Diplomat explains Putin’s proposal for temporary Ukraine administration

The Russian president has suggested that UN-backed external governance in Kiev could provide a legitimate foundation for peace negotiations

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to establish atemporary international administration in Ukraine under UN supervision is based on historical precedents, according to Kirill Logvinov, who heads the Foreign Ministry’s Department of International Organizations. He told TASS on Sunday thatthe UN already has experience with this process.

Moscow has repeatedly stated thatit is not possible to sign a peace agreement with Kievbecause the currentUkrainian leadership lacks legitimacy. Vladimir Zelensky’s presidential term expired in May 2024, though he has remained in office without holding elections, citing martial law.

Putin suggested earlier this week that creating “external management or temporary administration” under theUN could facilitate elections in Ukraine and provide a legitimate foundation for negotiations. A peace deal signed with a newly elected leader, he said, “would be recognized around the world” and could not be overturned later.

“There is no formal mechanism for creating such administrations in the UN,” Logvinov acknowledged. However, he noted that the UN has established transitional authorities in several post-conflict areas, including Cambodia, East Timor, and Eastern Slavonia, setting a precedent for this type of arrangement.

“In all cases, the first step was reaching an agreement between the parties to the conflict – directly or through intermediaries – on the appropriate transfer of powers to the UN,”he explained. Once an agreement is reached, the parties or their mediators would then submit a formal appeal to the UN. The Security Council would instruct the secretary-general to prepare a framework for the temporary administration, including a timeline and budget.

Logvinov stressed that the final decision rests with the UN Security Council following a report by the secretary-general outlining the form and functions of the proposed administration.

Officials in Kiev have rejected the idea. Andrey Kovalenko, the head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, claimed on Telegram that the plan is an attempt by Moscow to delay peace talks.

Washington has not formally commented on the proposal. However, Reuters quoted an unnamedWhite House national security spokesperson who said Ukraine’s governance should be determined by its constitution and people.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres dismissed the proposal on Friday, insisting that “Ukraine has a legitimate government, and so obviously that must be respected.”

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, currently the deputy chair of the Russian Security Council, criticized Guterres’ remarks, calling them a “double lie.” Referring to Zelensky in a post on X, he said:“The nit is illegitimate. There’s nothing to respect him for. He failed, his people are dying, and his country is disappearing.”

Baltic states fear Ukraine ceasefire – FT

Estonia and Lithuania are concerned Moscow could redeploy its forces to their borders if the fighting stops, the outlet has said

The Baltic nations believe a ceasefire in the Ukraine conflict would increase the security threat they face, the Financial Times has reported, citing the defense ministers of the countries. (Bullshit they are the hardline haters of Russia)

In recent weeks, a 30-day pause on strikes against energy infrastructure by Moscow and Kiev has been agreed upon, while there have been moves toward reviving the Black Sea grain deal as part of efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict.

The FT said in an article on Sunday that “a full ceasefire is still seen as far off,” but officials in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, who have been among the most vocal backers of Ukrainein the EU and NATO since the escalation between Moscow and Kiev in February 2022, are already concerned that it might be achieved at some point. (So they want to sacrifice Ukraine and not them)

“We all understand that when the war in Ukraine will be stopped, Russia will redistribute its forces very quickly. That means also the threat level will increase significantly very quickly,” Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur told the outlet.

Pevkur claimed that Moscow could redeploy 300,000 troops from the contact line with Ukraine to Russia’s western borders once a ceasefire takes effect.

Meanwhile, the Estonian defense minister rejected a plan by the UK and France to send a so-called “reassurance force” made up of Western European soldiers to Ukraine after the fighting stops.

“We cannot jeopardize the security of the eastern flank of NATO. We cannot fall into the trap that our forces are somehow fixed in Ukraine. Then we will have risks at our border,”he explained.

The article also cited Lithuanian Defense Minister Dovile Sakaliene, who said earlier this week that “Russia will use this time following a ceasefire to speed up its military capabilities. They already have a huge, battlefield-trained army, which is going to get even bigger.”

“Let us not have any illusions. Let us not lie to ourselves that Russia is going to be done after Ukraine,” she said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly dismissed claims that Moscow has any aggressive plans towards NATOas “nonsense”that is meant to scare the European population and justify increases in military spending.

