University of Kentucky staff is reaching out and letting me know that reportedly UK has not actually shut down their DEI office as they have claimed, but instead have renamed the department The Office of Access, Community, and Engagement (ACE).

The Kentucky Legislature passed HB4 which bans DEI initiatives and trainings in public colleges and universities. It has been delivered to Beshear where he will veto the bill, and the Legislature will almost certainly overcome.
