NeoCon Douglas Murray Attacks ‘Trumpian Right’ Because We Don’t Want to Fund Zelensky’s Forever War.

Raheem J. Kassam Mar. 7, 2025

Effete neoconservative commentatorDouglas Murray has penned a bizarre essay for The Free Press attacking the America First movement’s indifferencetoward the ongoing Russian invasionof Ukraine, name-checking figures like Erik Prince and Stephen K. Bannonwhile implying the President’s base is somehow pro-Putin due to their refusal to side with globalistsattempting to expand NATO and the European Union.

=According to Murray—who feigned support for President Trump during the latter stages of his campaign, even appearing at Mar A Lago at the invitation of Elon Musk—wraps his argument in standard Cold War-era tropes, falsely attacking American populistsand nationalists as “admirers” of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Ukraine is not just a country that the Trumpian right has never visited. It is a fantasy country that they imagine they know everything about,” wrote Murray, failing to recognizethat I, as one of the first “Trumpian right” reporters in the business, was on the ground during Kiev’sMaidan revolution in 2013. Murray, on the other hand, was not.

WHATABOUTISM… WITHOUT THE ABOUT.

“Wittingly or otherwise, the MAGA online right started to absorb Russia’s narrative on Ukraine: that it isn’t a real country, that the Ukrainians aren’t a real people, that if they are a real people, then they are uniquely corrupt,” writes Murray, convenientlyleaving out the fact that both independent auditors and indeed the pro-Ukraine media has ranked the nation one of the most corrupt in the world, and certainly the most corrupt in Europe.

“On and on it went: that Ukrainian soldiers are “literal” Nazis,”Murray continues, obfuscating that the nation’s Azov battalion especially is, in fact, replete with Nazisand predicated on its founder’s admiration of Adolf Hitler.

Murray then attacks people who allege, “that Zelensky is constantly buying villas and yachts in the south of France, that the whole war is one big money-laundering operation, that Ukraine’s war to push the Russians back is unwinnable because of the great might of the Russian army—and that the whole thing is a giant waste of U.S. taxpayers’ money.”

“Of course, almost all the allegations the MAGA right makes against Ukraine are infinitely truer of Putin’s Russia,” he concludes, failing to understand the point that American taxpayers aren’t propping up Russia, while they are propping up Ukraine, rendering his whatabouttery totally without merit.

PEACE.

President Donald J. Trump is pushing for a peace deal in the Russia-Ukraine conflict not out of some misguided ideological appreciation of Putin, but out of a recognition of American geopolitical interests—that is, to extract American resources from a European conflict—and the realistic fact that time is on Russia’s side. Under former President Biden, the United States committedbillions of taxpayer dollars to what became little more than a Ukrainian campaign of stalling and delaying the inevitable—prolonging the death and suffering of servicemen and civilians.

Additionally, Murray asserts—in a homoerotic critique—that America First populists and nationalists were “irritatedthat unheroic and distinctly unmasculine figures such as Justin Trudeau of Canada were suddenly able to present themselves as wartime leaders. ”

In reality, the “irritation” is that globalist leaders are insistent that the American people continue to underwrite the military needs of Europewithout regard for the needs of Americans back at home.

Murray is openly gay and is believed to be living in New York with his current boyfriend, a gay Mexican pornography participant.

While he contends that the “MAGA right” has embraced a caricature of Ukraine as a corrupt and inept nation,he himself appears to be arguing against his own imagined caricature of the “MAGA right.”

The Ukrainian government and military have, in fact, been rocked by internal corruption that has hampered its war effort. President Trump and his MAGA supporters recognize that there are limits to American power, and expending that power on conflicts well outside the national interest only serves to weaken the nation and prolong the killing, which Murray–the author of “Neoconservatism: Why We Need It”–appears all too in favor of.

Envoy jokes about Trump’s promise to end Ukraine war in 24 hours

“We didn’t say what day or what year,” Keith Kellogg has said

US President Donald Trump’s special envoy to Russia and Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, has joked about the president’s ambitious campaign promise to put a swift end to the Ukraine conflict.

