Ex-Yale prof encourages Iran to target U.S. military bases in social media post
• Helyeh Doutaghi was fired from Yale University in March following allegations that she was directly connected to a designated terrorist organization.
• Doutaghi has recently taken to social media and encouraged Iran to attack United States military bases in the Middle East.
By Michael Duke '26 June 24, 2025, 3:46 pm ET
A former Yale University professor who was previously terminated for allegations of being linked to a terrorist organizationhas encouraged Iran to target U.S. military bases.
Helyeh Doutaghi, a former educator at Yale University, recently made the comments about a potential Iranian attack on X. Internet personality Eyal Yakoby published a screenshot of Doutaghi’s June 12 X post.
“[A]ll US military bases in the region, the occupied Palestinian territories, and any state that enables aggression by allowing its airspace or territory to be used for attacks against Iran,” said Doutaghi, commenting on a separate post that stated that Iran has the right to defend itself.
Yale News reported that Doutaghi was placed on administrative leave from her position at Yale on March 6 after she was accused of being connected to theinternational Samidoun network—a designated terrorist organization.
Doutaghi reportedly refused to cooperate with the university, resulting in her contract being terminated. According to The New Haven Register, Doutaghi later claimed that she was experiencing retaliation for her support for Palestine.
Many of Doutaghi’s X posts reflect anti-West and anti-American sentiments.
“The West will not remain untouched by the barbaric violence it is inflicting upon our homelands,” Doutaghi said in a June 15 X post. “A deepening energy security crisis is coming. Global trade routes and energy flows will suffer. The cost of complicity will be felt.”
Regarding the United States, specifically, Doutaghi posted on Saturday that, “America’s direct military assault on Iran will conclude its decline as an empire-just as Israel’s aggression on Iran has put an end to its military illusion and exposed the fragility of its settler-colonial project.”
In another post on Monday, Doutaghi commented on the intercepted Iranian attack on U.S. bases in Qatar, saying “Morning: Iran hits a US proxy.
Afternoon: Iran hits a US base. And some still can’t see the empire crumbling.”

Trump claims U.S. and Iran will hold meeting next week
Barak Ravid 6/25/2025
The U.S. and Iran will meet next week to discuss a potential nuclear deal, President Trump claimed at a press conference at the end of the NATO summit on Wednesday.
==Why it matters:– Iran has not publicly confirmed any planned meeting with U.S. officials, which would come just a week after Trump ordered an unprecedented military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.
• Iran retaliated by launching missiles at a U.S. military base in Qatar on Monday, but signaled it was ready to de-escalate and later agreed to a ceasefire with Israel.
• Trump, whose NATO appearance doubled as a victory lap for the B-2 bombing operation that dealt heavy damage to Iran's nuclear program, has called for Iran to return to the negotiating table.
Driving the news:The last meeting between White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araghchi took place more than a month ago.
• U.S. and Israeli officials told Axios that Witkoff and Araghchi were supposed to meet on June 15 in Oman, where Iran was expected to give its official response to the latest U.S. proposal for a nuclear deal.
• An Israeli official said Israel was ready to hold off on attacking Iran until after the results of that meeting became clear.
But on June 12, Israel and the U.S. received intelligence that made clear the Iranians were not going to attend the meeting, U.S. and Israeli officials say.
• "At that moment, we told the U.S. we have no reason to wait and we are launching the attack," the Israeli official said.
• What followed was a 12-day war in which Israel took control of Iran's skies, struck nuclear and military sites, and assassinated top military leadership and nuclear scientists.
• The U.S. then intervened with a major strike on Saturday that Trump has repeatedly claimed "obliterated" Iran's nuclear program.
What they're saying:Trump told reporters the U.S. and Iran "may sign a document," but said he "doesn't feel very strongly about it" because the Iranian nuclear program has been destroyed.
• Trump said the main priority in talks is to secure a commitment that Iran will not obtain a nuclear weapon.
• He also lashed out at the media for reporting on an early U.S. intelligence assessment that suggested Iran's nuclear program has only been set back a few months, not years.
What to watch:Secretary of State MarcoRubio, who is also Trump's national security adviser, said that Iran must negotiate "directly with the United States, not through some third country or fourth country process."
• "Do you want to draw up a little agreement for them to sign?" Trump asked Rubio onstage at the NATO press conference. (OK a bit obvious asking Rubio on stage at NATO, the world and Iran are watching, that seems like it would be a private conversation)
• "Because I think we can get them to sign it. I don't think it's necessary," he added, saying Iran will likely be focused on post-war recovery efforts.
• "I don't see them getting back involved in the nuclear business anymore. I think they've had it."
https://www.axios.com/2025/06/25/trump-iran-meeting-nuclear-deal-israel
(I was trying to figure out why Trump was saying that, especially since Iran would require guarantees. He is doing this to make Iran demand to sign a document?Everyone knows, nothing is legal without a document that is signed, and without a doubt with governments, there are no hand shake there.)
Look at Rubio and Hegseth in the picture, it seems like they are trying to decipher code that PDJT is saying, what do you think?

