident report, and Sickinger was identified through communication on the juvenile's Snapchat account.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
