The Coast Guard, while conducting shore patrol, escorted sailing vessel Phoenix on its approach into Hawaii, May 24, 2025.
Oliver Widger, 29-year-old owner and operator of thePhoenix, had just completed a 25-day transpacific voyage from Oregon to Hawaii with his cat, also namedPhoenix.
