The Peel Regional Police Association (PRPA) has formally endorsed Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre and local candidate Sue McFadden in the upcoming federal election, citing their strong support for law enforcement and public safety initiatives.

In a statement, PRPA President Adrian Woolley praised the Conservative team’s commitment to giving police officers the tools and legislative backing they need to do their jobs effectively.

“Our police officers put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities, uphold the law, and ensure the safety of all Ontarians,” Woolley said.

The association emphasized the need for tougher laws to hold criminals accountable and reduce the number of repeat offenders officers deal with.

According to the release, Poilievre has pledged to strengthen laws in ways that align with the needs of front-line officers, allowing them to better protect communities without what the PRPA calls “unnecessary political interference or policy constraints.”

McFadden, a longtime public servant and current Conservative candidate, was also highlighted as a strong advocate for local police and community safety in the Peel Region.

The endorsement comes as public safety remains a key issue for many voters. The PRPA, representing officers across one of Ontario’s busiest regions, said the Conservative platform reflects a practical approach to fighting crime and maintaining secure neighborhoods.