Scoop: Trump to limit sharing classified info with Congress after leak on Iran bombing damage
The Trump administration plans to limit sharing classified information with Congress aftersomeone leaked an internal assessmentsuggesting that Saturday's bombings of Iran's nuclear facilities weren't as successful as President Trump claimed, four sources tell Axios.
• The FBI also is investigating the leak, the sources said.
Why it matters:The leaking of the preliminary Defense Intelligence Agency's "Battle Damage Assessment" outraged Trump and top U.S. officials, who said it was incomplete and that its release was aimed at undercutting Trump's claims that Iran's nuclear sites had been "obliterated."
•"We are declaring a war on leakers,"a senior White House official said Wednesday.
• "The FBI is investigating the leak," the source said. "The intelligence community is figuring out how to tighten up their processes so we don't have 'Deep State' actors leaking parts of intel analysis that have 'low confidence' to the media."
Zoom in:The administration sources say they're planning to limit posting on CAPNET, a system the administration uses to share classified information with Congress.
•The DIA's assessment on the Iran bombings was put on CAPNET late Monday. The next afternoon, CNN and then the New York Times reported snippets of the assessment.
• The early media reports indicated that Iran's nuclear program had been set back only by a matter of months, instead of being "obliterated."
Zoom out:Democrats in Congress already were upsetat the administration for refusing to brief some members before the bombings, and the White House's plans to further restrict the sharing of classified information are likely to provoke a fresh round of criticism.
•Administration officials are unmoved, however.
• "Go figure: Almost as soon as we put the information on CAPNET, it leaks," an administration source said. "There's no reason to do this again."
Between the lines:Thesources who spoke with Axios said they couldn't disclose more detailsof the DIA assessment, but emphasized three aspects of the report:
It was put together in the 24 hours after the bombings and was based on a review of satellite photos and not on-the-ground witnesses to the damage.
It was just one early "snapshot" of information from only one of the 18 agencies in the intelligence community.
The report self-acknowledged the "low confidence" of the assessment, which was to be used as a tool to guide whether the administration wanted to bomb the facilities again.
Then there's the early assessment by Israeli intelligence services, who said the U.S. and Israeli strikes caused "very significant" damage.
The big picture:Since his first run for president in 2016, when his campaign was investigated for its ties to Russia, Trump has been deeply suspicious of the intelligence community. Tuesday's disclosures only increased that sense of paranoia.
•"Trump knows the IC [intelligence community] has spooks who hate his guts,"one adviser said.
What they're saying:At a NATO press conference in Europe on Wednesday, Trump criticized the coverage of the DIA leak, as did Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Marco Rubio, the secretary of state and national security adviser.
• They said the U.S. hit Iran's three nuclear sites with so many Tomahawk missiles and massive bunker-busting bombs that the country's program was set back significantly, echoing the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
• "All this stuff about the intelligence: This is what a leaker is telling you the intelligence says," Rubio said.
•"That's the game these people play. They read it and then they go out and characterize it the way they want to characterize it."

