Trump could exit Ukraine talks – NYT

The US president, however, has signaled he has no plans to ramp up sanctions against Moscow, the newspaper claims

US President Donald Trump is considering a complete withdrawal from the Ukraine peace process due to a lack of progress, the New York Times reported on Monday, citing sources. The US leader, however, is reportedly reluctant to tighten sanctions against Russia.

Trump appeared to express the sentiment following a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week as he spoke with several European leaders, the NYT reported.

During the conversation, Trump shared his impression that“Putin thought he was winning the war and would press his advantage,”according to officials briefed on the matter. They also reportedly indicated that Trump “=made it clear he had no intention on putting pressure, much less harsh economic sanctions, on Russia.”

He said, essentially, ‘I’m out,’” an NYT source claimed. At the same time, the paper would not say whether Trump, who has been skeptical ofUS aid to Ukraine and has yet to approve new assistance packages, might be willing to continue military support for Kiev.

Trump, who has described the Ukraine conflict as “Europe’s war,”was shocked by Moscow’s unwillingness to change its key terms of resolving the crisis, according to the NYT. Russia has insisted that any sustainable peace must include guarantees of Ukraine’s neutrality, its demilitarization, denazification, and recognition of the new territorial reality on the ground.

A separate Wall Street Journal report also claimed that Trump is increasingly frustrated with the peace processand may abandon it entirely if current efforts fail. The paper suggested that the US leader is eyeing new sanctions against Russia, although no final decision has been made.

The reports come after Trump claimed that Putin “has gone absolutely CRAZY,” rebuking Moscow for firing “missiles and drones… into cities in Ukraine for no reason whatsoever.”

Moscow said its recent strikes targeting Ukrainian military-related facilities were retaliationfor a significant increase in Kiev’s drone raids into Russia. Russian officials reported near-daily interceptions of over 100 Ukrainian UAVs, suggesting that the strikes are meant to derail the peace process.

Responding to Trump’s remarks, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskovnoted that the start of the negotiation process is a “very important moment which is fraught with emotional overload” on all sides. He also stressed that Putin makes decisions“required for the security of our country,” while praising the efforts of the Trump administration to broker an end to the conflict.

(Anything written by NYTs is always suspect, so we will see, this doesn’t even sound like things Trump would say. Trump definitely knows the EU will keep this war going forever. And Trump doesn’t give up easy.)

US troop withdrawal from Europe expected in ‘coming months’ – media

Washington has other global priorities including countering China, Handelsblatt has reported

The US is expected to announce a reduction in its military presence in Europe in the “coming months,” the German daily Handelsblatt has reported, citing “high-ranking European diplomats.” The scale of the pullout is still unclear, but NATO is reportedly making preparations, according to the paper.

The pullout could be linked to the new US national defense strategy, according to EU sources contacted by the newspaper. The document is expected to be ready by the end of summer, the report said.Washington needs to focus its efforts on countering China as it is not prepared for a potential confrontation with Beijing, according to US Undersecretary of Defense Elbridge Colby, who was approached by Handelsblatt.

Rumors about a potential pullout have been circulating in the media ever since NBC News reported in April that the US was considering withdrawing up to 10,000 troops from Eastern Europe. US President Donald Trump later confirmed that he is considering a partial withdrawal but did not elaborate on either its scale or timetable.

In mid-May, the US ambassador to NATO,Matthew Whitaker, said Washington plans to start talks about a potential pulloutwith other NATO members following the bloc’s summit in June. “We are not going to have any more patience for foot dragging in this situation,” he said at the time, while admitting that “nothing has been determined” yet.

German Chancellor FriedrichMerz publicly denied speculation about a US pulloutduring a visit to Lithuania this week. “We currently have no indication that the United States of America will withdraw troops from Europe,” he told journalists at a joint press conference with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda in Vilnius.

The cost of replacing the US equipmentand personnel following a withdrawalcould amount to around $1 trillion over 25 years, Politico reported earlier in May, citing a report by the International Institute for Strategic Studies.

As of early2025, there were nearly 84,000 US troops stationed in Europe, with the largest concentrations in Germany and Poland, and smaller deployments in Romania, Estonia, and Lithuania, according to the US European Command.

(The EU is delusional, Merz doesn’t know anything, but it’s been made clear for years, Trump is not satisfied because NATO countries intentionally do not fund their 2% for NATO. They still do not think Trump will do it. One of the reasons EU to continue the Ukraine conflict is to keep the U.S. involved in all their problems, and them getting our protection for the wars they cause.)

Targeting Russian trade partners can help rebuild US reputation –the Faggot senator says

Sanctions helping Ukraine would restore America’s global standing, Lindsey Graham has claimed (what an asshole)

US Senator Lindsey Graham has claimed that his plan to hit Russian trade partners with 500% tariffs would help President Donald Trump push Moscow towards a peace deal with Ukraine. At the same time, this would rebuild America’s reputation after the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan under Joe Biden, Graham said.

Graham, a longtime foreign policy hawk and Trump ally, is backing legislation that would impose a 500% tariff on countries that buy Russian energy, uranium, and other raw materials – measures aimed chiefly at India and China.

The senator linked the situation to Afghanistan in an op-ed published by the Wall Street Journal on Monday, described as “a message” to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“America’s shameful withdrawal from Afghanistan didn’t merely damage our reputation; it set in motion aggression across the world,” the South Carolina Republican wrote. “If the US continues to lead decisively on bringing the Russia-Ukraine war to an end, that could change. Mr. Trump can restore our reputation – and end the bloodbath.” (Fuck You Graham you traitor and money grubber.)

Biden’s handling of the 2021 exit from Afghanistan, which included the swift collapse of American-trained local forces and the Taliban’s return to power in Kabul, has remained a frequent line of attack from Republicans. Critics have warned that Trump could make a similar blunder as he seeks to mediate an agreement between Moscow and Kiev. The president has claimed that the Ukraine conflict would not have broken out had he been in office instead of Biden.

