After downloading the data I extracted the records for all causes for the total population. I then calculated the 12 month moving average.

 

Two things that I notice:

1) Whatever the cause may have been there was a definite increase in mortality for the 2020-2021 period which in my mind rules out the "it was just the flu" theory. Something unusual happened in that time period.

2) There is actually an increasing trend in the data from about 2010 onward. Deaths have now returned to that trend line. It would require digging deeper into the data to find out where that increasing trend is coming from, but it is interesting that it is so clear and started so early.

 

Sharing this in case someone finds it of interest. Note that 2024-2025 deaths are "provisional", but I don't think that would change the all cause figures much..

"French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron on Wednesday filed a defamation lawsuit against conservative podcast host Candace Owens, after she claimed France's first lady was actually born a man.

 

The 22-count lawsuit, filed in Delaware, does not specify a damages amount, but comes after Owens reportedly claimed Brigitte Macron was born male, stole someone's identity and transitioned to a woman. The Macrons have strongly denied the accusations and demanded Owens retract the statements, which were reportedly denied.

 

The couple said they decided to take legal action after Owens doubled down on the accusations, which they claimed were "outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions." The comments were part of Owens' eight-part series on the couple.

 

"These claims are demonstrably false, and Owens knew they were false when she published them," the lawsuit states. "Yet, she published them anyway. And the reason is clear: it is not the pursuit of truth, but the pursuit of fame."

"A House subcommittee on Wednesday passed a motion to issue subpoenas to former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over their connection with former Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

House Republicans are expected to create a long-awaited select subcommittee that will investigate the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot when lawmakers return from the August recess in September, sources told The Hill on Wednesday.

 

Georgia GOP Rep. Barry Loudermilk will lead the new select committee, which is expected to focus specifically on the riot and will be part of the House Judiciary Committee. Loudermilk also led the previous investigation into the Democratic-led select committee in the last Congress.

 

House Speaker Mike Johnson first announced plans to establish the new committee in January, promising to deliver answers for Americans that were overlooked by Democrats on the initial panel.

 

The plans come after House Republicans filed a resolution on Wednesday to create the subcommittee. It had been delayed over questions on how it would be funded and what it would be authorized to investigate, the outlet reported.

 

“House Republicans are proud of our work so far in exposing the false narratives peddled by the politically motivated January 6 Select Committee during the 117th Congress, but there is clearly more work to be done,” Johnson told the outlet. “The resolution introduced today will establish this Select Subcommittee so we can continue our efforts to uncover the full truth that is owed to the American people. "Dunham’s boss atUSAID in Indonesia, Dr. Donald Gordon Jr., author of Credit for Small Farmers in Developing Countries for USAID (1976), was identified in Julius Mader’s 1968 book, Who Who’s in the CIA, as a CIA agent.9

Another boss, Peter Geithner, was future Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s father.

Ann obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in anthropology at the University of Hawaii, writing a thesis which argued that Indonesian villagers were dynamic and could produce greater wealth if they had access to market incentives and capital.

Ann went to Indonesia in the mid 1960s at the time that the CIA supported a military coup led by General Suharto against the left-wing regime of Sukarno.

Over two million suspected members of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) were rounded up and massacred in its aftermath and thousands more were imprisoned—many for decades.

Much of Ann’s anthropological and consulting field work was carried out in East and Central Java, which provided a hotbed of support for the PKI—including among members of the Javanese women’s association and labor federation.

The CIA at this time employed anthropologists and development workers as undercover agents to gather information on villagers’ political affiliations, in which Ann, according to her thesis adviser, Alice Dewey, had taken an interest."

 

"In March 1965, Ann married an Indonesian Lieutenant Colonel, Lolo Soetoro, whom she met at the University of Hawaii’s East-West Center, a “kinder, gentler version of the School of the Americas,” according to one writer, and “cover for a training program in which Southeast Asians were brought to Hawaii and trained to go back to create agent nets,” as U.S. Information Service (USIS) Director Frank Scotten described it.

The head of the East-West Center in 1965 was Howard P. Jones, U.S. ambassador to Indonesia from 1958 to 1965.10

Jones was present in Jakarta as Suharto and his CIA-backed military officers planned the 1965 overthrow of Sukarno, who was seen, along with the PKI as an ally of China.

Jones later defended the coup in The Washington Post, writing that Suharto was merely responding to a communist coup against Sukarno led by Colonel Untung—which was actually set up by the CIA.11

A friend of Ann’s told her biographer that the marriage to Lolo was arranged, suggesting that Ann may have acted as a female “honeypot” for the CIA whose job was to recruit assets and help them obtain U.S. citizenship.

Hailing from an aristocratic family which lost out in Sukarno’s land reform, Soetoro was recalled to active duty in July 1965 before General Suharto’s right-wing coup and worked as an army geographer in Java and Papua New Guinea, where the Indonesian army brutally suppressed popular revolts.

Soetoro went on to become an executive at Mobil Oil and its liaison to Suharto, whose economic policies Dunham praised."