US President Donald Trump’s special envoy,Steve Witkoff, who met with Putin at the Kremlin earlier this month, told American journalist Tucker Carlson last week thatRussia is “100% not” interested in invading NATO countries. Suggesting that Moscow harbors such plans is “preposterous,” according to Witkoff.

Ex-Italian PM reveals ‘secret mission’ for Zelensky

The Ukrainian leader reportedly asked Massimo D’Alema to seek help from China and Brazil to prevent Kiev’s collapse

Former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D’Alema has claimed that he undertook a secret diplomatic mission to Brazil and Chinaon behalf of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky to garner international support, amid fears that Kiev would be abandoned by its Western backers.

The revelation was made during a conversation with Italian politician Gianfranco Fini published by La Repubblica on Thursday. According to D’Alema,Zelensky approached him sometime in 2024, expressing fears of a potential catastrophe as Western support waned.

“I happened to speak with Zelensky on the sidelines of an initiative on the Balkans. And he told me clearly that his country was at risk of disasterbecause ‘the Americans will withdraw sooner or later, and the Europeans are not reliable,’”the former prime minister told Fini.

“He asked me to go to Brazil and Beijing to find out if Lula and Xi Jinping could do something,”D’Alema claimed. Neither Brazil nor China has publicly confirmed any visits by the former Italian official.

In Brasilia, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva reportedly dismissed the initiative outright, insisting that Ukraine is an “American problem.”

“I went there, but Lula almost showed me the door, telling me that Ukraine was a problem for the Americansand that, according to him, I should be interested in Palestine instead,”D’Alema said.

In China, D’Alema reportedly met with one of the Communist Party’s top foreign policy officials, and discussed the idea of an international peacekeeping force for Ukraine. At the end of the meeting, the Chinese official is said to have remarked:“You know, you are the first European who came to talk to us about this. The others are just asking us not to support Russia.”

The former prime minister also criticized the EU for fueling what he described as unrealistic expectations about the conflict.“Europe has done nothing but repeat that Russia could be defeated, when it was clear to everyone that the war could not be won by anyone,” he said.

Conference in EU state demands end to Russia sanctions

Slovak politicians and economists argue that the measures “have never worked” and backfired on the countries that imposed them

Slovakia hosted a conference on Saturday calling for the removal of EU sanctions against Russia, with politicians and economists warning that the measures have backfired on the countries that imposed them – including Slovakia.

The event – For Slovakia Without Sanctions – was held in Bratislava and promoted a petition for a referendum aimed atpersuading the Slovak government to push for the removal of the sanctions at the EU level.

The petition, initiated by the left-wing Party of Slovak Revival and the right-wing Homeland Party late last year, has so far gained more than300,000 signatures, the organizers said.

Pavol Slota, the leader of the Homeland Party and one of the authors of the petition, argued thatSlovakia’s future depends on ending the sanctions.

“It is about our whole nation, all Slovak citizens, about us fighting for our own future. We must do everything so that our message reaches every single Slovak citizen,” he said.

“If we leave everything as it is, it may happen so that we may not get a second chance… I have to ask you, do you respect weak people who adapt, who somehow just go along with the crowd? Or do you respect the strong people who respect themselves?” Slota said, urging people to support the campaign in defense of “our values, our traditions, our families, our nation.”

Economist and professor Peter Stanek told attendees that research, including from Western sources, has shown that the sanctions are ineffective.

“There are dozens of studies thatclearly show that sanctions have never worked,”Stanek said. “They always affected those who imposed them…They drove the energy sector crazy.”

He added that European energy prices have been growing since 2021,warning that new US tariffson EU exports and Brussels’ own costly militarization and climate programs will further amplify the economic fallout.

Those sanctions begin to take on a completely different dimension[due] to the cretinismreigning in Brussels and the European Commission,” he said. “I can’t call it anything else, because they’ve probably run out of common sense.” KEK

Former Slovak Justice Minister Stefan Harabin also addressed the conference, accusing the EU of “provoking the Russians” with sanctions and escalating the conflict by arming Kiev.

Under Slovakia’s constitution, the president can call a referendum if a petition gathers 350,000 valid signatures. The organizers pledged to continue collecting signatures. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, a critic of EU policy on Ukraine, has called the sanctions counterproductive. He urged Brussels to re-engage with Moscow and warned that the bloc’s confrontational approach is hurting its own member states.

