Ten days or so after the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project disclosed that nearly every document bearing former President Biden's signature during his first term had been signed by an autopen—except for one—questions arose over whether executive orders and pardons could be deemed invalid, as we noted that Biden's staff likely leveraged his rapid cognitive deterioration to sign those documents via autopen.

Overnight, President Trump declared that the 11th-hour pardons, including those given to members of Congress who investigated the January 6 insurrection, were "void, vacant, and of no further force or effect, because of the fact that they were done by autopen." Some of those last-minute pardons include Deep Staters, such as former Representative Liz Cheney, retired General Mark Milley, and government scientist Anthony Fauci.

"The "Pardons" that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen," Trump wrote on Truth Social late Sunday night.

The president continued: "In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them! The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime."

He went on to say that members of that House committee are "subject to investigation at the highest level"…

Not long after sparking outrage inside and outside the country by barring right-wing frontrunner Calin Georgescu from running in May’s presidential election, Romania has barred another populist from the contest, attributing the decision to the candidate's supposedly unacceptable policy stances and "making declarations "contrary to democratic values."

Romania's electoral commission on Saturday announced that Diana Sosoaca would be banned from competing for the country's presidency. That news is troubling enough on its face, but the Central Election Bureau's rationale makes the development all the more chilling: Sosoaca is supposedly unfit for office because she has publicly voiced opposition to Romania's memberships in the European Union and NATO.

The court said Sosoaca's stances are disqualifying because EU and NATO memberships are explicitly acknowledged in Romania's constitution. However, constitutions can be changed via legal processes, and any rational champion of democratic principles should think political candidates should be free to advocate for changes.

Like Georgescu, Sosoaca has also been condemned for advocating for friendly relations with Russia. Last fall, she was banned from the November ballot on similar grounds. “I am proof that we do not live in a democracy," the morbidly obese Sosoaca said on Facebook this weekend as she promised to appeal the latest decision against her.

Dozens of NATO Officers Among Encircled Ukrainian Troops in Collapsing Kursk Pocket: Russian Media

Ahead of today’s donor conference in Brussels, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock pledged another €300 million ($326 million) for Syria through the United Nations and select organizations. Trump Says US Will Hold Iran Accountable for Houthi Attacks

US officials have acknowledged that the Houthis act independently and are unlikely to take orders from Tehran

President Trump on Monday issued a new threat to Iran, saying that he will hold Tehran accountable for Houthi attacks. The warning came after US officials acknowledged that the Houthis, officially known as Ansar Allah, act independently from Iran and are unlikely to take orders from Tehran.

“Let nobody be fooled! The hundreds of attacks being made by Houthi, the sinister mobsters and thugs based in Yemen, who are hated by the Yemeni people, all emanate from, and are created by, IRAN. Any further attack or retaliation by the ‘Houthis’ will be met with great force, and there is no guarantee that that force will stop there,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!” the president added.

Over the weekend, when Trump ordered a major round of airstrikes on Yemen, which killed at least 53 people, US officials told The Washington Post that the Houthis were independent actors.

“US officials have said that while Iran has provided significant support to the Houthis, they see the group as an independent actor that might not necessarily respond to Tehran’s instructions to stand down its maritime attacks,” the Post reported.

The Houthis have an arsenal of drones and missiles that are similar to Iranian ones, but they are believed to be produced domestically in Yemen. “The Houthis also have established their own substantial, independent weapons production capability,” the Post report said.

Iran has always denied US allegations that it arms the Houthis, a position it reiterated when it rejected Trump’s earlier threats related to Yemen. The US airstrikes on Yemen over the weekend provoked Houthi attacks on the aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman, which US officials said were intercepted.

Federal Reserve reveals shocking $134 trillion debt burden—where’s the money going?

There’s no sugarcoating it—global debt is spiraling out of control. We’re staring at a staggering $300 trillion debt load, which is over 349% of the world’s GDP. And to put that into perspective, each person on Earth is responsible for a whopping $37,500 in debt. And where exactly is all this money going? Who’s borrowing all of it? Let’s break it down because, according to the Federal Reserve’s Z.1 Financial Statistics, we’re tracking more than $134 trillion in dollar-denominated debt in the U.S. alone. Look at the data. State and local governments have their hands deep in the pockets of future generations. Domestic financial sectors aren’t any better, either—they’re swimming in securities and loans. But what’s truly terrifying is the fact that, just last quarter, household debt securities saw a $124 billion drop—the first time that’s happened since 2008. That’s a major red flag. When households aren’t borrowing, it signals something has shifted, and it’s not for the better.

