Based on Ontario, Canada, placing a 25% Tariff on “Electricity” coming into the United States, I have instructed my Secretary of Commerce to add an ADDITIONAL 25% Tariff, to 50%, on all STEEL and ALUMINUM COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES FROM CANADA, ONE OF THE HIGHEST TARIFFING NATIONS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

This will go into effect TOMORROW MORNING, March 12th.

Also, Canada must immediately drop their Anti-American Farmer Tariff of 250% to 390% on various U.S. dairy products, which has long been considered outrageous. I will shortly be declaring a National Emergency on Electricity within the threatened area. This will allow the U.S to quickly do what has to be done to alleviate this abusive threat from Canada.

If other egregious, long time Tariffs are not likewise dropped by Canada, I will substantially increase, on April 2nd, the Tariffs on Cars coming into the U.S. which will, essentially, permanently shut down the automobile manufacturing business in Canada.

Those cars can easily be made in the USA!

Former Philippines President Duterte 'Forcibly Taken' On Plane Bound For The Hague

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has over the years issued plenty of arrest warrants for members or leaders of governments and militaries which are basically unenforceable. Such is the case with its recent arrest warrants for Russia's Vladimir Putin and Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu. However, they certainly begun avoiding flying into most European countries as a result.

Former Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has also for years had a warrant hanging over him issued from The Hague-based court, but he too seemed of high enough stature to be beyond enforcement. This is why the Tuesday headlines of his being "forcibly taken" onto a plane headed for The Hague comes as such as surprise.

His own daughter has confirmed he was taken on to a plane flight late Tuesday. "They are taking him out on a plane by force without considering his health conditions," Veronica Duterte wrote on Instagram. Reuters also confirmed, and photographs have emerged.

"As I write this, he is being forcibly taken to The Hague tonight. This is not justice — this is oppression and persecution," she said.

Largest Ever Ukrainian Drone Attack On Moscow Kills Three Civilians, Injures 9

Just hours ahead of a major meeting between American and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia toward finding a path to ceasefire with Russia, Ukraine's military launched an unprecedented cross-border attack on Moscow and the surrounding region of the capital.

"The largest ever attack by enemy drones on Moscow has been repelled," Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on Telegram early Tuesday of the overnight attack. "Seventy-four combat drones were shot down on their way to Moscow, with hundreds more intercepted at various points."

At least three people were killed as the drones in some cases scored direct hits on residential buildings and neighborhoods of the capital. The scale of the launch included multiple hundreds of UAVs - given that Russia's defense ministry said it downed 337 unmanned aircraft during the assault.

A statement claimed that 91 drones were downed around Moscow, with another 126 intercepted over the Kursk region bordering Ukraine.

At least nine others were wounded, with some reports suggesting up to 20 were hurt. One man who was killed was struck in a parking lot outside a meat packing plant, the regional governor said. Another man succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

Russia's Investigative Committee has dubbed the attack an act of terrorism and said that President Putin has been briefed on the matter.

Police Respond To Fire, Find CEO Of Trucking Company Allegedly Stabbed To Death

The CEO of a trucking company was found murdered in a burning building in Crestwood, Illinois on Wednesday, according to police.

The body was discovered after police and firefighters responded to reports of heavy smoke emanating from ATG Truckload’s offices, according to a Crestwood Police Department (CPD) press release. Authorities discovered the body of ATG Truckload’s CEO, Dane Koteski, on the second floor of the building after firefighters put out the blaze. Koteski’s neck had been slashed with a pointed or sharp object, indicating a homicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

“The fire was put out quickly. There was a large amount of smoke. We cleared out the smoke, and the focus became the investigation of the body,” CPD Chief Kevin Sisk told ABC7. “Investigators determined the victim was the owner of the company: 46-year-old Dane Koteski. An autopsy later determined Koteski’s neck was slashed with a knife.”

