WATCH: Senate Hearing Goes Completely Off the Rails When Ted Cruz Triggers Amy Klobuchar After Calling Democrats “The Party of Murderers and R*pists”

 

Fireworks erupted Tuesday between Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) when the Texas Republican dared to tell the truth about Democrats’ scheme to sabotage President Trump’s agenda and called them “the party of murderers and r*pists,” sending a Senate hearing off the rails.

 

As Fox News reported, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on Wednesday to investigate the influx of nationwide injunctions against the Trump administration by activist district judges and to explore potential solutions to the crisis. This came one day after the House held its own hearing on the subject.

 

During the Senate hearing, an angry Cruz went off on the Democrats for their undemocratic efforts to overturn the results of the 2024 presidential election by forum shopping for the most radical district judges in America.

 

“Democrats today HATE Democracy,” Cruz said. “Democrats today are angry at the voters for re-electing Donald Trump…And they engaged in lawfare to stop democracy from operating.”

 

“Now that their efforts to indict President Trump and stop voters from re-electing him have failed, they are going out to seek radical judges to shut down policies.”

Cruz then had choice words for Democrats while continuing to go off on the blatantly unconstitutional nationwide injunctions these ‘judges’ have been using.

 

“U.S. law says there is no judicial review, but they (Democrats) found a judge that says ‘hey We, the Democrat Party, we are the party of illegal aliens,” he continued.” We are the party of murderers and r*pists and gang members in your communities. There’s a reason the Democrat party is at 26% approval nationwide because they put radical policies ahead of rule of law.”

 

“Nationwide injunctions are an abuse of power…It is incumbent upon this committee and this body to rein in the abuse of power from these unelected radical judges who are trying to overturn the election!”

 

Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) tried to regain order.

 

Klobuchar did not like hearing the brutal truth about her party’s scheme and what it really stood for. She responded by trying to gaslight the committee.

 

At first, she remained calm while doing so.

 

“We love democracy, and I think we should be having a civil debate on how if Donald Trump wants to make changes to the government, we should be doing it in a legal way, not how he’s doing it,” she lied.

 

Then Klobuchar flashed her infamous temper.

 

“And the only reason why there’s all these INJUNCTIONS is because (Trump’s) violating the Constitution,” she fumed. “Why would TRUMP-appointed judges…

 

“Why don’t you file them (lawsuits) in red districts?” Cruz shot back. “Why are Democrats seeking out left-wing loons…”

 

At this moment, Senator Ashley Moody (R-FL) intervened to try to stop the argument but to no avail.

“Senator Cruz,” she said.

 

“What did you just say?!” Klobuchar asked Cruz.

 

“Why don’t you file them in red districts? Why are the Democratic attorneys general seeking out left-wing…” Cruz began before Moody called a “point of order” and told Klobuchar to resume her time.

US stocks tumble in after-hours trading over Trump's global tariffs

 

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, which tracks the S&P 500, lost about 2% in after-hours trading. The Invesco QQQ ETF which monitors the Nasdaq-100 Index, shed 3.3%, and the trust that follows the Dow lost 1%.

 

Stocks fell in after-hours trading on Wednesday, after President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs on all imports into the U.S. in his attempt to rebalance global trade and "supercharge" the country's economy.

 

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 rose during regular trading hours prior to the tariffs, but have since fallen. and

 

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, which tracks the S&P 500, lost about 3.5% in after-hours trading, according to Investopedia. The Invesco QQQ ETF which monitors the Nasdaq-100 Index, shed over 4%. Futures tied to the Dow was down about 1,000 points, or 2.3% at time of publishing, per CNBC.

 

Shares in several major corporations also took a hit in after-hours trading, including shares in Nike and Apple, which were each down 7% at time of publishing. Tesla was also down 6%. Stocks in Gap and Five Below, which are big sellers of imported goods, were hit the hardest with shares tumbling 15% for Five Below and 8.5% for Gap.

GOP senators plan to bypass parliamentarian to extend Trump's 2017 tax cuts

 

The parliamentarian is a tool that is often used in the Senate by the majority party under a process called budget reconciliation which allows them to avert a filibuster.

 

Senate Republicans led by South Carolina's Lindsey Graham are reportedly set to bypass the Senate parliamentarian and her expected ruling this week on whether they can use a legislative process – known as budget reconciliation – to pass President Trump’s 2017 tax cuts.