Graham’s commentary responded to a recent editorial from the Wall Street Journal’s board, which urged Trump not to distance himself from the conflict.

”It’s pure fantasy to imagine that Mr. Trump can ‘walk away’ and let Mr. Putin win without damaging consequences,” the newspaper wrote, accusing Trump of “acting like the war is someone else’s problem.”

Kiev and its European backers have called for additional sanctions after Moscow rejected a Ukrainian demand for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire – an idea viewed in Russia as an attempt by Kiev to gain unilateral military advantage. Russian officials are currently working on a peace framework that could set the stage for an eventual halt in fighting.

(Graham is responsible with collaborating with Bidan and Admin to start this war. The Trump Admin needs to find the bank accounts with stolen money given to Ukraine.)

Macron explains slap from wife

The French president has said the viral clip of Brigitte pushing his face was “just joking around”

French President Emmanuel Macron has downplayed a viral video showing his wife Brigitte pushing his face as they disembarked from a plane, describing the moment as the two of them just having fun.

The footage, captured on Sunday in Hanoi, Vietnam, shows the aircraft door opening to reveal Macron speaking to someone off camera. Moments later, two arms in red sleeves reach out and push his face, covering his mouth and jaw. He steps back before regaining his balance, then smiles and waves after noticing the cameras. Brigitte, wearing a red jacket, soon appears beside him.Macron offers his arm, which she declines, and they walk down the stairs together.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Macron said he was “surprised” by the wave of speculation about the incident.

“There’s a videoshowing me and my wife bickering and joking, and somehow that becomes a sort of geo-planetary catastrophe, with people even coming up with theories to explain it,” he said.

He also referenced two other recent viral clips. “A lot of lunatics are spending their days interpreting all these videos,” Macron said.

One widely shared video, filmed during a visit to Ukraine, shows Macron on a train with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The French president appears to briefly conceal a small object, prompting online speculation about drug use. The Elysee Palace called the rumors baseless.

Another clip from the European Political Community summit in Albania just two weeks ago showed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gripping Macron’s finger while seated, as Macron stood beside him – a gesture some media outlets interpreted as a subtle power play.

Macron acknowledged all three videos were real but dismissed the online narratives around them.

Initially, the Elysee declined to comment on the Hanoi incident, later describing it as a “moment of togetherness.” A source told BFM TV the couple had simply been bickering, nothing more.

The Macrons have been married since 2007. The pair met when he was a student at the Lycée la Providence in Amiens, where she was a teacher. Brigitte is 24 years older than her husband. The couple has faced persistent speculation over her gender – claims they have repeatedly denied and taken legal action against.

Ukraine will have to pay for new Patriots – WaPo

Washington simply cannot keep up with Kiev’s demands for aid defenses, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has recently stressed

Officials in Kiev reportedly believe the administration of US President Donald Trump would be willing to sell Ukraine Patriot air defense systems, according to the Washington Post.

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has increasingly implored Washington to provide more Patriot missiles and launcher units in recent months, citing the Ukrainian army's dwindling stockpiles.

Kiev believes that the current US administration “will not give it away for free”but will be ready to sell the billion dollar air defense system and ammunition for it, the WaPo wrote on Monday, citing a senior Ukrainian official.

“They think like business people. If I give you something, you have to give me something in return,” the outlet cited the official as saying.

Kiev has mostly requested the air defense systems and missiles as military aid from the Trump administration, “which, frankly, we don't have,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio told lawmakers in a Senate meeting last week.

fool’ US-made Patriots – Ukrainian military

Washington is insteadpushing for NATO allies to donate the US-made armaments from their own stockpiles, but “none of these countries want to give up their Patriot systems either,” he said. “We can't make them fast enough.”

Trump has expressed growing impatience with the pace of peace talks around the ongoing conflict.Zelensky’s rhetoric is doing Ukraine “no favors,” he wrote on Truth Social on Monday, adding that “everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don’t like it, and it better stop.”

He also condemned Russia’s increased long-range strikes on Ukraine, claiming the attacks are happening “for no reason whatsoever.”

Russian forces have intensified large-scale strikes against drone and missile production facilities in Ukraine last week, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has confirmed. The attacks were a retaliation for Ukraine’s escalating strikes on Russian civilian infrastructure, and solely targeted Ukrainian military sites, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the press on Monday.

Russian air defenses have intercepted nearly 1,000 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs over the country in the past week, Defense Ministry reports say.

Moscow was ‘forced’ to launch military operation against Kiev – Putin

The conflict stems from the Western-backed coup in Ukraine, the Russian president has said

Russia was left with no choice but to launch its military operation in Ukraine because of the continued persecution of the people of Donbass by Kiev following the 2014 Western-backed Euromaidan coup, President Vladimir Putin has said.

During a meeting with a group of businessmen in the Kremlin on Monday,Putin said Moscow could not ignore the plight of Russian-speakers in the neighboring country. He reiterated Russia’s position that the conflict stems from the turbulent events in Kiev in early 2014, when initially peaceful protests spiraled into riots and clashes with police, which led to the ouster of the democratically elected president, Viktor Yanukovich. The anti-Yanukovich forces included ultranationalist groups such as Right Sector and Svoboda.

“You need to understand thatwe weren’t the ones who orchestrated the coup in Ukraine,”Putin said. “[The West] has always told us that there should be democracy and elections…but they carried out a coup – a bloody one, in fact – as if it were normal. They later went on to suppress the Donbass, killing people with helicopters and jets.”

“They practically forced us into doing what we’re doing today, and now they’re trying to blame us for it,” he said.

The coup in Kiev sparked counterprotests and more riots, including a deadly clash in Odessa in May 2014, where 48 people were killed. The largely Russian-speaking regions of Donetsk and Lugansk rejected the Euromaidan coup and voted for independence from Ukraine. The new government in Kiev responded bysending troops in the spring of 2014 and repeatedly shelling and bombing Donetsk and other Donbass cities.

