Why are journalists so retarded when it comes to writing about legal issues?

The SCOTUS Opinion concludes that the District Court of D.C. is the improper venue for the challenges, hence the D.C. Court lacks jurisdiction. The detainees must bring suit in Habeas Corpus, in Texas or wherever they are detained, instead of an APA challenge in the D.C. Court.

It didn't really touch the merits of Trump's action or the Alien Enemies Act. It was merely a procedural issue.
