wtaf is a "reassurance force"? Do they pass out hugs, blankets and pacifiers? They used to be labelled "peacekeepers", but it was repeatedly pointed out to Maclown and two-tier Kier that peacekeepers - by definition - can't be participants in the conflict. And Zelensky has refused the UN peacekeeper proposal, and Zelensky's regime is now demanding that they be "combat ready" when they show up. What, to fight Ukraine when they violate the ceasefire, as they are already doing? This is NATO involvement, against Russia, they are attempting to force direct US involvement in the conflict, by evoking sympathy in the court of public opinion / propaganda when they label Putin a "murderer" for opening fire on troops sent into an active war. This is not peacekeeping, this is not reassurance, this is escalation by becoming involved in actual face to face combat.
This is so transparent as to be laughable, but this is what the leaders of France and the UK have been espousing all along.
So, these sacrificial troops had to be rebranded. They will be targeted upon arrival, hence Zaluzhny setting the tone that "Article 5 doesn't exist". He even dyed his hair for the occasion.
This is literally suicide, for the troops, and for the politicians careers that are sending them.