Ukraine later refused to implement the UN-backed 2014-15 Minsk accords, which would have granted autonomy to Donetsk and Lugansk. EU officials, including former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, acknowledged later that Kiev used the pause in the fighting to rebuild its army and economy. Ukraine also adopted several laws since 2014 aimed at restricting the use of Russian in the public sphere.

Putin cited Ukraine’s failure to respect the Minsk accords and the attacks on the rights of Russian-speakersas “the root causes” of the conflict, describing Kiev’s actions as “genocide.”

He has since demanded that Ukraine drop its plans to join NATO in favor of becoming a permanently neutral state, and recognize Crimea and four other former Ukrainian regions as part of Russia.

Russian missiles ‘fool’ US-made Patriots – Ukrainian military

Iskanders use decoys and maneuvering to confound air defenses, Kiev’s Air Force spokesman has admitted

US-designed Patriot air defense systems are struggling to keep pace with Russia’s missile technology, particularly the Iskander missiles,Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Igor Ignat admitted on Monday.

Kiev has long praised the MIM-104 Patriot as a vital part of its arsenal following the deployment of the first battery in April 2023.But the American system is showing critical limitations in the face of Russia’s weaponry, Ignat told Le Monde in an interview.

“The Iskander missiles perform evasive maneuvers in the final phase, thwarting the Patriot’s trajectory calculations,” he said. “In addition, the Iskander can drop decoys capable of fooling Patriot missiles.”

While Ukrainian officials previously lauded the Patriot system for its ability to intercept Russian hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, Moscow has questioned such claims.Russian officials also argue thatKiev often overstates the number of missiles it downs compared to the number actually launched.

As of May,Ukraine is reported to have six active Patriot systems, primarily donated by the US and Germany, with additional components provided by the Netherlands and Romania.

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has called the Patriot system the only viable defense against Russian strikes, and has stated an aim to acquire a total of 25 units. He recently proposed that Kiev’s European backers fund the purchase of an additional ten systems for Ukraine at a cost of $15 billion. However, the administration of US President Donald Trump has dismissed the proposal as unrealistic.

Ukraine also faces dwindling supplies of interceptor missiles for its Western-donated platforms, even as Russian forces adapt their drone tactics to circumvent existing countermeasures.

Ukrainian forces have escalated their own drone offensives against Russia, moving from overnight attacks to continuous launches throughout the day.The shift comes amid increased pressure from Washington for continued direct peace negotiations. On Sunday, Trump expressed frustration with the lack of progress, blaming both Moscow and Kiev.

Deputy Director Dan Bongino States He and Kash Patel will Begin FBI Reform “by Next Week”

May 26, 2025 | Sundance |

…. Thank you for your patience. Apparently, public backlash from the Kash Patel and Dan Bongino interview with Maria Bartiromohas penetrated the membrane around them.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announces the FBI “reform teams” will likely be in place next week. From there, they will beginreviewing subjects of interest to the American people, including: (1) the J6 pipe bomber, (2) the White House cocaine user, and (3) the Dobbs leaker.

FBI DIRECTOR DAN BONGINO (via X): – […] The Director and I will have most of our incoming reform teams in place by next week. The hiring process can take a little bit of time, but we are approaching that finish line. This will help us both in doubling down on our reform agenda.

Shortly after swearing in, the Director and I evaluated a number of cases of potential public corruption that, understandably, have garnered public interest. We made the decision to either re-open, or push additional resources and investigative attention, to these cases. These cases are the DC pipe bombing investigation, the cocaine discovery at the prior administration’s White House, and the leak of the Supreme Court Dobbs case.I receive requested briefings on these cases weekly and we are making progress. If you have any investigative tips on these matters that may assist us then please contact the FBI.

The Director and I have done only one media interview together. We decided early on to limit our media footprint overall in order to keep the attention on the work being done. There are both positives and negatives to this approach. We have chosen to communicate, in writing, on this platform to fill some of the inevitable information vacuums. I try to read as much of your feedback as possible, but the workday is busy, and my office is a SCIF with limited phone access. In response to feedback, both positive and negative, from our interview last week we will be releasing more information which will further clarify answers to some of the questions asked in the interview. Germany’s New Leftist Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, Gives Ukraine Permission to Launch Long-range Taurus Cruise Missiles Deep into Russia

May 26, 2025 | Sundance1/2

The escalation continues andunfortunately there are few indications the people around President Donald Trump are advising caution.

The U.K, German, French, EU, NATO and ‘western’intelligence control agents are pushing for expanded conflict with Russia. The latest development comes as the new leftist German Chancellor Friedrich Merz gives the greenlight for Ukraine to launch long-range Taurus cruise missiles directly into Russia.

(Bloomberg) — German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Ukraine has been given permission to use weapons supplied by its allies to launch strikes deep inside Russia.

“There are absolutely no range limits anymore for weapons delivered to Ukraine, not from Britain, the French or from us — also not from the Americans,” Merz said at a conference in Berlin on Monday. “That means Ukraine can defend itself by attacking military positions also in Russia.

[…] Ukraine’s Western allies are trying to intensify pressure on the Kremlin after Moscow launched its biggest drone barrage against Ukraine since the full-scale invasion over three years ago. European leaders have condemned what they call Russia’s foot-dragging as efforts to lock in a ceasefire have gone nowhere.

[…] Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that, if confirmed,a decision to allow long-range strikes could undermine efforts toward reaching a political settlement, according to Interfax. He called such a decision “dangerous.” (read more)

The proxy war between the U.S/NATO and Russia is now entering its fourth year.

In some ways theseefforts by the ‘coalition of the nervously willing’ only solidifythe previous position of Russian President Vladimir Putin that any western movetoward a diplomatic handshake was generally duplicitous and not to be trusted. Hence, Putin has instructed the armed forces of the Russian Federation to continue building out an expanded ‘buffer zone’ between Russian held territory and NATO within Ukraine.