In a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations on Thursday, Kellogg quipped that no specific time frame had been set.

“Remember the president said he was going to end the war in 24 hours. We didn’t say what day or what year,” the envoy said, eliciting laughter from the audience.

The White House is trying to mediate an end to the hostilities between Ukraine and Russia.Trump’s approach so far has included direct talks with Moscowand seeking to leverage economic agreements and sanctions.

Washington has also halted military aid andsuspended intelligence sharing with Kiev. According to Kellogg, theUkrainians “brought it on themselves.”

Last week’s meeting between Trump and Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky at the White House descended into an argument. The US president, along with Vice President J.D. Vance, confronted Zelensky about not being grateful enough for the billions of dollars in US aid given to Kiev since the escalation of the conflict with Russia three years ago, and claimed he was not ready for peace. Zelensky has so far refused to apologize for his role in the tense exchange.

Trump plans to “reset relations with Russia” and withdraw from the “endless proxy war” in Ukraine, Kellogg has stated.

Moscow has praised Washington’s attempts to restore relations and its new approach to the Ukraine conflict.

I think I see Trump’s plan, if he punishes Ukraine he has “to punish Russia”. But the punishment for Ukraine is really punishing the IC US agencies that have started the war; who are directing and funding the war with soldiers and money. Trump is letting them know, he knows and Ukraine won’t get those resources back.

Trump launches ‘digital Fort Knox’

The US Treasury will establish a “strategic reserve” of cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin

US President Donald Trump has launched two new mechanisms for federal government cryptocurrency assets.

A presidential executive order on Thursday hasestablished a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and a US Digital Asset Stockpile, overseen by the Treasuryand dedicated to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

The administration considers these digital assets, particularly Bitcoin,as stable stores of value that are likely to appreciate over time due to inherent scarcity.

”The reserve is like a digital Fort Knox for the cryptocurrency often called ‘digital gold’,”White House crypto tsar David Sacks explained, estimating that the government currently owns roughly 200,000 bitcoins worth over $17 billion. Sacks added that in the past the US sold some 195,000 bitcoins for just $366 million, representing a significant financial loss for taxpayers.

The primary source of the US government’s cryptocurrency holdings is derived from criminal or civil asset forfeiture. Trump hasinstructed the Treasury secretary to explore “budget neutral” strategiesfor acquiring more bitcoins, although this directive does not extend to other digital assets.

The policy change stops short of active buying of cryptocurrencies, which some industry figures were hoping for. Charles Edwards, founder of Bitcoin-focused hedge fund Capriole Investments, criticized the decision as “the most underwhelming and disappointing outcome we could have expected,” arguing that the lack of active purchasing policy merely rebrands existing government holdings.

Sacks contended that Trump’s actions align with his campaign promise to establish the US as the “crypto capital of the world” through the support of innovative digital financial instruments.

EU spending more on Russian energy than on Ukraine aid – Trump

The bloc has been ramping up LNG imports from the sanctioned country, according to industry data

The EU is allocating more funds to Russian fossil fuel purchases than to providing aid to Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev, US President Donald Trump has claimed.

Following the escalation of the hostilities in 2022 and the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines, the EU prioritized reducing its reliance on Russian energy. Some members voluntarily stopped importing Russian pipeline gas, while others continued buying LNG, which has only been partially targeted by sanctions.

In a Truth Social post late on Monday, Trump stated without providing any concrete figures that “Europe has spent more money buying Russian Oil and Gas than they have spent on defending Ukraine —BY FAR!”

In an earlier post,Trump criticized European leaders for admitting that they needed US backing to continue supporting Ukraine.

According to estimates from the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (Crea), released last month on the third anniversary of the Ukraine conflict, EU member states bought €21.9 billion (over $23 billion) of Russian oil and gas in 2024despite their efforts to reduce reliance on Russian energy.