The US and China came closer to a full-fledged trade war last week when China imposed tariffs of up to 15 percent on key US agricultural exports. This was retaliation for President Trump’s increasing of tariffs on Chinese exports to the United States from 10 percent to 20 percent.

China’s retaliatory tariffs show how export-dependent industries are harmed by protectionist policies. Even if other countries refrain from imposing retaliatory tariffs, exporters can still suffer from reduced demand for their products in countries targeted by US tariffs. Businesses that rely on imported materials to manufacture their products also suffer from increased production costs thanks to tariffs. President Trump acknowledged how tariffs harm US manufacturers when he granted US automakers’ request for a one-month delay in new tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada.

Many American consumers who are struggling with high prices are concerned that President Trump’s tariff policy will further increase prices. They are right to be concerned. Contrary to popular belief, foreign businesses do not pay tariffs. Tariffs are paid by US businesses that wish to sell the imported goods. When tariffs are increased, the importing businesses try to recoup their increased costs by increasing their prices. Consumers then must choose whether to pay the higher price, find a cheaper alternative, or do without the product. Whatever they choose, consumers will be worse off because they cannot spend their money the way they prefer.

Tariffs may provide a short-term benefit to the protected businesses. However, tariffs could keep businesses alive that should be allowed to fail so the business owners and workers can put their talents to use in other endeavors that would more greatly benefit and the whole economy.

Defenders of tariffs, including President Trump, claim the revenue from tariffs can be used to “offset” the revenue government loses from tax cuts. Some even claim that tariffs can generate enough revenue to allow the government to repeal the income tax. The problem with this is that a tariff brings in more revenue to “pay for” tax cuts only to the extent the tariff does not cause consumers to cease buying imported goods. Thus, the tariffs, to bring revenue to the government, must not be large enough to discourage Americans from buying foreign products. The more tariffs increase government revenue, the more they will tend to fail in bringing about another often promoted tariff goal — an increase in the purchase of domestic goods.

Department of Education: 60 Universities Under Investigation for Antisemitic Discrimination, Harassment

President Donald Trump’s Department of Education warned 60 universities in a letter on Monday of potential enforcement actions if they continue to allow discrimination and harassment against Jewish students on campuses.

The letter from the department’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is the agency’s latest action cracking down on the often violent pro-Palestinian protests and riots on university campuses amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza following the horrific October 7 terror attack in Israel.

“The Department is deeply disappointed that Jewish students studying on elite U.S. campuses continue to fear for their safety amid the relentless antisemitic eruptions that have severely disrupted campus life for more than a year. University leaders must do better,” Secretary of Education Linda McMahon said in a statement. “U.S. colleges and universities benefit from enormous public investments funded by U.S. taxpayers. US-Backed Kurds Reach Deal To Merge With HTS-Led Syrian Government

The deal comes after HTS forces massacred Alawite civilians in western Syria

On Monday, the US-backed Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) signed a deal to merge into the new Syrian government, which is led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, an offshoot of al-Qaeda.

The deal was signed between SDF chief Mazloum Abdi and Syria’s de-facto leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, formerly known as Abu Mohammad al-Julani. The SDF controls a significant portion of Syria’s northeast, where there are about 2,000 US troops deployed.

According to a statement from Sharaa’s office, the deal will “integrate all civil and military institutions in northeast Syria [Rojava] under the administration of the Syrian state, including border crossings, the [Qamishli International] Airport, and oil and gas fields.”

The agreement comes after Sharaa’s HTS forces conducted a series of massacres in northwest Syria amid fighting with militias in the region, killing around 1,000 civilians, the vast majority being Alawites, although some Christians were slaughtered as well.

In response to the massacres, Sharaa ordered the creation of a committee that he claims will investigate the “reasons, circumstances and context.” Local sources said most of the perpetrators of the massacres were foreigners, Uzbeks, Uyghurs, and Chechens, and only a small percentage were Syrian. The HTS-led government absorbed foreign jihadists into its military and appointed some to senior roles.