Factually, as previously admitted and outlined by reporting from the New York Times, it is U.S. military and intelligence assets in the region who are leading the attacks from bases in Germany and the front lines within Ukraine.

The New York Times published two articles {HERE and HERE} revealing: 1) that U.S. military boots are on the ground in Ukraine. (2) The U.S. military is actively involved in the ongoing targeting of strikes into Russia. (3)The CIA is operating in Ukraine and conducting targeted strikes into the Russian Federation mainland.

The sourcing for the New York Times outline of American leadership against Russian Federation troopswas transparently generated by U.S. military and intelligence leaks intended to stop any negotiations between President Trump and President Putin. Since the release of those articles two months ago, they have succeeded in exactly that.

President Trump may not want to engage in the conflict with Russia, but the NATO alliance is not willing to allow him any independent retreat. The recent Romanian election outcome solidified their stranglehold on the geopolitical interests at stake.

Romania is currently building the largest NATO base in Europe, and Vladimir Putin can see the intention therein with very clear eyes. Unfortunately, American students are no longer taught geography or history in school, because one simple look at a map tells us the motives and intents.

Previously Germany offered to send military forces through Poland to march into Ukraine and confront the Russians.

The last time Germany marched through Poland to confront Russia;things did not exactly end well for the rest of the world.

History rhymes!

As we have outlined for several years, including our own research by driving through Ukraine, the CIA has been operating on the ground in Ukraine from the outset of the conflict. Over time the CIA took over most of the strategic operations, and as it currently stands the United StatesCIA is organizing the majority of the Ukraine war against Russia.

This is where you need to understand how CIA authorization takes place.

In order for the CIA to operate in Ukraine,Joe Biden had to sign a “presidential finding memo” authorizing the CIA to conduct covert operations. This New York Times article is describing the outcome of those “finding memoranda.”

2/2

Which brings me to this Tweet I sent in response to the NYT article:

Dear President Trump, if this NYT article is accurate (it is),there has to be a “Presidential Finding Memo” authorizing the CIA to coordinate attacks into Russia.

You might want to have CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and DNI Tulsi Gabbard pull it out of the authorization library for your review, prior to the next call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Also, to avoid embarrassment, as your team are likely aware – and possibly willing to admit, that “finding memo” was also briefed to the former Gang of Eight in congress. Which meansSecretary of State Marco Rubioas vice-chair of the SSCI and Go8 member, already knew of this CIA operation, authorizing their involvement in targeting Russian Federation territory.

You might want to ask Secretary Rubio about that, and organize a way to discuss it, prior to Rubio coming face to face with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov at the next meeting.

Warmest possible regards, and deepest appreciation for your ongoing “ceasefire” efforts.

Good luck

The motive is clear for the New York Times to outline how the CIA is operating inside Ukraine to target the Russian Federation.

The operatives who leak to the NYT want distance between Trump and Putin. This admission of CIA involvement puts Trump in an awkward place.

The awkwardness expands, when you understand how the CIA is authorized to conduct these operations. The President, Biden, signed a “finding memo,” authorizing the CIA to conduct missile strikes into the Russian Federation.

Senator Marco Rubio as SSCI vice-chair and a Gang of Eight member, was ‘read in’ to that CIA authorization.

Senator Rubio is now Secretary of State facing Sergey Lavrov, andthe Russians know exactly how these things are done.

On one hand, the NYT article spills the beans and informs the public. On the other hand, their reason for purposefully spilling the beans is to create a problem for Trump and Rubio, and possibly between Trump and Rubio.

It makes sense now why Secretary of State Rubio was the first Trump official to publicly say the United States was in a proxy war against Russia using Ukraine as the justification.

Many people keep asking if the “new Rubio” is the real Rubio, or if he has been positioning as a neocon stealth influence. I think we are about to find out.

Keep watching closely.

Romanian far-right parties call for protests after presidential election defeat

By Iulian Ernst in Bucharest May 26, 2025

Leaders of Romania’s main far-right parties are calling for street protestsand demanding early parliamentary elections. George Simion, leader of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), which holds nearly 20% of seats in parliament, made the appeal in a public statement following his recent presidential election defeat, according to HotNews.

Both AUR and the Party of Young People (POT) are pushing to capitalise on the mounting discontent over proposed austerity measures, as the government tries to address growing fiscal challenges.

We must keep fighting,” Simion declared, calling on supporters to join AUR or other "sovereignist" parties and to mobilise through unions, civic groups and demonstrations.

“Given the state of Romania’s economy, I believe early elections will be held within several months,” he said, encouraging peaceful protests to pressure the government.

Anamaria Gavrilă, a close political ally and leader of POT, which had 6% representation in parliament before internal splits, echoed the call for early elections in recent public remarks.

The current government is preparing a fiscal consolidation package to address a budget deficit that reached 9.3% of GDP in 2024, well above EU thresholds. Even if measures such as a VAT hike are avoided, spending cuts are expected to affect public employees, pensioners, and other social categories reliant on state support — groups that far-right parties aim to rally.

Simion and his allies, including the smaller SOS party, are positioning themselves as an alternative to the pro-European ruling coalition, which is expected to remain led by the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the National Liberal Party (PNL). However, both parties face internal instability. Liberal Party president Nicolae Ciucă has resigned, while PSD’s interim leadership under Sorin Grindeanu has yet to signal any major organisational reform.

Unless the ruling coalition delivers credible reforms and fiscal discipline, it may face intensified anti-establishment pressure from far-right parties. The fragile political landscape increases the risk of social unrest and complicates Romania’s efforts to meet its commitments under EU fiscal and recovery frameworks.

Circuit Justice Kagan Never Bothered Calling For A Reply In Trump v. AFGE

The District Court succeeded its TRO with a PI, rendering the government's application moot.

JOSH BLACKMAN | 5.25.2025 2:45

The Circuit Justices do not apply uniform rules when it comes to emergency applications. Justice Jackson, for example, refused to promptly call for a response in Libby v. Fectau, a case where the majority ultimately granted emergency docket relief.