NYT reveals ‘secret history’ of US meddling in Ukraine conflict

Washington became a “part of the kill chain” by providing invaluable intelligence and strategic support, one official told the paper

Theadministration of US President Joe Biden was far more deeply involved in backing Ukraine’s fightagainst Russia than previously acknowledged, a New York Times investigation has claimed, stressing that Washington’s intelligence was indispensable for Kiev's military operations.

The lengthy report released on Saturday offers a deep dive into an “extraordinary partnership of intelligence, strategy, planning and technology”that became Kiev’s “secret weapon” in countering Russia.

While the Pentagon supplied Ukraine with tens of billions of dollars in military aid, it also provided crucial intelligence that enabled Kiev to attack Russian command and control centers and other high-value targets starting in mid-2022, the NYT said.

According to the article, theheart of this partnership lay at the US Army facility in Wiesbaden, Germany, where American and Ukrainian officers set daily targeting priorities which they reportedly referred to as “points of interest,” for fear of appearing too provocative.

American and Ukrainian officers planned major counteroffensives together and launched large long-range high-precision strikes, using Western-supplied weapons on Russia’s Crimea, the NYT also claimed. The strikes using Western-supplied missiles have led to civilian casualties, with one ATACMS attack on a Sevastopol beach in June 2024 killing four and injuring more than 150.

The US has also dispatched dozens of military advisers to Ukraine, some of whom were allowed to travel close to the frontline.

In 2024, the US extended its permissions to allow Ukraine carry out limited long-range strikes using American-supplied weapons into internationally recognized Russian territory – for years considered a “red line.” Washington provided Kiev with the targeting data for the strikes.

OneEuropean intelligence official was shockedby the level of US involvement in the conflict, telling the Times, “they are part of the kill chain now.”

The cooperation, however, was at times tenuous due to disagreements over strategy and objectives, especially in the run-up to Ukraine’s botched counteroffensive in the southern sector of the front in the summer of 2023.

American officials reportedly viewed theUkrainians as too ambitious and dismissive of strategic advice. The Ukrainians accused the Americans of being overly cautious. During the 2023 counteroffensive, the Ukrainian leadership was split between competing objectives – pursuing an assault toward Melitopol, and defending Artemovsk (Bakhmut). This reportedly undermined the unified strategy developed in Wiesbaden.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Ukraine “cannot exist” without outside support. Moscow has repeatedly denounced Western involvement in the conflict, saying it would only prolong the hostilities without changing their outcome.

However, the administration of US President Donald Trump has engaged with Russia with the aim of ending the conflict, an engagement that Moscow has described as productive.

(This was not any surprise to Russia or the world, but the admission is Joe Bidan went to war with Russia with House and Senate approval, and the dummies there never demanded it.Except for a few brave ones.)

Zelenskyy, With EU Support, Continues Looking for Any Excuse to Derail or Avoid Peace Talks – Rejects Mineral Deal, Demands EU Ascension and Security Guarantees 1/2

March 30, 2025 | Sundance |

The dynamic is obvious to any intellectually honest observer, which is to say U.S. and Western media disqualify themselves and continue pushing preferred EU narratives.

Ukraine President VolodymyrZelensky has rejected the latest U.S. proposal for a minerals dealthat would create a partnership to repay the United States for ongoing financial support. According to Zelenskyy, the deal to share in oil, gas and mineral revenue would amount to debt that would disqualify them from EU membership due to unstable financials.

However, it is important for U.S. readers to remember the U.S. aid package already underway pays for the entire operation of the Ukraine federal spending liabilities, including pensions, government worker paychecks and everything normally within a govt budget.U.S. taxpayers are not only subsidizing the war with munitions, but we are also subsidizing the government operation and citizens of Ukraine. Within that spending there isMASSIVE corruption ongoing.

When Zelensky rejects (1) the terms of a “minerals deal,” (2) rejects U.N peacekeepers, (3) rejects the predicate for peace that Russia will retain part of Eastern Ukraine geography, and (4) rejects the offered security guarantees,he is also rejecting the idea that American taxpayers should be repaid for all their support.

Almost all of these rejections appear based onZelensky’s beliefthe U.K, France and European allies can replace any support lost by President Trump changing his approach toward Ukraine.Zelensky, who has not been elected, is developing a reputation for being so difficult, so demanding, so spoiled and temperamental that neither Vladimir Putin nor President Trump wants to deal with him.

