Many will swear up and down they love liberty, they even think they do, but they hate it with a passion. What they want is a dictatorship that agrees with them. If they agree/like it, everyone should be "free" to do it. If they don't agree/like it, it should be illegal because they said so. Yay liberty.
Many worship perceived authority and call it liberty.
You complain about prison being unfair to the tax payer while the tax payer is forced to pay people who harass, abuse, rob, and/or kill tax payers.