 

The process can be used only if such an initiative doesn't increase the federal deficit. Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough has yet to decide, so the GOP is forging ahead, in an apparent effort not to appear to be overruling her.

 

Graham, as Senate Budget Committee chairman, has determined, based on "scoring" the budget resolution, which includes Trump's tax extensions, that it does increase the deficit.

 

“We think the law is very clear, and ultimately the budget committee chairman makes that determination,” Senate Republican leader John Thune said Tuesday.

 

The South Dakota lawmaker also argued Graham has the authority to decide whether extending the tax cuts would add to the deficit and need for them to be offset by big spending cuts or revenue-raising proposals, according to The Hill newspaper.

 

Still, Senate Republicans' biggest procedural concern is whether they can project their impact on future deficits by scoring them as “current policy.”

 

If extending the 2017 cuts is found to be an extension of current policy, then they won’t be counted as officially adding to future deficits, which would allow Republicans to extend the tax cuts permanently, also according to The Hill.

 

Democrats are planning to request that the parliamentarian rule that the GOP must use current law baseline to estimate the cost of the tax cuts.

 

"Republicans are so hell-bent on giving these tax breaks to the billionaires that they’re willing to break any rules, norms and things they promised they wouldn’t do,” Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer said.

Treasury Department sanctions alleged network of people helping secure weapons for Houthis

 

The network has procured tens of millions of dollars’ worth of commodities from Russia, including weapons, and stolen Ukrainian grain. The goods are then shipped to Yemen, which is under Houthi control.

 

The Treasury Department on Wednesday announced new sanctions on an alleged network of financial facilitators, procurement operatives, and companies that are helping to secure weapons for Houthi terrorists.

 

The network has allegedly helped the Iranian-backed Houthi official Sa’id al-Jamal. It has procured tens of millions of dollars’ worth of commodities from Russia, including weapons and stolen Ukrainian grain. The goods are then shipped to the Houthis in Yemen.

 

“The Houthis remain reliant on Sa’id al-Jamal and his network to procure critical goods to supply the group’s terrorist war machine,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement. “Today’s action underscores our commitment to degrading the Houthis’ ability to threaten the region through their destabilizing activities.”

 

The Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has also identified at least eight digital asset wallets that are used by the Houthis to transfer money associated with the network and its activities around.

 

“The United States is committed to eliminating the Iran-backed Houthis’ capabilities and resources to conduct attacks on our servicemembers and naval assets, while ending their ability to threaten the security of the United States and our partners,” State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said in a statement.

 

The U.S. has designated the Houthis, which has disrupted shipping in the Red Sea amid the Israel-Hamas conflict, as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Massachusetts Democrat Elizabeth Warren accused of exploiting California wildfire victims

 

Conservative critics are slamming Sen. Elizabeth Warren for setting up a fundraiser for communities affected by the devastating California wildfires on a platform affiliated with the Democratic Party.

 

Warren posted a link to her fundraising page on her social media accounts on Saturday, asking her followers to “split a donation between the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and United Way of Greater Los Angeles.”

 

The Democratic senator added: “100% of your donation will go directly to these organizations.”

 

The link directs users to a page on ActBlue, a platform viewed as a major source for Democratic fundraising. Republican attorneys general and critics have long pressed for probes of the platform.

 

A “Warren For Senate” logo appears at the top of the page.

 

Warren’s X post received a community note – a tool that allows platform users to “add context to potentially misleading posts” – that states: “This is not a link to charity. It is a link to a Democrat fundraising platform. They take 3.95% of all transactions. You can donate directly to these charities.”

 

The note included links to the Los Angeles County Fire Department Foundation and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.

 

Act Blue confirmed the 3.95% processing fee, but said the money it generated paid for processing contributions. “No funds from AB Charities processing fees go to candidates.”

 

Conservative critics in Massachusetts joined thousands of others in accusing Warren of exploiting the wildfires for her own gain.

 

Cecilia Calabrese, the director of Mass For Trump in Region 3, posted that Warren’s activity could be something that the Federal Elections Commission “may want to investigate.

 

“Just when I think ‘my’ Senator can’t sink any lower she tries to loot well-meaning donors that want to help California fire victims,” Calabrese posted on X. “ActBlue is a Democrat fundraiser platform only. Shame on you, Senator, for pushing this scam!”

