Y'all might want to do a re-read.

There's some surprises in that story that we were not really told.

God was not mad at Adam or Eve. In fact, Eve did not exist when Adam was told not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. A careful reading shows that God loves Adam and Eve, but he sure declared war on the Satan.

Anon suspects that Adam and Eve disobeyed God, but since they were completely innocent of any kind of knowledge of the difference between good and evil at the time they ate the fruit, they could not have "sinned" in any evil, intentional respect.

Can a one year old sin?

This possibility is reflected in what God did after the three of them were finished messing things up.

It's sad that churches change "religious doctrine" to control mankind, because the churches want to put the sin on mankind, and make us depend on the Church to get to heaven. We only need our creator.

When you re-read, take note of the parts they never talk about in this story, because anon finds the failure to mention these things interesting:

When God went looking for the two kids after they ate the apple, lost their clothes, and went hiding, I noticed;

1) God was not angry at Adam. He just asks him questions.

In fact, you could argue Adam ate the fruit because he thought Eve was going to die, and he didn't want to live without her. Adam had experience with loneliness that was not in Eve's experience. God noticed that, and says thats why he created Eve in the first place.

2) God had no angry reply for Eve, either.

One could argue that God never told Eve she could not eat the fruit, since she wasn't around when Adam was told not to eat it. She did not exist yet to hear any such command.

In fact, careful reading shows EVE is completely convinced that even TOUCHING the tree will kill her. Where did she get that idea, since Gods command would be nothing less than perfect?

so………

Not mad at Adam. Not mad at Eve.

But holy cow, did God declare war on the Satan.

It looks to anon like God told his innocent one and two year old not to climb on the coffee table or they would surely fall and break their teeth at least? He was explaining consequences. They were probably wondering what the word "die" meant.

What parent has not had to do this?

Satan however, is quite the liar, quite the deceiver.

His JOB was babysitter. He knew better.

Here is where he askes Eve if she cant eat from ANY TREE.

Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

That's pretty intentional fraud, a misleading question.

Eve's response looks like an attempt to clear up a confused babysitter if you will?

Genesis 3:2

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Why does she honestly think you will die if you TOUCH the tree? Imagine her surprise as that snake slithers up the tree without dropping dead.

Read the following sequence of events, and you realize Eve did not even exist when Adam was told not to eat the fruit. Looks like she got some imperfect instructions from someone.

Genisis 2

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Did God ever tell Eve not to eat the fruit?

Did Adam., out of the fear of losing her, lay it out to her something like:

"Hey, dont even touch that thing or you will die."

God came home, found the babysitter with a butcher knife raised over the kids in the play pen.

You do not mess with God's kids.

If you do,

God appears to have thrown the babysitter out by separating the dimensions. Many speculate that Adam and Eve were originally clothed in light.

And it appears he had to literally come here as a 4 dimensional human to blaze a trail back to heaven for us in some sort of legal, mathematical "physics restructuring" of our universe.

In the end, God declares war on the babysitter, not the babies.

The rest of the bible is the epic tale of how much God loves his kids.

God loves us.

Satan is the one who wants to destroy humanity.

And he is always after the kids.