While his forces just went on a killing spree against minorities in the northwest, Sharaa still insists that his government will be “inclusive.” The deal he signed with Abdi says that all Syrians will be part of the political process regardless of religion or ethnicity and pledges the Kurds will have their “constitutional rights.”

The SDF has been battling with Turkey and its proxy, the Syrian National Army (SNA), in northern Syria, and those clashes continued on Monday as Abdi was signing the deal with Sharaa. Turkey considers the SDF the Syrian wing of the PKK, which has fought Ankara for decades.

The PKK’s jailed leader recently called for the group to disarm, which was followed by the PKK announcing a ceasefire with Turkey. But Turkey has continued military operations against Kurdish militants in Syria and Iraq.

The sweeping gag order, issued by the Rishon Lezion Magistrate’s Court, will remain in effect for 30 days. It bans reporting on any details of the investigation, including the questioning of suspects and the findings of such interrogations.

The court also stipulated that details cannot be published on social media in addition to the press, and that Israeli media cannot quote any details of the investigation published by foreign media, cannot direct media consumers to such reports, and cannot allude in any way to the details of the investigation.

Negotiations on a peaceful settlement between the United States and Ukrainian delegations took place today in Saudi Arabia. Washington is firmly determined to force Kiev into a ceasefire. The first steps in this direction have already been taken: arms deliveries have been suspended and the exchange of intelligence has been partially halted. Vladimir Zelensky faces a difficult task. On the one hand, he must show the United States that he is willing to negotiate. On the other hand, he must shift the responsibility for the breakdown of the negotiation process to Russia. This is not easy, because Donald Trump’s administration is well aware of the situation on the ground. The level of analysis in the White House is sufficient to determine the true motives behind the actions of the Ukrainian presidential administration.

Kiev, inspired by its European patrons, decided to offer the American side its own version of the roadmap for achieving a ceasefire. This option looks more like a trick.

Such an idea seems very strange, since Trump is calling for an immediate ceasefire everywhere – at sea, in the air, and on land. The option proposed by the Kiev leadership is disadvantageous for Moscow. If the Kremlin rejects it, Ukraine will be able to “wash its hands” and accuse Vladimir Putin of aggressive intentions.

Tom Homan warns Congress: We will soon run out of money for deportations

'When we arrest somebody, we got to have a bed to put them in for removal.'

Border czar Tom Homan told Fox Business on Monday that the federal government will soon run out of the money earmarked for deportations and that Congress needs to provide more funds.

Homan stated before President Donald Trump entered office in January that in order to have millions of deportations every year, departments like Homeland Security and Defense will need over $80 billion. One of the most acute problems is the shortage of bed space for detained illegal immigrants waiting to be processed for deportation.

"We're running out of beds in two weeks. We're at about 46,000 in custody now. We ought to be at 65,000 at this point in time. And we when run out of beds, we stop interior operations. When we arrest somebody, we got to have a bed to put them in for removal," Homan said.

'The CBP Home app gives aliens the option to leave now and self-deport.'

"So Congress does need to get the funding we need so this administration can keep the promises made to the American people. … We're doing great. The border [crossings] are down 97%," he continued.

Homan clarified that media reports of the Trump administration not deporting as many illegal immigrants as the Biden-Harris administration are false because the deportation numbers today are higher and are only from the interior. Under the Biden-Harris administration, deportations at the southern border were added to the interior deportations because of the high number of illegal crossings.

While the Trump administration is using flights by the U.S. military to increase air capacity for deportations, it likewise increased the price tag for flights.

To further encourage illegal immigrants to leave the United States on their own, the Department of Homeland Security announced this week that the CBP One app is now the CBP Home app. Previously used by the Biden-Harris administration to let illegal immigrants through ports of entry and then release them via mass parole, the app is now designed to have users submit their information and confirmation that they have left the United States to avoid the penalties that come with being deported.

The more illegal aliens who use the app to return home, the more federal resources can be spent on the holdouts.

"The CBP Home app gives aliens the option to leave now and self-deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American dream. If they don’t, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return," Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.