Democrats rage as Trump limits classified intel sharing with Congress
Top congressional Democrats are furious over President Trump's decision to limit intelligence sharing with Capitol Hill after the alleged leaks of preliminary assessments about the U.S. strike on Iranian nuclear sites.
Why it matters:Democrats see the Trump decision as a significant escalation in what they say is the White House's attempt to stonewall Congress about the Iran conflict.
•"This isn't about national security—it's about Trump's insecurity. President Trump is cutting off intelligence to Congress, raising one clear question: what is he hiding?" Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told Axios in a statement.
•"It must be bad news," Senate Deputy Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) told Axios of the intel surrounding the Iran strike.
•"They were embarrassedby the leak because it suggested that they did not obliterate the Iran nuclear program as promised."
House Intel Committeeranking member Jim Himes (D-Conn.) said the leak of classified information is "unacceptable and should be fully investigated," but that it's "also unacceptable for the Administration to use unsubstantiated speculation" to "justify cutting off Congress."
• "The law requires the congressional intelligence committees to be kept fully and currently informed, and I expect the Intelligence Community to comply with the law."
• "It is particularly concerning that our official oversight work could be cut by punitive or partisan restrictions to classified information," Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.) told Axios. Carson is also on House Intel.
Driving the news:Trump will limit information sharing with Congress going forward, Axios' Marc Caputo scooped on Wednesday.
• "We are declaring a war on leakers," a senior White House official said Wednesday.
• The intel was shared with Congress late Monday and CNN and the New York Times published details from the reports by Tuesday afternoon, Axios reported.
• "Go figure: Almost as soon as we put the information on [the system used to share intel with Congress], it leaks," an administration source said.
Zoom in: The White House earlier this week delayed briefings for both the House and Senate on the Iran conflict. Democratic leaders on both sides of the Capitol cried foul.
• Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard also backed out of a briefing with the Senate Intelligence Committee last week, which ruffled Democratic feathers.
• A senior House Democrat told Axios that leadership is "not happy," adding, "And this from a group of people who used signal about actual war plans?"
• "This is more backpedaling because they don't want to come here and present the facts," a Democratic leadership aide told Axios on the condition of anonymity.
(When are the democrats not in rage with PDJT?We the public saw Adam Schiff lie his ass off for 4+ years and has started it again on President Trump, so they can be mad all they want, but if the leaker get’s caught they are going to jail.)

Scoop: Trump hosting "everyday Americans" to squeeze GOP holdoutsAlex Isenstadt
President Trump on Thursday will hold an event at the White House to pressure GOP holdoutsto get behind his "big, beautiful bill" ahead of his July 4 deadline.
Why it matters:The event will highlight Trump's proposals for increased border security funding and making tips, overtime pay and Social Security tax-free — daring Republicans to vote against popular positions from his campaign.
• "Any Democrat or Republican that votes against the bill, is voting for a massive tax hike on everyday Americans," an administration official tells Axios. "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill codifies many of the promises President Trump was elected by 77 million Americans to deliver."
• Trump himself is slated to speak, the administration official said.
• Lawmakers are also being invited to attend.
The background:A handful of Republican senators have expressed some degree of opposition to the megabill.
• At the same time, multiple House Republicans have claimed they can't support the legislation in its current form in the Senate.
• But Trump is putting the squeeze on his party to get the bill approved.
•"To my friends in the Senate, lock yourself in a room if you must, don't go home, and GET THE DEAL DONE THIS WEEK,"Trump posted on Truth Social on Tuesday.
The big picture:The Thursday event, to be held in the White House East Room, underscores how Trump plans to present the domestic spending bill as a win for the middle class, despite claims from Democrats and other critics who say it bolsters the rich.
• It will feature "everyday Americans" who the administration says would benefit from the bill, including tipped workers, food delivery drivers and border patrol agents.
•The White House provided a list of attendees that includes a barber, a nurse and DoorDash driver.
Between the lines:Several of the "everyday Americans" hail from swing states that Trump won in 2024 — a signal to on-the-fence Republicans that the legislation is a political winner and that it's time to get on board.

Scoop: Trump plans victory lap for Big Beautiful Bill
President Trump's team huddled Monday to discuss a victory tour for shortly after July 4, following what they hope will be passage and signing of his Big Beautiful Bill, a White House source with direct knowledge tells Axios.
Why it matters:A top Trump aide pointed out that this will likely be seen as Trump's first big move of the 2026 midterm cycle. Republican control of the House is at acute risk.
Trump's top aides are planning a whole-of-government mobilization, with the president,Vice President JD Vance and top cabinet officials doing a lap around the country, visiting target states and congressional districts.
• The bill has passed the House but faces hurdles in the Senate. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) says he won't let senators leave for the Fourth of July recess until the bill passes.
• It'll be a puzzle, but the White House expects the bill to pass. With Trump looking strong abroad, expect a rally-around-the-chief effect among congressional Republicans.
Behind the scenes:The West Wing is in a triumphal mood after this weekend's U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, and the Trump-brokered ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran. (Israel has already accused Iran of violating it.)
• At 6am Tuesday, Trump was scheduled to leave the White House for a two-day trip to a NATO summit in the Netherlands, where he's expected to bask on the world stage.
Reality check:Republicans privately express lots of doubts about holding the House. And for all the overseas wins, Trump's poll numbers outside Republicans could depend on whether voters' daily lives are more affordable.
• The White House source told us: "Tough hasn't stopped us before."

