Israel = Northern tribe of 10 who were made separate by God from the 12 tribes
Judah = Southern Tribe of David, and Solomon.
Northern tribe got conquered by the Assyrians and basically destroyed.
So the current Jews (derived from Judah), are the ones that remain, and have lineage to David and his son Solomon.
I'm just sayin' who the modern Jews of current Israel descend from.
Well, I hope the Jews accept Christ. There isn't much that separates Jews from Christians. Christians are basically The Old Testament of the Jews + The New Testament of Christ.
I haven't really seen much evidence the Jews are prosecuting Christians since Israel keeps the remnants history of Jesus well-cared for.

There isn't much to interpret in the Bible. It's all written there as is and in your face. God will massacre you if you do certain things, and will show you mercy when you repent and follow the Righteous path. My religion is the Words of God written in His Book, the Old Testament + the New Testament.