Against this backdrop, the ceasefire deal is tenuous at best. Russia, who previously said they did not expect Zelensky to stand by any ceasefire proposal, continues to launch airstrikes against Ukraine as Zelensky continues toprove Vladimir Putin correctby rejecting U.S. proposed terms for a ceasefire – while claiming Russia is not abiding.

Western Ukrainians are influenced more by the propaganda from the European Union, Brussels, France and the U.K, than they are from NATO military.

The support for war amid the EU member statesis directly proportional to the severity of their leftist, socialist and WEF tendencies. The more anti-nationalist the nation state is, the more likely they support the Ukraine war.

As this larger dynamic continues, one can imaginePresidentTrump frustratingly accepting the need for Vladimir Putin to go even harderagainst Ukraine. The current interim terms include both Ukraine and Russia not targeting energy infrastructure; however, both nations appear to have -at least collaterally- violated that concept.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2025/03/30/zelenskyy-with-eu-support-continues-looking-for-any-excuse-to-derail-or-avoid-peace-talks-rejects-mineral-deal-demands-eu-ascension-and-security-guarantees/

If a targeted Russian strike takes down a municipal power pole, Zelensky calls it an attack on “energy infrastructure.” If a Russian missile hits the street and disrupts a natural gas line, Zelensky repeats the claim. As the narrative is pushed,if a Ukranian soldier is recharging his cell phoneat the time he is hit, energy producing infrastructure has been targeted. KEK

The bottom line is becoming very obvious. NATO countries and the western media who support them, demand President Trump must maintain support== for Ukraine, as Zelensky rejects any proposed terms from President Trump to end the conflict.

Russia keeps attacking. A belligerent VolodymyrZelensky, who will not accept any terms for negotiated peace (so far), continues playing the victim and saying Russia is violating terms needed for peace. NATO and the EU alliance continue telling Zelensky to keep fighting; Zelensky rejects anything that stops the fighting; NATO and the EU alliance continue demanding that President Trump support Zelensky. That’s the current cycle.

The CIA, as viewed through their spokespeople at the Washington Post, continue snarking at President Trumpfor not ending the war on Day #1; while the sameCIA keeps organizing the Ukraine/EU forcesto attack Russia, stimulating a continuation of the war they snark at Trump for not stopping.

Toward that end, the CIA carveouts in the EU arerefiningtheir North Americanstrategy to install an ideology favorableto their global interventionist efforts on our northern border, Canada. Prime Minister Mark Carney represents the interests of the World Economic Forum, the European Union and the traditional CIA control mechanisms.

BRUSSELS — In rejecting Russia’s demand to lift Western sanctions in exchange for a ceasefire in the Black Sea,European leaders are showingthey could still be players in Washington’s talks.

Europe is seeking to retain its leverage as President Donald Trump moves to strike a deal with Russia to stop the war in Ukraine. But some of Russia’s key demands— including sanctions relief and the end of military aid to Ukraine —require European buy-in.(more)

If the pretendingwere to end, I mean if the BIG UGLY really were to start to come into play,President Trump might announce a complete removal of U.S. sanctions against Russia. That would trigger simultaneous ‘splodey heads in DC and throughout Western media. However, I doubt the casual American political observer would understand the reason, and that makes it too politically challenging for President Trump to accomplish.

The retention of pretending is frustrating and obviously something President Trump is trying to eliminate.Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are doing a great job so far assisting that effort.

Waltz on the Bubble?

March 29, 2025 | Sundance1/2

There is a lot of speculation about the potential for President Trump to remove National Security Advisor Mike Waltz following the SignalGate fiasco. However, I doubt it will come soon.

Yes, CTH predicted in January that Waltz would be the first to get fired;but that prediction was due to the easily identified conflict between Waltz’s ideological mindset and his responsibilityto execute a President Trump national security policy that is seemingly counter to Waltz’s worldview.

President Trump is unlikely to dismiss Waltzuntil some time has passedand his removal doesn’t look like a win for the media narrative operation. Currently the SignalGate issue is diminishing. However, watch what assignments Waltz is given– that’s where we will likely see a shift in responsibility.

I suspect Mike Waltz will no longer have a critical role in the Ukraine-v-Russia conflict that President Trump is trying to bring to an end.If Waltz has lost effectiveness or the trust of President Trump, his role as National Security Advisor will be visibly lessened. The influence of JD Vance, Marco Rubio and to a smaller extent Steve Witkoff will be more prominent.