Israel reportedly knows location of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles, Saudi outlet claims
The status of Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium is currently unclear following Israel’s 12-day campaign and US strikes.
Saudi news outlet Al Hadath reported on Tuesday, citing an anonymous Israeli security source, that Israel “knows exactly” where Iran is keeping its stockpiles of enriched uranium. The official who spoke to Al Hadath further claimed that “most of the enriched uranium is buried under the rubble in Iran."
The status of Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium remained a matter of speculation among officials since Israel launched preemptive strikes, including on various Iranian nuclear facilities, in the 12-day war that began June 13.
Such speculation continued following American strikes on Iran’s three main nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
IDF monitoring, but status of Iran’s enriched uranium remains unclear
Earlier this week, IDF Spokesperson Effie Defrin said the Israeli military is closely monitoring the possibility of Iran moving its enriched uranium from sites that are damaged or destroyed to other sites, in a response to a question asked during a press conference on Sunday.
March 9, 2006. Iran had claimed in the past it moved enriched uranium from Fordow to other sites, as reported by the New York Times. The NYT report added that 880 pounds of enriched uranium had been removed to 60% purity, below the 90% needed for nuclear weapons. Some 60% enriched fuel was stored at the nuclear facility in Isfahan.
Satellite imagery taken days before US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities showed trucks line up on the road adjacent to the facility, nestled in Iran’s mountains.
Vance gave no update on the status of Iran's stockpile post US strikes
US Vice President JD Vance was unable to confirm the status of Iran's stockpile in an ABC News interview after US President Donald Trump ordered airstrikes early on Sunday morning.
When asked about the status of Iran's 900 pounds of highly enriched uranium, Vance said that the Trump administration is "going to work in the coming weeks to ensure that we do something with that fuel, and that’s one of the things that we’re going to have conversations with the Iranians about."
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director-General Rafael Grossi previously noted that “Iran has made no secret that they have protected this material,” and that the fuel was last seen by his inspectors just before Israeli attacks on Iran.
After claiming Israel knows where the stockpiles are, the Saudi report quoted the official as saying that Israel will not target the stockpiles as to “avoid a nuclear catastrophe.”
To date, none of the Israeli attacks on nuclear facilities have been said to have caused a major, dangerous nuclear materials contamination event to Iranian civilians.

Trump denies discussing ceasefire with Zelensky
The US president has dodged questions about support for Kiev during a press conference at the NATO summit
US President Donald Trump has denied discussing a Ukraine ceasefireduring his meeting with Vladimir Zelensky on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague, directly contradicting the Ukrainian leader’s earlier remarks.
Zelensky had described the meeting as “long and substantive,” claiming the two leaders had discussed ways to “achieve a real peace.”
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Trump said the topic was not part of the conversation.“No, no, I just… wanted to know how he’s doing,”he said.
Trump added that he planned to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin in hopes of bringing the conflict to an end, though he did not specify when the conversation might take place.
When pressed on his past claim that he could end the war within 24 hours, Trump said the comment had been “sarcastic.” He acknowledged that resolving the conflict would not be easy, describing Putin as “more difficult” than anticipated and admitting he “had some problems with Zelensky” as well.
Asked if the US would contribute to the $5 billion in military aid pledged to Ukraine by other NATO countries, Trump reiterated only that the conflict must end.
In another exchange, a BBC Ukraine journalist asked whether the US would sell Patriot missile systems to Ukraine. Trump replied that the systems were “very hard to get” and that the US also needed them. He noted that Washington was supplying Patriots to Israelbut would “see if we can make some available.”
Since taking office in January, Trump has repeatedly called for a negotiated settlement to the Ukraine conflict. Earlier this week, he said he hoped to reach a “deal with Russia” to stop the fighting.
Moscow has maintained that it is willing to hold talks “without preconditions,” but insists that any lasting agreement must reflect the current battlefield realities and Ukraine’s neutrality.

(Obviously Trump didn't discuss ending the war with Zelensky, because Kiev is not interested in ending the war, so Trump will only talk to Putin to work to end it.)

