Something very evil has gotten ahold of the Minnesota DFL.

House Democrats vote against bill to restore protections for infants who survive botched abortions.

On Thursday, HF24, the bill attempting to restore the “Born Alive Act” language to state statute, failed to pass by one vote, as 67 Republicans voted for the proposal and 66 Democrats voted against it. Bills need 68 votes to pass.

Republicans on the floor said, “this bill is specifically addressing cases where the infant is born alive as the result of an abortion, and we fully recognize this child as a human person and provide care to preserve the life,” said Rep. Kristin Robbins, R-Maple Grove. “‘Comfort care’ is not preserving the life. And it's incumbent on us that if a baby is born alive, to try to save their life.”

Sarah Zagorski is a survivor of an attempted abortion. She said during a Feb. 12 committee hearing that her mother, after seeking an abortion, threatened to sue a doctor who was not intending to offer care to Zagorski after she survived an abortion procedure, and her mother changed her mind. Zagorski urged legislators to pass the bill to protect people like her.

Holy underwear Batman! A CNN poll? That means the Democrats' approval rating is actually even lower than 29%.

The Democratic Party has dropped to a new record low among Americans, reaching only a 29% favorability rating, according to a CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

In the CNN/SSRS poll conducted from March 6-9, respondents were asked about their views on both the Republican and Democratic parties, with a margin of sampling error of +/- 3.3 for total respondents. The data show that Democratic favorability has been on a sharp decline since January 2021, and an 18-point drop since the beginning of the Biden-Harris administration.

According to the data, Democratic-aligned adults state that the party’s leadership is currently taking Democrats in the wrong direction. “Look at the numbers here for Democrats: 27% positive, more than double, 55% negative,” Kornacki said. “This is what’s happened to the Democrats since the election.”

$1.1 TRILLION of improper Medicaid payments!

Simply following the law and paying only for what Medicaid allows would save hundreds of billions of dollars without ending coverage for any of Medicaid’s intended recipients.

The federal government issued roughly $1.1 trillion of improper Medicaid payments over the last decade. That’s a whopping $8,200 per U.S. household.

The primary reason for the discrepancy is that the Obama and Biden administrations excluded eligibility checks in their audits of improper payments in Medicaid. But eligibility errors and failures to properly assess eligibility prior to enrollment are the biggest sources of improper payments.

Since Medicaid is a means-tested welfare program and includes different federal reimbursement rates based on enrollees’ eligibility status, checking eligibility is crucial. In many cases, individuals who are not eligible for the program are enrolled in it, and in other instances, those enrolled are wrongly classified.