But wait, it gets worse. Consumer credit dropped a massive $103 billion last quarter—the largest decline ever recorded, even bigger than the dip during the Covid crash. This tells you one thing: Americans are struggling. They’re not borrowing as freely as they once did. Why? Because the cost of living is suffocating, and credit is harder to come by.

So what does this mean? It means interest payments on the national debt are on the rise—and fast. Over the last year, we hit an eye-popping $1.2 trillion in interest payments. To put that in perspective, defense spending for the year was $900 billion. More of your taxpayer dollars are going to service debt than to fund the very programs we rely on.

Hold onto your seat, though, because it’s about to get even uglier. If interest rates stay flat, we’re looking at a $1.5 trillion interest payment by the end of this year. US, Israel see Syria as possible home for relocated Gazans, says report

Sources tell CBS that new government in Damascus has been approached as part of Trump’s Gaza plan, alongside Sudan and Somalia; Netanyahu’s office declines to comment

Israel and the United States are interested in resettling Gazans in Syria, CBS News reported on Monday, citing “three sources familiar with the effort.”

The report came as Israel is working quietly to advance a controversial plan proposed by US President Donald Trump, in which Gaza’s more than 2 million people would be permanently sent elsewhere.

He has proposed that the US take ownership of the war-torn territory, oversee a lengthy cleanup process and develop it as a real estate project. Analysts and observers have said the ambitious plan is improbable, and the US’s Arab allies have rejected any displacement of the Palestinians from the Strip.

One source said that the White House reached out to Syria’s new government through a third party. Another source “from the region” told CBS that Damascus has been approached with the idea, but a senior Syrian official said the country is not aware of any such outreach.

The Prime Minister’s Office declined to comment on the report.

Taking $200 Out of an ATM Should Not Trigger Federal Financial Surveillance

No, not even if you do it in a county that borders Mexico.

One of President Donald Trump's Day 1 executive orders designated "certain international cartels" as "foreign terrorist organizations," a classification that according to the State Department "play[s] a critical role in our fight against terrorism and [is] an effective means of curtailing support for terrorist activities and pressuring groups to get out of the terrorism business."

To that end, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) announced a new rule cracking down on cash transactions this week, but only in certain geographical regions. No matter the administration's intent to target cartels, the rule will expand government surveillance of its citizens.

FinCEN "issued a Geographic Targeting Order (GTO) to further combat the illicit activities and money laundering of Mexico-based cartels and other criminal actors along the southwest border of the United States," according to the announcement. "The GTO requires all money services businesses (MSBs) located in 30 ZIP codes across California and Texas near the southwest border to file Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) with FinCEN at a $200 threshold, in connection with cash transactions."

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the change "underscores our deep concern with the significant risk to the U.S. financial system of the cartels, drug traffickers, and other criminal actors along the Southwest border."

The order lists all 30 ZIP codes in counties that each abut the U.S.–Mexico border: San Diego and Imperial Counties in California; and Cameron, El Paso, Hidalgo, Maverick, and Webb Counties in Texas. California's are the state's only two border counties, but the five in Texas encompass only a small portion of the state's total southern border. It's not clear why these seven counties were chosen out of the 44 total border counties, including any in Arizona or New Mexico.

Federal law requires banks, as well as businesses that provide services like check cashing or currency exchange, to fill out CTRs as a means of protecting against illegal activity like money laundering. Financial transactions totaling at least $10,000 in cash per day—including deposits, withdrawals, or a combination—require a CTR, where the institution must collect and record personal identifying information from the client, like a Social Security or tax ID number. The reports are then sent to FinCEN. (CTRs are different from suspicious activity reports, which are only triggered when a financial institution actively suspects the customer might be doing something illegal.)

The rule remains in effect in the rest of the country, but in those seven border counties, FinCEN has dropped the reporting threshold from $10,000 to $200. While ATM transactions don't often qualify since they typically have a much lower withdrawal limit, they are technically also subject to the CTR threshold—meaning a $200 cash withdrawal in one of seven counties could soon make one subject to a federal financial report.