‘Yapping bitches in Brussels a direct threat to Russia’ – Medvedev
The EU has become a militarized Russophobic organization, the former Russian president has said
The European Union has emerged as a hostile force to Moscow, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has claimed, accusing the bloc of arming the “neo-Nazi Kiev regime” to attack Russia.
In a Telegram post on Wednesday, Medvedev stated that the old EU as an economic union has “essentially ceased to exist,” and in its current “perverted form is no less of a threat” to Russia than NATO.
“Brussels today is Russia’s true enemy,” he wrote. “Slowly but surely, the EU is transforming into a self-sustaining military bloc that will gradually come to compete with NATO…”
The ex-president accused“Brusselian cockroaches and narrow-minded leaders of EU countries”of advancing their militarization strategy based on an imaginary “Russia threat,” ushering in a new “era of rearmament.”
According to Medvedev, the EU’s goal is to arm the Kiev regime to the point where it becomes invulnerable to Russia, claiming Brussels is ramping up its military-industrial output and building military factories on Ukrainian soil. The EU, he said, is also sending personnel to train Ukrainian militants “so that they can kill our citizens and carry out terrorist attacks.” He also accused Brussels of “brazenly” using profits from Russia’s frozen assets to finance its “vile activities.”
“The EU, stuffed with weapons, rainbow freaks, and yapping bitches in Brussels, constitutes a direct threat to Russia,”Medvedev wrote.“This, of course, should not hinder our bilateral cooperation with individual European states.”(KEK)
Ukraine’s potential EU membership – which Russia had not objected to in the past – would now constitute a “danger” for Moscow. While Kiev’s NATO ambitions were always seen as a red line for Russia, Medvedev indicated the EU had now adopted a similar confrontational posture.
Ukraine made EU and NATO membership official national goals by amending its constitution in 2019. It applied to join the bloc in February 2022 and was granted candidate status later that year. Admission requires unanimous consent from all 27 EU member states. While some members voiced objections, Brussels has backed Kiev’s bid. The European Commission suggested Ukraine could join by 2029 if it made sufficient progressin areas such as political and judicial reforms, as well as in combating organized crime and corruption.
In his post, Medvedev proposed two outcomes for Ukraine:“Either the EU itself realizes that it doesn’t need the Kiev quasi-state at all, or, better, there is no state left to join the EU.”

Vice-President Vance and Secretary Hegseth Confront an Incurious, Manipulative and Deceitful Intelligence Community Media Operation
June 25, 2025 | Sundance |
I’m just going to outline this post as it is framed by Vice President JD Vance without anything…
JD Vance – “This is such a revealing clip. The American media is full of the least curious, least insightful people in our country.
To recap, an out of context, “low confidence” and incomplete intelligence report was selectively leaked to the media. The media reported on the findings without any real effort to figure out whether they represent any part of (much less the full) truth. The way the media has presented the report is contradicted by the IAEA, the Iranians themselves, and the administration’s political and defense leadership. More importantly, the media’s reports are contradicted by common sense.
[Vance, cont…] “To summarize: a dozen 30,000-pound bunker busters were dropped on Iran’s main nuclear site. (The other two sites that were targeted suffered heavy damage too). No one disputes they hit their targets. No one disputes the explosive or destructive power of the weapons. No one disputes that a week ago, Iran could have easily assembled a nuclear weapon and now they can’t.
The entire debate–even accepting the press’s dishonest framing–is not about whether Iran can now build a nuke. They can’t. It’s about how much rebuilding the Iranians would have to do in order to achieve a nuclear weapon.
In other words, after a wildly successful military operation with no American casualties, the American media is trying to blame Donald Trump for the existence of facilities that haven’t even been built yet.
(Set to the side Iran’s willingness to rebuild their program. As the President himself said, they now know there are serious consequences for rebuilding. They also learned that we can very easily set their progress back.)
There is actually an interesting story here, if the media was interested in telling it.
• Why are members of the intelligence community leaking incomplete reports against the elected leadership of the country?
• Why have the same reporters who have gotten so much wrong learned so little?
What is the purpose of these leaks–who is behind them, and what are they trying to achieve?
The media won’t investigate that story, though it would be in the public interest to do so.So pay attention to the reporters who are laundering talking points from junior careerists in the intelligence community.
President Trump has obliterated the Iranian nuclear program. The American media seems destined to obliterate their own credibility on this fake story.”(Source)
