Trump 'Very Angry' & 'Pissed Off' At Putin, Threatens New Tariffs

Why should Russia's refusal to make big concessions come as any surprise to either the White House or mainstream media, given Russian forces are clearly steadily gaining on the battlefield?

In a phone interview with NBC on Sunday, President Donald Trump said, "if Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault — which it might not be — but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia."

Trump went on to say he's "very angry" and "pissed off" particularly at President Vladimir Putin's attacking the legitimacy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's and his leadership:

"I was very angry, pissed off" when Putin "started getting into [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky's credibility" and "started talking about new leadership" in Ukraine, Trump told NBC's Kristen Welker in a phone call.

Trump said that Putin's comments on Zelensky are "not going in the right location." This was in reference to a Friday plan pitched by Putin for a "transitional administration" for Ukraine under the auspices of the UN.

The immediate aim would be ceasefire leading toward "democratic" election, followed by the negotiation of a peace agreement with the new authorities.

"We could, of course, discuss with the United States, even with European countries, and of course with our partners and friends, under the auspices of the UN, the possibility of establishing a transitional administration in Ukraine," Putin said while visiting the northwestern Russian city of Murmansk.

He laid out that "we could discuss the possibility of introduction of temporary governance in Ukraine," while Ukraine holds "democratic elections, to bring to power a capable government that enjoys the trust of the people."

After this, he explained, the two warring sides would "start talks with them about a peace treaty." Putin has in the recent past complained that Zelensky is 'illegitimate' and thus can't legally be negotiated with, since he has canceled democratic elections on an indefinite basis.

So Trump has clearly brushed this aside in the new Sunday comments…

It is being reported that “at least five” B-2 stealth bombers have been deployed to the island of Diego Garcia…

The US military has sent at least five B-2 Spirit stealth bombers to highly strategic island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.

These heavy bombers can obliterate targets with their huge 25 tonne bomb payload per jet.

This means the US’s deadly fleet of five could carry an astounding 125 tonnes of bombs.

For those that do not know, Afghanistan was relentlessly bombed by U.S. air assets based in Diego Garcia during the invasion of that nation in 2001, and Iraq was relentlessly bombed by U.S. air assets based in Diego Garcia during the invasion of that nation in 2003.

Currently, the U.S. only possesses 20 B-2 stealth bombers, and so that means that 25 percent of them are now in Diego Garcia.

It is being speculated that these B-2 bombers could be involved in the ongoing campaign to bomb the Houthis in Yemen, but it is important to note that these B-2 bombers would also be ideal for carrying out the sort of “bunker buster” strikes that would be necessary to take out Iran’s nuclear program…

The bombers present a unique mix of capabilities, particularly their ability to penetrate past dense enemy air defenses to carry out ‘bunker buster’ strikes employing 30,000-pound class GBU-57/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bombs. Iran Rejects Talks with U.S.; Trump Threatens Bombing as ‘Never Seen Before’

Iran rejected talks with the United States on Sunday, as President Donald Trump threatened to bomb the country as “never seen before” to prevent the terror-supporting state from becoming a nuclear-armed power.

Trump said in early March that he had sent a letter to the so-called Islamic Republic’s “Supreme Leader,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, proposing direct talks over Iran’s nuclear program in order to prevent a military confrontation.

After Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen continued to launch missiles at Israel, as well as the U.S. Navy and international shipping in the Red Sea, Trump said that Iran would be held directly accountable for the actions of its proxy.

The Associated Press reported that Iran had rejected Trump’s offer — and that Trump threatened bombing in response:

Iran’s president said Sunday that the Islamic Republic rejected direct negotiations with the United States over its rapidly advancing nuclear program, offering Tehran’s first response to a letter President Donald Trump sent to the country’s supreme leader.

President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran’s response, delivered via the sultanate of Oman, left open the possibility of indirect negotiations with Washington.

The White House, the State Department and other officials offered no immediate reaction to the announcement. However, Trump said before Pezeshkian’s comments he was considering military action and secondary tariffs if Iran does not agree to a nuclear deal.

“If they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing and it will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before,” Trump said in a comment aired Sunday by NBC News.

Iran has no effective air defenses, after they were largely destroyed by Israel in retaliation for ballistic missile attacks last year. Iran is possibly gambling that Trump would not dare follow through on his recent threats of military action.

Morning-After Pills to Be Given Out Free of Charge at British Pharmacies

The leftist government in Britain has announced that the ‘morning-after’ birth control pill will be offered free of charge to women at pharmacies throughout the country.

The Sun newspaper reported that later this year, British taxpayers will be expected to fund subsidies for National Health Service (NHS) pharmacies to provide morning-after pills to women without charge throughout the country.

The morning-after pill can be taken up to five days after conception to terminate a pregnancy.

The move, expected to come amid a broader investment in pharmacies, has been pitched as a means of equalising the treatment offered to women and reducing the strain on the socialised healthcare system.

The government has claimed that some women are disadvantaged by where they live in the country, with some areas charging up to £30 for the birth control pill.

The poll, published in the scientific journal Nature, revealed 75.3% of the responding scientists are considering leaving, while 24.7% are not.

Scientists, especially those who are younger and early into their careers, were more likely than older scientists to consider leaving the United States.

The poll showed of 690 postgraduate researchers responding, 548 were considering leaving the U.S. Of the 340 doctoralstudents, 255 of them said they were also considering leaving the country for more science-friendly nations.