"More than one million Americans are about to face a new level of financial surveillance," writes Nicholas Anthony, a policy analyst at the Cato Institute. "Financial surveillance in the United States has long needed reform, but this move is in the wrong direction."

Anthony says rather than lowering the threshold, the $10,000 baseline is overdue to be raised.

U.S. district judge Hernan Vera terminated Biden’s lawsuit against Garrett Ziegler Thursday over the public database Ziegler made with emails and images from the younger Biden’s infamous laptop hard drive and iPhone server.

An appointee of Hunter Biden’s father, former President Joe Biden, Vera tossed Biden’s legal challenge with prejudice, meaning he cannot bring the lawsuit again at some point in the future

“To be clear, the Court does not express any opinion concerning the underlying merits of the case. And the Court accepts the detailed representations made by Plaintiff as to the reasons motivating his request to dismiss. But under Fed. R. Civ. P. 41, and on these facts, Plaintiff’s request to dismiss without prejudice is not warranted,” Vera said in an order.

Hunter Biden asked Vera to toss the case last week because of financial struggles due to dried up book sales and art sales starting in late 2023, when he was indicted on federal tax charges and the subject of a high-profile impeachment investigation by House Republicans. The loss of income also coincided with the collapse of Joe Biden’s political career last summer due to his advanced age and evidently declining mental faculties.

Last year, Biden’s art dealer Georges Berges testified before congressional investigators about how he ended his contract with Biden in September 2023 for business and political reasons. Berges said Biden sold approximately $1.5 million worth of art, $875,000 of which was purchased by his friend and financial benefactor Kevin Morris, a wealthy entertainment lawyer. Morris confirmed the art purchases when he testified before congress, and his lawyer subsequently disclosed to lawmakers $6.5 million of financial assistance Morris gave to Biden in the form of loan.

“While I believe in the merits of this case, and, indeed, note that Defendant Garrett Ziegler admitted to hacking my iCloud in multiple public statements, I am requesting to dismiss this action because I do not have the financial resources to continue litigating this case,” Biden said.

Saudi-led project clears 484,949 mines, explosive devices in Yemen

A Saudi-led humanitarian initiative in Yemen has seen a milestone 484,949 land mines and unexploded ordnance cleared since the start of the project in 2018, according to a recent report.

These include 323,793 items of unexploded ordnance, 146,207 anti-tank mines, 8,200 improvised explosive devices, and 6,749 anti-personnel mines, according to Ousama Al-Gosaibi, the project’s managing director.

Project Masam, overseen by the Kingdom’s aid agency KSrelief, continues to remove deadly devices laid in the war-torn country by the Houthis.

Last week, the project’s special teams destroyed 515 items of unexploded ordnance, 25 anti-tank mines, five anti-personnel mines, and three improvised explosive devices.

Explosives planted indiscriminately by the Houthis across Yemen pose a threat to civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.

Project Masam is one of several initiatives undertaken by Saudi Arabia on the orders of King Salman to help the Yemeni people, clearing routes for humanitarian aid to reach the country’s citizens.

Demining operations took place in Marib, Aden, Jouf, Shabwa, Taiz, Hodeidah, Lahij, Sanaa, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhale, and Saada.

The initiative trains local demining engineers and provides them with modern equipment. It also offers support to Yemenis injured by the devices.

About 5 million people have been forced to flee their homes since the start of the conflict in Yemen, many of them displaced by the presence of land mines.

Masam teams are tasked with clearing villages, roads, and schools to facilitate the safe movement of civilians and the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Jewish Groups Threaten Irish PM With 'Serious Action' During His Diplomatic Trip to U.S.

The American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League welcomed Irish Taoiseach Micheal Martin to America by threatening him with "serious action" against Ireland if they don't address their "problematic" positions on Israel.

Jewish representative groups have addressed "antisemitism and vilification of Israel" in Ireland with Taoiseach Micheal Martin.

Mr Martin attended a meeting with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the American Jewish Committee (AJC) in Washington DC on Friday.

It said Ireland is seen as "one of the most problematic countries in Europe".

AJC director of international Jewish affairs Rabbi Andrew Baker said: "Antisemitism is pervasive in Ireland, posing serious risks for its 3,000 Jews, many of whom hold Israeli citizenship.