I have also been keeping my eye on Trump v. AFGE. On May 9, A federal district court issued a TRO against the Trump Administration to block the removal of certain employees. On May 16, the Solicitor General applied for an emergency stay with Circuit Justice Kagan. And Kagan did absolutely nothing. She didn't even call for a reply.

On May 22, the District Court entered a preliminary injunction, which the government promptly appealed. On May 23, the Solicitor General filed a letter with the Supreme Court, withdrawing the stay application. The short letter states:

On May 16, 2025, we filed in the above-captioned case an application for a stay of an order issued on May 9, 2025, by the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Labeled as a temporary restraining order, that order barred numerous executive-branch agencies from taking various actions related to an executive order and guidance memorandum concerning federal agencies' reductions in force. The order also directed the disclosure of certain deliberative executive-branch planning documents. Yesterday, May 22, the district court issued a preliminary injunction succeeding its temporary restraining order. Today, the United States filed a motion in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to stay that new order pending appeal. In light of those developments, the United States withdraws its May 16 stay application in this Court.

I think I figured out what happened here. Justice Kagan realized that the District Court would almost certainly replace the unappealable TRO with an appealable PI. So she didn't lift a finger. She would rather wait for the normal appellate process to play out in the Ninth Circuit. Apparently,Justice Kagan did not think much of the government's urgent desire for a ruling.

As a practical matter, Kagan's delay extends by at least a month how long the government would be subject to an injunction. There isn't even the chance for an administrative stay. This case illustrates how much power and discretion the Circuit Justice has.

One of my proposals for bilateral judicial reform is to rotate the circuit justices annually. How is it fair that Justice Kagan always has authority over the Ninth Circuit while Justice Alito always has authority over the Fifth Circuit?Neither Justice has any geographic ties to the area. These should shift every year. And while I'm on the topic, theCourt should consider a standard timeline for responses with emergency applications. It seems unfair that individual Circuit Justices can game the system.

WATCH: South Africa’s Ramaphosa Defends ‘Kill the Boer’: It’s a ‘Liberation Chant’

Joel B. Pollak27 May 2025

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa defended the “Kill the Boer” slogan as a “liberation chant” Tuesday, refusing U.S. President Donald Trump’s demand to arrest opposition figure Julius Malema for using it.

Last Wednesday, during a meeting in the Oval Office, Trump accused South Africa of “genocide” and showed a video of Malema and his Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party chanting “Kill the Boer,” “Kill the farmer,” “Shoot to kill,” and other violent slogans at large rallies.Trump said that Malema ought to be arrested for incitement. Malema responded by repeating the slogan, both online and in another rally Sunday.

Ramaphosa denied that there was a “genocide” taking place — though others, like South Africa’sChief Rabbi Warren Goldstein, later said the term “genocide” was appropriate, given the fact that over 650,000 people had been murdered since 1994.

“It is not a white genocide, it is not a black genocide, it is a human genocide,” Goldstein said, noting that Ramaphosa never condemned the “Kill the Boer” chant, even in the Oval Office.

South Africa’s judicial system has failed to enforce the law against Malema — even though South Africa’s constitution, which guarantees freedom of expression, specifically prohibits “advocacy of hatred that is based on race, ethnicity, gender or religion, and that constitutes incitement to cause harm.”

Reporters confronted Ramaphosa on Tuesday at a conference in Cape Town about Trump’s demand, and this was his response:

When it comes to the issues of arresting anyone, for any slogan, that is a sovereign issue. It’s not a matter where we need to be instructed by anyone that, “Go and arrest this one.” We are very proud, sovereign country that has its own laws, that has its own processes, and we take into account what the Constitutional Court also decided, when it said that, you know that slogan, “Kill the Boer, kill the farmer,” is a liberation chant and slogan, and it’s not meant to be a message that elicits or calls upon anyone to go and be killed. And that is what our court decided. So they will probably want to arrest people willy-nilly. We follow the dictates of our constitution. Because we are a constitutional state, and we are a country where freedom of expression is the bedrock of our constitutional arrangement.

=Ironically, the South African government is currently investigating Afrikaner groups for “treason” for using their freedom of expression to raise awareness of the plight of white farmers, both at home and in the U.S.

A minister representing Ramaphosa reiterated earlier this month that the government considered such “misinformation” to be a “treasonous act,” despite constitutional guarantees of the freedom of expression.

Harvard’s Kennedy School Could Lose 60% of Students Under International Ban

Joel B. Pollak27 May 2025

Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Governmentcould lose nearly 60% of its student body if the Trump administration’s attempted ban on international enrollment, temporarily blocked by a judge, takes effect.

As at many Harvard schools, campus life at the Kennedy School has been hijacked by anti-Israel activists.

Last week, a federal judge blocked President Donald Trump from denying Harvard the ability to enroll students on foreign visas. But the administration made clear it intends to stop Harvard from being able to enroll foreigners if it continues to defy the president’s demands that it fight antisemitism and reform its “woke” curriculum and administrative practices.

The Harvard Crimson reported on the potential impact:

At the Harvard Kennedy School, the Trump administration’s attempt to revoke Harvard’s eligibility to enroll international students — temporarily blocked in court — could eliminate nearly 60 percent of the student body.

After Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced on Thursday that the administration had revoked Harvard’s Student Exchange and Visitor Program certification, which allows it to enroll international students, Harvard swiftly sued to block the order. A federal judge granted a temporary restraining order within hours.

The Kennedy School’s mid-career master’s in public administration degree offers a specializedfellowship program for leaders in developing or transitional countries. International students make up 87 percent of enrollees in the Kennedy School’s MPA in international development degree, which trains students to craft social and economic policy for low-income areas and countries. And Belgium’s future queen, Princess Elisabeth, is a public policy student at HKS. (Sounds like Nation Building Trump talked about in Saudi Arabia)

The Trump administration is already withholding billions of dollars of funding from Harvard, as the university has decided to pursue lawsuits against the administration rather than negotiating with it.

