Anon, I'm speechless. I had no idea Barrick was involved in all this.
Mark Bristow is probably the most talented, capable CEO who ever ran a company.
What they do overseas is incredible.
They take over a mining operation, make a deal with the national and local govt bodies that benefits everyone. They build hospitals, schools, rails, internet, everything necessary for a well-run community. They also educate the locals in everything from mining to running the business.
And now you've exposed them in this way. I will be studying this. Barrick is worth a ton. They have the entire globe mapped out, as far as where all the areas are that can be mined.
And they have some real deals with the Saudis, Pakis and many in Africa.
Thanks for this. I'm shocked and disappointed.
A close friend who is a heavy investor has raved about these folks for years.
So, admittedly, I've only heard the good stuff.

I've been fascinated by the whole geoeconomic world the past few years, and learning about mining and metals has been interesting. It is the way to globalism a la Rollerball - thru multi-national corps.
I can see now why Bristow likes Africa.