Politico outlines some background information they are spinning (as usual). However, even within leftist narrative engineering like Politico, they can sometimes get the arc of a storyline correct while being wrong in the details.

What makes the issue around Waltz more problematic is that President Trumprestructured the National Security Council and IC apparatus to give his National Security Advisor greater resources and tools[SEE HERE].

It is somewhat likely the participants on the Signal chat were using that convenient communication system to avoid the all-seeing eye of the IC apparatus.

WASHINGTON DC – The president agreed that Waltz had messed up, according to the people, but Trump ultimately decided not to fire him for one reason — for now:Like hell he’d give the liberal media and pearl-clutching Democrats a win.

“They don’t want to give the press a scalp,” said one of the people, a White House ally close with the team.

Despite simmering anger directed at the national security adviser from inside the White House, Waltz still has his job five days after The Atlantic first published its explosive story on the Signal chat. That doesn’t mean he’s safe yet, according to the two people.

In fact, the two allies have heard some administration officials arejust waiting for the right time to let him go, eager to be free of the newscycle before making changes.

[…] What’s more, lucky for Waltz, the fever pitch of the drama appears to have faded. And thetop headlines are about to quickly turnfrom “Signalgate” to Trump’s April 2 tariff deadline. And next week’s special elections are already casting into sharp focus the politically precarious position of the party.

Still, behind the scenes — and despite the White House’s public effort to cast the entire episode as a smear campaign by the media — there’sa sense that Waltz has lost the trust of his colleagues and flubbed his response. (read more)

The Nat Sec Advisor is a very powerful position, if used correctly. The absolute power of the President toward the intelligence community in the executive branch is carried by the Nat Sec Advisor (NSA). The NSA has the ability to reach into every silo and control every element of every decision therein.

The NSA organizesthe finding memos which authorize all covert intelligence operations globally and domestically. TheNSA can shut down bad things in the IC,cancel black-op operations, and essentially hold omnipotent power within the executive branch over every aspect of the 17 intelligence agencies who operate therein. The NSA can also determine what is, and what is not, a national security matter.

As a former House Intel Committee member,Mike Waltz comes from inside the IC machineryand there is a lot more to be concerned about than there is to be optimistic about.

Waltz has publicly said, engaged with, and acted upon, National Security Information (NSI) products, intelligence information, that is demonstrably false and fraudulent.

Perhaps Waltz has changed his disposition, but I see no immediate indications.

Like many others, heck, almost all others,Mike Waltz believes the IC system is inherently good, just under the control of bad actors. There are volumes of direct and specific evidence that this is not the correct perspective.

The IC system is corrupt by design, the mandates and interpreted policies that formulate the mission statements of the bureaucrats within it are the problem, not just the corrupt officials carrying out the mission.

It is almost impossible to understand the scale of the corruption within the ICfrom a position inside the silos under the control of the IC, the “six ways to Sunday” group. It is only when you exit those silos and engage with the world that is not under the control of the IC that you fully grasp just how fraudulent the constructs are.

After a major faux pas like that it would almost be impossible to get one’s confidence back especially in the White House pressure.

Lawlessness in Texas: RINO Texas House Speaker Caught Fabricating Quorum — Caught Red-Handed Counting 40 Absent Lawmakers as ‘Present’ Breaking State Law

by Jim Hᴏft Mar. 30, 20251/2

Under the feckless and corrupt leadership of RINO House Speaker Dustin Burrows, the Texas House of Representatives has descended into absolute lawlessness.

On Friday, the House chamber was scheduled to convene, but what unfolded was not democracy in action—it was a brazen sham orchestrated by the very person sworn to uphold the Constitution.

Speaker Burrows, aso-called “Republican,” was caught red-handed falsifying quorum by counting 40 absent lawmakers as “present” in a desperate attempt to ram through proceedings in violation of Texas law.

The Texas Constitution is clear:Two-thirds, or 100 members, must be present to establish a quorum in the 150-member chamber. And yet, Speaker Burrows, in full-blown swamp mode, attempted to manipulate the electronic voting system to fake quorum numbers, allowing business to continue unlawfully.

“There were only 63 that bothered to show up today,” said Rep. Brian Harrison (R–Midlothian), the conservative firebrand who exposed the fraud in real-time. Harrison demanded a verification vote—and the results were damning. Only 65 members could be verified. That’s not even close to the 100 required.