Macron Warns of ‘Conspiratorial or Paranoid’ Claims About Muslim Brotherhood Infiltration in Europe

Kurt Zindulka27 May 2025

French President Emmanuel Macron has attempted to downplay the significance of the explosive report from his own government detailing the infiltration of the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood in France and throughout Europe, warning against the spread of so-called conspiracy theories.

Last week, an intelligence report published by the French Interior Ministryquite literally alleged a decades-long conspiracy by the Muslim Brotherhood to develop an effective fifth column across Europe by entering EU institutions and gaining sway over Islamic associationsand Muslim migrant communities with the explicit aim of instituting Sharia law in the West.

However, on Monday,President Macron attempted to downplay the scale of the issues raised by the report, which sent shockwaves throughout the continent.

In comments reported by Le Figaro, Macron acknowledged that the Muslim Brotherhood infiltration has been identified in “some neighbourhoods”, but said that the public “shouldn’t think that they are everywhere, because that can make you conspiratorial or paranoid.”

The statement from the French president, who reportedly urged against the publication of the bombshell report, appears to be more in line with those made by the Islamist-aligned far-left than those from his own government.

Indeed, the leader of the leftist La France Insoumise (France in Revolt/LFI) party, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, has branded the report itself as being “Islamophobic” and full of “conspiracy theories” from the so-called far-right. The report had noted that the Muslim Brotherhood explicitly uses campaigns against “Islamophobia” to marshal support and gain legitimacy in the public sphere, including by garnering support from the left.

Undeterred, Mélenchon went on tocompare the warnings about radical Islam’s influence on European politics to antisemitism in the lead up to the Second World War, writing that “after ‘the Jewish plot’ of the 1930s, here is the ‘Muslim plot’.”

Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau, whose department released the report, responded by saying: “Jean-Luc Mélenchon and LFI are the accomplices and useful idiots of Islamism.”

“The progression of Islamist entryism is profound; few saw it coming. It is at the heart of a Republican fight. We cannot respond to taqiyya, to dissimulation, with omerta, that is to say, silence,” he added.

Retailleau has vowed to use government power to target the financial assets of Muslim associations with links to the Brotherhood movement, and to use intelligence services to target local “Islamist ecosystems” with the aim of preventing them from infiltrating government institutions down to the municipal level.

While some, including the populist National Rally party of Marine Le Pen, have called for the government to ban the Muslim Brotherhood as a proscribed terrorist organisation, the Interior Minister argued that such a move would be ineffective as it is “not so much a mass organisation as a school of thought.”

The ramifications of the report have not been confined to France, with the government of Sweden, after being identified by the French intel as a hotspot for the Muslim Brotherhood, announcing last week that it will launch an investigation into Islamist infiltration in its society.

There have also been calls for accountability at the EU level, given that the report found that the Muslim Brotherhood was not only permeating throughout European Union institutions but also being funded by various Brussels bureaucracies.

On Monday, a group of 50 Members of the European Parliament, led by French MEP and Le Pen dynasty scion Marion Maréchal, demanded thatEU chief Ursula von der Leyen “explain the relationship between Brussels and the Muslim Brotherhood.”

They demanded information on EU subsidies being funnelled to Muslim Brotherhood-tied groups and on the infiltration of EU institutions. Finally, the group also called for Brussels to ban the Islamist network within Europe, saying: “The Muslim Brotherhood is a danger to Europe, the European Commission must fight it rather than finance it!”

Trump Effect: Europe Splashes $170+ Billion on Urgent Rearmament

Simon Kent27 May 2025

European Union (E.U.) members on Tuesday agreed the urgent outlay of a new 170-billion-dollar (150-billion-euro) loan programme to help rearmament and respond to President Donald Trump’s demand the zone begin to rely more on its own resources and less on U.S. taxpayers for funding.

The SAFE borrowing scheme backed by the E.U.’s central budget was proposed by Brussels in March while the bloc rushes to boost its defences as Russia shows no sign of retreating from its aggressive push into the east through Ukraine, AFP reports.

The text of the agreement received final approval at a meeting of Europe ministers in Brussels. In all 26 countries voted for and one abstention, the presidency said.

France’s Europe minister Benjamin Haddad called SAFE “a major step forward” that asserts “a very clear principle of European preference to support our industries, reduce our dependencies including from the United States, and invest in Europe’s strategic autonomy.”

“But it is just one step — and we will need to go further,” Haddad told reporters in Brussels, per the AFP report.

Trump has piled pressure on Europe by insisting he wants NATO to agree to devote five percent of GDP to defence with promises already made, as Breitbart News reported.

Trump has previously criticized the cost of the war in Ukraine for U.S. taxpayers through major military aid packages and made clear he wants to shift more of the fiscal burden back across the Atlantic.

The new European borrowing programme is part of a package of measures including loosening budget rules that Brussels says could potentially unlock 800 billion euros of defence spending.

Yes Europe and EU is willing to bankrupt themselves to support the Ukraine proxy war

NATO chief fears Trump-Zelensky conflict could derail summit – NYT

Mark Rutte is reportedly hoping to keep any meeting between the two “short and sweet”

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte fears that tensions between US President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky could undermine the bloc’s upcoming summit in the Netherlands, The New York Times reported on Monday.

Citing European officials and diplomats, the outlet has said that Rutte has sought to keep the meeting “short and sweet” to avoid renewed public rifts over Ukraine’s bid to join the military bloc.

The NATO summit, set for June 24–25 in The Hague, is expected to focus on accelerating militarization and Ukraine’s possible membership. According to the New York Times, Rutte and most European memberssupport Kiev’s participation in the meeting.

Russia has repeatedly called Ukraine’s NATO bid a red line and the main cause of the conflict.