The amount is greater than the $20 billion the bloc allocated to Kiev in financial aid last year, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW Kiel).

European Commission spokesperson Anna-Kaisa Itkonen has previously acknowledged thatRussian energy continues to flow to the EU despite the bloc’s commitment to eliminating its dependence on it.

According to data by analytics firm Kpler, imports of Russian LNG by EU member states are now at an all-time high. In the first half of 2024, Russia was the second biggest supplier of the super-chilled fuel to the bloc after the US, statistics showed.Brussels stopped short of imposing a full ban on Russian LNG in its 16th package of sanctions, imposed on Moscow last month.

In light of ongoing Ukraine peace-related negotiations between Moscow and Washington, Brussels is reportedly preparing a military aid package worth at least $6.2 billion for Kiev, which is expected to include 1.5 million artillery shells in addition to air defense systems.

On Monday, news agencies reported, citing American officials, thatTrump has instructed the US Defense Department to pause all military aidto Ukraine following his public spat with Vladimir Zelensky.

Trump has repeatedly accused Zelensky of undermining his efforts to broker a peace deal between Kiev and Moscow. Their meeting in the Oval Office last Friday culminated in an unprecedented shouting match after which Trump said that the Ukrainian leader was disrespectful to the US.

(Trump really likes to humiliate the EU, they are just a dishonest and lying bunch. He must have 15 aides sending out Truth and X posts all day. He’s really brilliant! And he’s our President, what a time to be alive.)

(It wouldn’t surprise me if Zelenskyy gave 25% of the money to the EU that Bidan sent him, and then 10% for the big guy, and now a cut for Hunter since he’s crying he’s broke.)

UK will return Russian money it is ‘so generously giving away’ – Moscow

Transferring Russia’s sovereign assets to Kiev is a gross violation of international law, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has said

The UK’s transfer of the proceeds from Russia’s frozen central bank funds to Ukraine is a blatant violation of international law, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has said.

On Friday,Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said that Kiev had received a first tranche worth about $1 billion from the UK, secured by the proceeds from the Russian assets. He said the funds would go toward “strengthening” Ukraine’s defense andvoiced hope that all frozen Russian assets would be “confiscated and transferred” to Kiev.

Speaking to reporters later in the day, Volodin said Britain “will have to give back to Russia what they are now so generously giving away,”adding that Moscow has “every reason to respond in kind.”

Volodin also warned that London’s actions would “undermine confidence” in its financial system,as they “violate the principle of property inviolability, a cornerstone of the global financial system.”

Western countriesfroze around $300 billion in Russian central bank assetsafter the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022. Of this total, more than $200 billion is reportedly held at the Brussels-based clearinghouse Euroclear, while up to $30 billion is in the UK.

The assets have already generated billions in interest. Euroclear transferred over $1 billion directly to Ukraine last July. Kiev has been pressing its Western backers to expropriate the assets to finance its military and reconstruction efforts.

The West remains divided over the fate of the frozen assets. Many EU countries are reluctant to tap the reserves themselves, opting instead for the interest earned on them. Some have raised concerns that seizing the assets could damage the Western financial system and erode trust in the euro. The International Monetary Fund has also warned that taking the funds without a clear legal basis could undermine global confidencein Western financial institutions.

The Kremlin has repeatedly denounced the asset freeze as “theft” and warned of legal action against those involved in the asset seizure.

(UK and France literally stole the seized funds, they have broken country and international laws by stealing and spending Russia’s sovereign assets of seized funds to arm themselves to fight Russia and give it Ukraine; and themselves to pay for arms and soldiers. This has never been done in all of history. They are really trying to get Russia to get in a war with them. Russia will not take the bait.)

(Bitcoin or another currency could becthe way to go, the US and EU monetary systems could completely collapseThis severely hurts the dollar as the reserve currency.Anons can you explain what’s going on and how it will affect America and the world monetary system, if this is true?)