The study, which was co-led by Sean Houghton of Weill Cornell Medical College and Hospital in New York, also involved a team of over two dozen researchers from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the University of Toronto Medical Center and other hospitals.

Wisconsin Voter Integrity Battle: 5,000 Allegedly Illegal Registrations Submitted

Ahead of Wisconsin’s high-profile elections on Tuesday, an election integrity watchdog, Fair Elections Wisconsin (FEW), has raised concerns about nearly 5,000 allegedly illegal voter registrations in Milwaukee.

The group claims these registrations were used to cast ballots in the November election, and their challenge to the city’s voter rolls has sparked controversy.

On Wednesday, FEW President Justin Gavery submitted a list of 4,878 allegedly illegal voter registrations to the Milwaukee Election Commission (MEC).

According to the group’s review of data from the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) and the U.S. Postal Service’s National Change of Address database, the registrations involved voters who had either moved out of the county or state before the October 24, 2024, deadline for voter registration.

Israel appoints director to oversee 'voluntary emigration' of Palestinians from Gaza

Defense Minister Israel Katz appointed Col. (res) Yaakov (Kobi) Blitstein, currently Defense Ministry deputy director-general, as the head of the Directorate for the Voluntary Emigration of Gaza Residents, the ministry announced on Sunday.

Blitstein previously served as director-general of the foreign ministry and energy ministry, respectively, acting director-general of the finance ministry, head of national infrastructure at the finance ministry, and deputy director-general for planning and infrastructure development at the transportation ministry.

Blitstein holds a BA in economics, political science, and sociology from Bar-Ilan University, a second BA in law from Ono Academic College, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. He is also a licensed attorney.

Karadi has spent 31 years in the IDF, with his most recent post being as the typo official for the Communications Command.

Brig.-Gen. (res.) Yossi Karadi has been approved as the new chief of the National Cyber Directorate, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday.

Karadi is replacing Gaby Portnoy, who has served in the post since February 2022.

The brigadier-general has spent 31 years in the IDF, most recently as the top official of the Communications Command. Most of his experience has been in communications, which has significant implications for cyberdefense.

During the years 2011-2013, Karadi was the battalion commander of the Eitanim vehicles, with a focus on ensuring that communications infrastructure was set up in the critical spots where it needed to be across the country.

From 2013-2015 he was the communications chief for Division 162 of the Southern Command, including during the 2014 Gaza conflict, for which he was credited for carrying out the first digital war.

Elon Musk sells X to his own AI company for $33 billion

Musk’s $33B merger of xAI and X signals a deeper AI-social media integration.

Elon Musk's xAI has acquired X in a deal that values the social media platform at $33 billion and allows the value of his artificial intelligence firm to be shared with his co-investors in the company formerly known as Twitter.

The deal could also help xAI's ability to train its chatbot known as Grok.

"xAI and X's futures are intertwined," Musk, who also heads automaker Tesla and SpaceX, wrote in a post on X: "Today, we officially take the step to combine the data, models, compute, distribution and talent."

He said the combination values "xAI at $80 billion and X at $33 billion ($45B less $12B debt)."

Representatives for X and xAI did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Much of the deal's specifics remain unclear, such as how X's leaders would be integrated in the new firm or whether there would be regulatory scrutiny.

Schools are no place for the ADL: Examining the ADL’s ‘No Place for Hate’ program

The Anti-Defamation League's flagship "No Place for Hate" program brings the organization's Israel advocacy into K-12 schools across the country under the guise of anti-bias education. Administrators and educators should be on alert.

Although the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has long portrayed itself as a champion of civil rights, this has been undermined by its unconditional support for Israel and its efforts to weaponize antisemitism against Israel’s critics. As those fighting racism increasingly embrace the cause for Palestinian human rights, the ADL has moved further away from its commitment to racial justice.

As a former ADL education director Danielle Bryant wrote in the New York Daily News:

I watched from the inside as the ADL erased racial justice from its civil rights priorities, caved to pressure from conservative media for being “too woke,” and quietly abandoned core education programs. The shift began with an internal pause on its use of the word “racism”. . . . Then, it removed “racial justice” from its portfolio altogether. . . . Then, it removed more than 100 lesson plans that helped educators address bias against LGBTQ, Muslim, and immigrant students.

With this in mind, it’s worth examining the ADL’s major education programs and what they offer — and don’t offer — schools. Starting with its flagship program – No Place for Hate.

Problems with ‘No Place for Hate’

The No Place for Hate (NPFH) program is one of the largest ways the ADL partners with K-12 educational institutions, reaching 2,000 schools, 190,000 educators and 1.8 million students — according to the ADL website. The program caters to both elementary and secondary schools, with a stated mission to empower students, teachers, and parents to “stand against bias and bullying” with school-wide pledges, projects, and games aimed at celebrating diversity and stamping out hate in the halls, in the cafeteria, and in the classroom — anywhere that hate may manifest.

The ADL claims to help administrators, teachers, and parents build “inclusive and safe communities in which respect and equity are the goals and where all students can thrive.” It’s hard to resist such a pitch, particularly when it comes with banners, buttons, balloons and bracelets as part of a polished package that outlines a step-by-step approach to creating community through “I Am” poems, peer-to-peer interviews, school surveys and collages of diverse smiling students.