 

ActBlue’s pricing details indicate that the platform charges “a flat rate of 3.95% on each donation you receive to cover the processing cost.”

 

“Other than that, everything’s on us,” the pricing page states. “You’ll have access to all the ActBlue tools as well as customer service to help your team and your donors at no extra cost. No contracts, no surprises, no hidden fees. You can do the math.”

 

Chester Tam, a Massachusetts Republican National Convention delegate and vice chairman of operations and digital media for Trump in Massachusetts also took to social media, advising people to be wary of donating through Warren’s fundraiser.

 

“Donating through the Warren for Senate campaign site is the last thing you should do if you want to support efforts for the California fires,” he posted on X. “How much of that money do you think will end up benefitting Warren’s campaign? Once again Democrats exploit a disaster for their own gain.”

 

Over the past few months, Republican attorneys general have slammed ActBlue, demanding probes into the platform while accusing it of potentially improper activity, including failing to vet donations properly, according to reports.

 

The New York Post reported in October that the Treasury Department “found records of hundreds of transactions linked to Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue that have been flagged by banks as potentially suspicious, according to a congressional memo” the newspaper obtained.

 

In December, 142 consultants, campaign staff, nonprofit staff, technology vendors, donor organizers, donors, and academics from across the country wrote a joint letter to ActBlue executive leadership, demanding the company do a “better job” protecting Democratic contributors, news site Campaigns and Elections reported.

 

“ActBlue is a safe and secure platform trusted for decades by valued donors and partners,” a platform spokesperson told the site, “and we are continuously adapting our platform as technology, fundraising, and donor and campaign needs change.”

 

One X user responded to Warren’s call for donations, stating: “Do not use ActBlue to donate. Donate to local, grassroots that are on the ground and getting supplies to victims in real time.”

US adding second aircraft carrier in Middle East

 

The United States is increasing the number of aircraft carriers deployed in the Middle East to two, keeping one that is already there and sending another from the Indo-Pacific, the Pentagon said Tuesday.

 

The announcement comes as US forces hammer Yemen's Huthi rebels with near-daily air strikes in a campaign aimed at ending the threat they pose to civilian shipping and military vessels in the region.

 

The Carl Vinson will join the Harry S. Truman in the Middle East "to continue promoting regional stability, deter aggression, and protect the free flow of commerce in the region," Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement.

 

"To complement the CENTCOM maritime posture, the secretary also ordered the deployment of additional squadrons and other air assets that will further reinforce our defensive air-support capabilities," Parnell said, referring to the US military command responsible for the region.

 

"The United States and its partners remain committed to regional security in the CENTCOM (area of responsibility) and are prepared to respond to any state or non-state actor seeking to broaden or escalate conflict in the region," he added.

 

The Huthis began targeting shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden after the start of the Gaza war in 2023, claiming solidarity with Palestinians.

 

Huthi attacks have prevented ships from passing through the Suez Canal, a vital route that normally carries about 12 percent of world shipping traffic. Ongoing attacks are forcing many companies into a costly detour around the tip of southern Africa.

 

A day before the carrier announcement, US President Donald Trump vowed that strikes on Yemen's Huthis would continue until they are no longer a threat to shipping.

 

"The choice for the Huthis is clear: Stop shooting at US ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Huthis and their sponsors in Iran," Trump said on his Truth Social platform.

 

Trump added that the Huthis had been "decimated" by "relentless" strikes since March 15, saying that US forces "hit them every day and night – Harder and harder."

 

On Wednesday, the Huthis accused the United States of killing four people in fresh air strikes on Hodeida province.

 

The US president has also ramped up rhetoric towards Tehran, threatening that "there will be bombing" if Iran does not reach a deal on its nuclear program.

 

Satellite images seen by AFP showed that Washington had between March 26 and Wednesday doubled the number of B-2 bombers at a US-UK military base in the Indian Ocean, from three to six.

 

The photos from imaging company Planet Labs PBC also showed the presence of six Stratotanker in-flight refuelling aircraft at the Diego Garcia base, within range of Iran.

 

Trump's threats come as his administration battles a scandal over the accidental leak of a secret group chat by senior security officials on the Yemen strikes.