“House “leadership” tried to take votes anyway. I objected and demanded verification.” Harrison added.

Every member was notified over a week ago, on March 20, that Friday’s session was happening. Yet most couldn’t be bothered to show up, andBurrows tried to paper over their laziness with a lie.

According to Texas Scorecard, “With no quorum and no official proceedings, Speaker Burrows encouraged current members to come to the House chamber later in the day for an unofficial recognition of the former lawmakers.Capitol staffers were reportedly notified to sit in the chamber’s vacant seats to help make the room appear full.”

Imagine the audacity—lying to Texans’ faces while playing pretend politics in a chamber built to serve we the people.

The lawlessness didn’t stop there. On Saturday, the House reconvened for its first weekend session of the 89th Legislative Session, and Burrows’ clown show hit a new low.

The session lasted a measly 8.8 seconds—barely enough time to blink—before Burrows admitted, yet again, that no quorum existed.

Harrison’s staff counted just 28 members present out of 150. That’s right: a pitiful 18% of the House showed up for work. Harrison demanded a roll call vote under House Rule 5, Sec. 2, with strict enforcement to prevent proxy voting fraud, but Burrows ignored him flat-out.

“Lawless: Texas House breaks quorum two days in a row. Members are required to be here. I demanded a roll call vote this morning from Speaker Burrows, who IGNORED my request. Texans deserve transparency!” Harrison wrote.

According to the request from Harrison:

Mr. Speaker:

Given yesterday’s attempt to conduct House business with far short of a quorum of “two-thirds of the House” present as required by the Texas Constitution (Art. III, Sec. 10) and the requirement in the Texas House rules that “no member shall be absent from the sessions of the house without leave, and no member shall be excused on his or her own motion” (Rule 5, Sec. 3 (a)), I am requesting a roll call vote (under Rule 5, Sec. 2) with strict enforcement (Rule 5, Sec. 40) to prevent any member from voting for another member when the House convenes at 10am.

“LAWLESSNESS CAUGHT ON TAPE,” Harrison blasted on X, sharing another clip of Burrows brushing off his motion. “The Texas House is corrupt.”

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that the Texas House, under the leadership of newly elected Speaker Dustin Burrows (R-Lubbock), has not only appointed a Democrat, Joe Moody of El Paso, as Speaker Pro Tempore but has also handed over the leadership of half of the chamber’s newly created subcommittees to Democrats.

This decision comes despite a clear Republican majority in the House.

Texas is a solid red conservative state that went to Trump in 2024 by 14 points!

Thanks to the disgraceful support from 36 supposed Republicans and 49 Democrats, he managed to cling to his position. Now, he’s repaying his Democrat cronies by handing them significant roles in the legislative process.

Burrows faced a challenge from the true conservative, state Rep. David Cook, who promised to stop the Democrat overreach by preventing them from chairing House committees.

Read more:

BOTTOM LINE: RINO Speaker Dustin Burrows has been caught red-handed faking a quorum, ignoring House rules, and trampling the Texas Constitution. This isn’t leadership. It’s lawlessness. And it’s time for him to step down.

Texans deserve better. Texas deserves truth, transparency, and constitutional leadership.

Musk will speak in Wisconsin on Sunday to promote Schimel and give two “spokespeople” $1 million paychecks.

The Tesla founder is also giving $100 to voters who sign his petition against “activist judges.”

Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul had filed a lawsuit claiming that Musk’s prizes violate Wisconsin state election laws, which prohibit offering anything valuable to influence voter behavior.

Kaul quickly responded to Musk’s giveaway announcement: “The Wisconsin Department of Justice is committed to ensuring that elections in Wisconsin are safe, secure, free, and fair. We are aware of the offer recently posted by Elon Musk to award a million dollars to two people at an event in Wisconsin this weekend.”

Seemingly keeping in line with state law,Musk clarified that the checks were tied to a petition rather than voting directly.

“On Sunday night, I will give a talk in Wisconsin. To clarify a previous post, entrance is limited to those who have signed the petition in opposition to activist judges,” Musk said in his follow-up.

Musk has now said that the million-dollar checks are being paid to petition signers to act as “spokesmen” for the petition.

Kaul has said he will appeal the ruling. (What about Zuckerbucks Asshole?)