"Alongside physical harassment and attacks, widespread anti-Israel sentiment — including in parts of the government — affects daily life. Jewish school children face bullying, university students encounter hostility, and workplaces are increasingly unwelcoming."

In the meeting, Mr Baker expressed AJC's "grave concern over Ireland's vilification of the State of Israel", in particular joining the South African case in the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

It also raised President Michael Higgins' "attacks on Israel", and Mr Martin's "own deeply problematic remarks".

The AJC said Mr Martin had accused Israel of committing war crimes, pursuing "collective punishment of the Palestinian people," as well as using "starvation as a weapon of war".

The group said that Mr Baker explained that these statements are "contributing to antisemitism facing Ireland's Jews" and urged him to pull back from its engagement with the ICJ.

The ACJ said if such action and statements continue, it will advocate for the US government to "take serious action in response".

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said last month that the Jewish state is working on a plan to move displaced Palestinians to Ireland, Spain, Norway and Canada.

Katz claimed such countries are "legally obligated" to take in the refugees from Israel's war – though the Irish begged to differ.

Betar – which the pro-Israel Anti-Defamation League has blacklisted after comments like "not enough" babies were killed in Gaza – says it provided "thousands of names" for possible arrest and expulsion.

Betar, the international far-right pro-Israel group that took credit for the Department of Homeland Security’s arrest of former Columbia University graduate student and permanent U.S. resident Mahmoud Khalil for protesting the annihilation of Gaza, claimed this week that it has sent “thousands of names” of Palestine defenders to Trump administration officials for possible deportation.

“Jihadis have no place in civilized nations,” Betar said on social media Friday following the publication of a Guardian article on the extremist group’s activities.

Earlier this week, Betar said: “We told you we have been working on deportations and will continue to do so. Expect naturalized citizens to start being picked up within the month. You heard it here first. Those who support jihad and intifada and originate in terrorist states will be sent back to those lands.”

Betar has been gloating about last week’s arrest of Khalil, the lead negotiator for the group Columbia University Apartheid Divest during the April 2024 Gaza Solidarity Encampment.

On Thursday, immigration officers arrested another Columbia Gaza protester, Leqaa Kordia – a Palestinian from the illegally occupied West Bank – for allegedly overstaying her expired student visa. Kordia was also arrested last April during one of the Columbia campus protests against the Gaza onslaught.

On Friday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said that Ranjani Srinivasan, an Indian doctoral student at Columbia whose visa was revoked on March 5 for alleged involvement “in activities supporting” Hamas – the Palestinian resistance group designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government – used the Customs and Border Protection’s self-deportation app and, according to media reports, has left the country.

Khalil and Kordia’s arrests come as the Trump administration targets Columbia and other schools over pro-Palestinian protests under the guise of combating antisemitism, despite the Ivy League university’s violent crackdown on demonstrations and revocation of degrees from some pro-Palestine activists.

U.S. President Donald Trump, who in January signed an executive order authorizing the deportation of noncitizen students and others who took part in protests against Israel’s war on Gaza, called Khalil’s detention “the first arrest of many to come.”

The Department of Justice announced Friday that it is investigating whether pro-Palestinian demonstrators at the school violated federal anti-terrorism laws. This followed Thursday’s search of two Columbia dorm rooms by DHS agents and the cancellation earlier this month of $400 million worth of funding and contracts for Columbia because the Trump administration says university officials haven’t done enough to tackle alleged antisemitism on campus.

On Friday, Betar named Mohsen Mahdawi, a Palestinian studying philosophy at Columbia, as its next target.

New Study: COVID-19 Vaccine “Millions of Lives Saved” Claim Debunked by Real-World Data

Our World Data reports that in 2021, 6.08 million more people died than in 2020. Several articles claim that COVID-19 vaccination in 2021 saved 14 million lives. Their proposition that COVID-19 vaccination saved lives was not proved by statistical data. These articles’ calculations evaluate how many people would die without the vaccination. But it was never proved that vaccination saved lives. Statistical data confirm that the mortality of the vaccinated part of the population in 2021 was 14.5% higher than the mortality of the unvaccinated part of the population. The idea of saving lives with COVID-19 vaccination contradicts statistical data.

Here are the key points of this study:

6.08 million more deaths occurred in 2021 than in 2020, despite widespread COVID-19 vaccination.

Mortality rate among vaccinated individuals was 14.5% higher than among unvaccinated individuals.