Atmospheric river to trigger central US flooding that may become life-threatening, historic

 

Up to 4 month’s worth of rain may fall in less than a week across part of the central United States, threatening major flooding and endangering lives and property.

 

A firehose of moisture is forecast to produce repeating thunderstorms with torrential downpours over the middle of the United States through much of this weekend. More than a foot of rain may pour down from portions of Arkansas to Kentucky and Ohio, likely triggering rapid, major and historic flooding, AccuWeather meteorologists warn.

 

More than 46 million people will be affected by rounds of intense rainfall over the central U.S. Of this, at least 13 million will be within a high- to extreme-flood risk zone. Within these higher-risk areas, there is the potential for catastrophic flooding in some communities.

 

Heavy rain and subsequent flooding problems will start to ramp up Wednesday night and escalate daily from there.

 

Except for a stretch of days in February, storm systems have moved steadily along. However, that slow-moving storm in February unleashed many inches of rain on portions of Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana and Ohio and resulted in major flooding and significant loss of life. The upcoming rainfall could be more than double that from February and poses that much more of a threat to lives and property.

 

From midweek on, the downpours' normal west-to-east or northwest-to-southeast path will be blocked by a building zone of high pressure over the Southeast states that will evolve into a heat dome.

 

The setup will cause a conveyor belt of moisture to form Wednesday night and continue into Saturday night, bringing many hours of heavy rain over multiple days from the Ozarks in Arkansas to the middle portion of the Mississippi Valley to much of the Ohio Valley.

 

"That moisture plume, known as an atmospheric river, will be tropical in nature and originate from the Caribbean," AccuWeather Senior Storm Warning Meteorologist William Clark said, "Tropical moisture raises the risk of excessive rainfall."

Adam Weishaupt (1748–1830) became professor of Canon Law and practical philosophy at the University of Ingolstadt in 1773.

He was the only non-clerical professor at an institution run by Jesuits,whose order Pope Clement XIV had dissolved in 1773. The Jesuits of Ingolstadt, however, still retained the purse strings and some power at the University, which they continued to regard as their own.

 

Christians of good character were actively sought, withJews and pagans specifically excluded,along with women, monks, and members of other secret societies. Favoured candidates were rich, docile, willing to learn, and aged 18–30.[13][14]

 

Transition

Having, with difficulty, dissuaded some of his members from joining the Freemasons, Weishaupt decided to join the older order to acquire material to expand his own ritual. He was admitted to lodge "Prudence" of the Rite of Strict Observance early in February 1777. His progress through the three degrees of "blue lodge" masonry taught him nothing of the higher degrees he sought to exploit, but in the following year a priest called Abbé Marotti informed Zwack that these inner secrets rested on knowledge of the older religion and the primitive church. Zwack persuaded Weishaupt that their own order should enter into friendly relations with Freemasonry, and obtain the dispensation to set up their own lodge. At this stage (December 1778), the addition of the first three degrees of Freemasonry was seen as a secondary project.[15]

With little difficulty, a warrant was obtained from the Grand Lodge of Prussia called the Royal York for Friendship, and the new lodge was called Theodore of the Good Council, with the intention of flattering Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria. It was founded in Munich on 21 March 1779, and quickly packed with Illuminati. The first master, a man called Radl, was persuaded to return home to Baden, and by July Weishaupt's order ran the lodge.[15]

The next step involved independence from their Grand Lodge. By establishing masonic relations with the Union lodge in Frankfurt, affiliated to the Premier Grand Lodge of England, lodge Theodore became independently recognised, and able to declare its independence. As a new mother lodge, it could now spawn lodges of its own. The recruiting drive amongst the Frankfurt masons also obtained the allegiance of Adolph Freiherr Knigge.[15]

 

“Provided with material by Weishaupt, Knigge now produced pamphlets outlining the activities of the outlawed Jesuits, purporting to show how they continued to thrive and recruit, especially in Bavaria. Meanwhile, Knigge's inability to give his recruits any satisfactory response to questions regarding the higher grades was making his position untenable, and he wrote to Weishaupt to this effect. In January 1781, faced with the prospect of losing Knigge and his masonic recruits, Weishaupt finally confessed that his superiors and the supposed antiquity of the order were fictions, and the higher degrees had yet to be written.[16] “