Trump’s reluctance to continue US support for Ukraine and his refusal to back its NATO bid have reportedly cast uncertainty over the meeting’s agenda. The US leader has repeatedly argued that Kiev should never have been considered for membership, admitting that it was one of the key triggers of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Trump engaged in a heated exchange with Zelensky during a meeting at the White House in February, where he accused the Ukrainian leader of “gambling with World War III” by refusing to seek peace with Moscow.

According to the NYT, Rutte now seeks to avoid “open disunity over Ukraine” by shortening the summit and minimizing discussion of controversial topics. While Zelensky is expected to attend, officials cited by the NYT have said he might not be invited to the main opening dinner.

US Ambassador to NATO,Matthew Whitaker, has also stated that while Zelensky is expected to be at The Hague during the summit, his capacity is something the US is still “discussing.”

The Italian agency ANSA has also reported that Washington is opposed inviting Vladimir Zelensky to the summit.

This year’s event will not include a NATO-Ukraine Council session, NATO officials also told the NYT. Instead, leaders are only expected to meet briefly on the second day of the summit to ratify updated military spending targets.

Concerns over Trump’s potential to derail the upcoming NATO summit come as the US president has reversed policies adopted by former US administrations and sought to rebuild contacts with Moscow.

Last week, he held his third phone call in recent months with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which both leaders described the conversation as positive.

(Rutte thinks he gives cover for Ukraine with Trump, he is a big liar and always has been)

Greenland eyes Chinese investment amid ‘new world order’

Potential US involvement in mining is “problematic,” a minister has said, as the autonomous Danish island reassesses global ties

Greenland is weighing the possibility of inviting Chinese investment to develop its mining sector in light of tensions with the US and limited engagement with the EU, the island’s business and mineral resources minister, Naaja Nathanielsen, told the Financial Times on Tuesday.

An autonomous territory of Denmark, Greenland holds vast but hard-to-exploit reserves of minerals such as gold and copper. Foreign capital is essential for developing the resources, yet recent geopolitical tensions have made it difficult to secure reliable partnerships.

“We are trying to figure out what the new world order looks like,” Nathanielsen said, adding that Greenland was “having a difficult time finding [its] footing” in evolving relationships with its Western allies.

The Arctic island signed a memorandum of understanding with the US on mineral development during President Donald Trump’s first term. However, according to Nathanielsen, it’s coming to an end. The government in Nuuk had tried, unsuccessfully, to renew it during the administration of former US President Joe Biden.

Following Trump’s return to office in January, Greenland hoped to revive discussions of renewing the memorandum. Instead, the US president talked about purchasing the island and refused to rule out using military force to assert US sovereignty over it.

Nathanielsen called such statements “disrespectful and distasteful,” adding that Greenland “has no wish to be American.”

China has shown interest in the Arctic’s mineral wealth, including oil, gas, and minerals. It has invested in Russian energy projects and has expressed interest in Greenland's mining sector. No Chinese companies, however, are currently operating active mines in Greenland, although one firm holds a minority stake in an inactive project.

According to Nathanielsen, Chinese investors might be holding back because they don’t want “to provoke anything.”

“In those terms, Chinese investment is of course problematic, but so, to some extent, is American,” she said.

Greenland would prefer closer cooperation with the EU, which aligns more closely with its environmental priorities, the minister said. However, the bloc’s engagement has been slow, with only one project, led by a Danish-French consortium, currently in development. The mine is expected to begin operations within five years.

At present, Greenland has two functioning mines: one for gold, operated by the Icelandic-Canadian firm Amaroq Minerals, and another for anorthosite, a light-colored industrial rock, managed by a subsidiary of Canada’s Hudson Resources.

BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Tina Peters Message to President Trump on Memorial Day

May 26, 2025 by Joe Hoft

Tina Peters shares a Memorial Day Message to President Trump.

WOW – Here is Tina’s message with text below:

Here is Tina’s message to President Trump:

Dear President Trump:

When I first met you the first week in May, 2022, you told me, “When this is all over, you will be a hero.” Then you added, “You are a hero!”

Today I write from prison on Memorial Day 2025, with great sadness, not because I am in prison, but because my Navy SEAL son died defending this country. He was three weeks from going back to Iraq with SEAL Team 3 after serving nine long years, starting in 2008 when Obama was elected. He hated the fact that the administration mandated that his team train the enemy. He loved what he did on the team, but hated that the president would not let them be effective againstthe enemy.

He loved to base jump wing suit and taught many of the guys to do so.Remington Jordan Peters October 30, 1989 – May 28, 2017 died as part of the Navy Leap Frog Team that he served for two years. Most people do not know that in addition to duties as a SEAL, he trained and worked with other SEALs and army rangers to go after human traffickers.

Even though his double parachute failure on Memorial Day was officially labeled an accident, many know otherwise. Remington had over 900 jumps as an expert paratrooper and was an expert at everything he did. In B.U.D.S during his field team training, he was voted by his peers as Honor Man, ands given a one-of-a-kind rifle engraved with the Navy Trident, which if I’m considered a felon, I will not be able to keep.

Prison is very difficult for me because me and my family have always treasured liberty so much. My husband of 35 years, after me exposing the biggest scandal of election fraud, was taken from me illegally and died as a result. He had served in Viet Nam as a marine and was in a nursing home and moved out of my care.

The evil these criminals have done to me and my country grieves me so.The upcoming mid-term elections are always on my mind. We have to save Colorado as well as our elections. They thought by falsely accusing me and throwing me in jail and prison [they] would finally silence me,but all that I’ve experienced as a lung cancer survivor facing death, the excruciatingly painful death of my son, Remington, and the unrelenting harassment, persecutionand taking my husband and facilitating his death, has all deepened my resolve to continue the fight.

When I met you in 2022, I was running for Colorado Secretary of State against Jena Griswold, the Obama protégé and his former election attorney in DC. I raised more money in the four months after I announced on our friend Steve Bannon’s show February 14, 2022 than all my Republican opponents combined. At 47% in the three-way race with even the corrupt press acknowledging I won, I came in close to last. We and the Cyber experts, some of who had authored the Mesa County Reports 1, 2 and 3 saw them change votes in real time.

I raised the $255,000 to pay for a recount, but Jena Griswold and Dominion Voting Systems violated [the] law in instructing election clerksto use images instead of voter verified paper ballots that the statute required. As we know from what I uncovered, the images are changed by manipulating illegal software in the voting machines. The reports are on my website Tinapeters.us.

Prison, Mr. President, is constant and agonizing stress. My mother is 96 years-old and another blow would be for her to die while I’m in here. I need to see that what I’ve contributed to exposing the theft of our elections is made right for the American people and I need to be out helping perfect that change.

The people responsible for putting me in here on a national level like Merrick Garland are done. But Jena Griswold, the one who deleted 29,000 2020election records and more is running for Colorado Attorney Generaland the current Colorado AG Phil Weiser, who is responsible for putting me in here, is running for Colorado Governor.

Mr. President, I appreciate all you’ve done and I know that my request is just a small thingon the many global events that you have to be responsible for and to affect the change, but I ask for God’s mercy and direction in how I can be of further service to my country and regain my liberty.

Thank you so much and God bless you and keep you.

Tina M. Peters

Gold Star Mother and former Mesa County, Colorado Clerk and Recorder

La Vista Colorado Correctional Facility Inmate #203512

On this Memorial Day please remember Tina Peters, her son and her family.

NEW: Nashville’s Democrat Mayor Under Federal Investigation for ‘Aiding and Abetting’ Illegal Aliens

by Cristina Laila May. 26, 2025 7:20

Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell is under federal investigation for aiding and abetting illegal aliens.

WKRN reported:

Two federal committees will be conducting an investigation into Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell for allegedly “aiding and abetting” illegal immigration, Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles announced on Monday.

The investigation stems an ongoing escalation between community members and federal immigration authorities. Ogles called for an investigation into the mayor’s office after O’Connell criticized a “joint safety operation” conducted by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials and troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol at the beginning of May.

The operation ended with 196 people arrested, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that also claimed the Nashville mayor “stands by pro-illegal policies.”

O’Connell’s criticism involved how members of the Metro Nashville Police Department have “been delivering safety to this community by reducing crime multiple years in a row,” and pointing out federal officials have “shown us no proof” that those arrested in the early May operation were people “with criminal histories or criminal intent.”

GOP Congressman Andy Ogles (TN) confirmed the investigation and said he will be formally requesting all documents from the mayor’s office.

“If you’re helping violent gangs destroy Tennessee by obstructing ICE—you belong behind bars,” Rep. Ogles said.

With the support of the House Judiciary Committee, I will be formally requesting all documents and communications from the Mayor’s office related to:

– The amendment of Executive Order 30—an outrageous directive requiring Nashville employees and first responders to report all communication with federal immigration authorities directly to the Mayor.

– Any internal discussions or documents concerning ICE enforcement actions in Nashville or Davidson County.

– All correspondence involving Metro employees and affiliated NGOs regarding the arrest or detention of criminal illegal aliens within the city or county.

The Not-So-Secret Society Whose Members Run State

A group named after Benjamin Franklin is attracting scrutiny, and suspicion, as its members gain top diplomatic slots.

Nahal Toosi 5/24/25

Hankinson, who also spent years in the foreign service, said the overlap between the group’s Fellows and the State staffing chart comes down to math. The pool of current and former U.S. diplomats known to have views that match Trump’s is small.

“One of our primary goals is to serve as a network to connect career diplomats and other foreign policy professionals who share the same values — including openly advocating for the U.S. national interest in foreign affairs,” Hankinson said. He added that if a Democratic administration sought Fellowship members’ suggestions for hires, they’d offer them ideas, too. “I suspect that won’t happen,” he chuckled.

I pointed out that Olowski is much less experienced than past diplomats who’ve overseen human resources at State. How is that a merit-based promotion?

But Hankinson noted that Olowski had the role on an acting basis and argued that he had a solid résumé. Hankinson also said many political appointees under other administrations were underqualified for their roles. The Fellowship’s concerns about putting merit over DEI are centered more on the career foreign service, not political appointees. (Olowski did not respond to my request for comment; neither did Landau.)

The Fellowship has largely been funded out of its founders’ pockets, but it is seeking grants and accepting donations, Hankinson said. One superficial but potentially tricky challenge it will face is differentiating itself from multiple other programs named after Franklin, who is considered America’s first diplomat. (That’s one reason the group uses “Ben” instead of “Benjamin” in its name.)

The organization has multiple levels of affiliation, including fellows, members and people who are on the mailing list. Becoming a fellow or a member involves vetting to ensure the applicant agrees with the basic principles of the group, Hankinson said.

At the moment, he added, “we’re seeing a lot of interest.”

Trump Administration's Latest Letter to Federal Agencies Is Really Going to Infuriate Harvard

Leah Barkoukis 5/27/25FAFO

The Trump administration ispoised to end all federal contracts with Harvard University, the latest salvo in its ongoing feud with the school.

According to reports, the directive is expected to be delivered Tuesday in a letter from the Government Services Administrationinstructing agencies to review current contracts with Harvard and its affiliates to determine whether they can be terminated or transferred elsewhere. The remaining contracts are worth an estimated $100 million.

GSA points to Harvard’s ongoing race discrimination in its admissions process and other areas of campus life, as well as the school’s disregard for the “safety and well being of Jewish students” amid the rise in antisemitic activities on campus.

“We recommend that your agency terminate for convenience each contract that it determines has failed to meet its standards, and transition to a new vendor those contracts could be better serviced by an alternative counterparty,” the letter states. “Going forward, we also encourage your agency to seek alternative vendors for future services where you had previously considered Harvard.”

A report on the contract cancellations is requested by June 6.

The letter comes after Trump suggested on Monday diverting federal funds from Harvard to trade schools.

“I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from a very antisemitic Harvard, and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “What a great investment that would be for the USA, and so badly needed!!!”