Another photo featured his daughter Ann, with the insignia of an elite school in Lebanon on her shirt in the 1950s, where Stanley may have worked with the CIA or another U.S. government agency.

In the early 1960s, Stanley Dunham was part of a group photo taken with Barack Obama, Sr., on his departure from the University of Hawaii.

Obama Sr. had been part of a State Department/CIA exchange financed in part by the Joseph P. Kennedy Foundation that brought future African leaders to the U.S. who were being groomed to serve U.S. interests in the Cold War.

The photo would suggest that Dunham was one of the coordinators of the exchange, indicating work for the State Department or CIA.

Jeffrey Epstein’s newly-revealed private calendar showed scheduled meetings with the current CIA director, a college president and attorney who served in the Obama administration, according to a report published Sunday.

 

New documents, which belonged to the rich convicted pedophile and were obtained by The Wall Street Journal, showed planned meetings with a slew of prominent individuals, including now-CIA Director William Burns, Bard College president Leon Botstein, Obama White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler and professor Noam Chomsky.

 

All the scheduled meetings were slated to take place after Epstein was jailed in 2008 on charges of solicitation, including soliciting a minor. WSJ could not prove each scheduled meeting actually took place, and the documents did not reveal the purpose for the meetings.

 

A spokesperson for Burns, who has taken the CIA’s helm since 2021 under the Biden administration, said the nation’s spy chief met with Epstein a decade ago when he was trying to leave the government.

 

"Director Burns recalls being introduced by a mutual friend in Washington, DC, and then met with him once briefly in New York City, about a decade ago as the Director was preparing to leave government service," CIA spokeswoman Tammy Kupperman Thorp said in comment provided to Fox News Digital.

 

"The Director did not know anything about him, other than he was introduced as an expert in the financial services sector and offered general advice on transition to the private sector. The Director does not recall any further contact, including receiving a ride to the airport. They had no relationship."

 

Ruemmler had dozens of meetings with Epstein following her work for the Obama administration and before taking the reins as Goldman Sachs' top lawyer in 2020, according to WSJ. The documents show Epstein was planning on Ruemmler joining him for a trip to Paris in 2015 and another visit to his private island in the Caribbean in 2017.

 

A Goldman Sachs rep told the outlet that Ruemmler had a working relationship with Epstein when she was employed at law firm Latham & Watkins LLP, but did not travel with Epstein. The spokesperson said Epstein introduced Ruemmler to potential legal clients, such as Bill Gates.

 

"Many of Ms. Ruemmler's contacts related to a potential representation involving the Gates Foundation, a representation of the Edmond de Rothschild bank, and other business opportunities," a Goldman Sachs spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Sunday.

"I regret ever knowing Jeffrey Epstein," Ruemmler said, according to WSJ.

 

The Journal reported that the majority of people they spoke to said they met with Epstein for donations or to make powerful connections. Botstein, who has served as Bard College’s president since 1975, said he met with Epstein to try to get him to donate to the liberal arts school.

 

"I was an unsuccessful fundraiser and actually the object of a little bit of sadism on his part in dangling philanthropic support," Botstein told the outlet. "That was my relationship with him."

 

Other prominent figures on the documents included:

Ariane de Rothschild, chief executive of the Swiss private bank Edmond de Rothschild Group; Joshua Cooper Ramo, who at the time served on the boards of Starbucks Corp. and FedEx Corp; former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak; Harvard University professor Martin Nowak; and anthropologist Helen Fisher.

The real problem here, is that most have no clue what it takes to build real world applications that have any form of novelty in a technological world which is mainly just other people standing on the shoulders of giants. Anyone can program with a little bit of effort, but to build something is terse, with novelty, that solves real existing problems in only for those that have gone way down many of those roads before. Here is an example: React by Facebook is the number one JavaScript framework probably for the last 10 years or so. They have a template that can bootstrap an application that creates a lot of boilerplate code that can get someone up and running with little effort so that they can address the business problems. When they go to deploy, they wonder why their application is slow not realizing that that template put about 4,500 little libraries into their codebase. Was anything really solved or just just the perception of a problem solved. They then have to either go back and rework the code base or hire better programmers. We let Wall street Banksters take a whole industry from the United States, by stealing our IP, and selling us off to the highest bidder already. Amazon was made to be the 800lb gorilla by Wall street cronyism back when the Internet was just starting to use graphics. They planned on dominating the whole industry by pushing the narrative of the cloud to remove most of our network engineering and devs when the industry was just in its infancy. Does anyone remember how JavaScript was only developed for 10 days to combat MS JScript for the dominant browser language? Then for nearly 20 years JavaScript just sat idle with no innovations because it wasn't about innovation but cornering a market. We still have a very big problem here.

New York’s city and state governments have given more than $600 million of taxpayer money to legal and immigrant-advocacy groups fighting President Trump’s immigration agenda. They are fighting against providing ICE with information, as well as turning over or deporting illegal immigrants.

The Bronx Defenders legal organization has received more than $500 million in city contracts since fiscal year 2018 to provide legal services to migrants. The New York Immigration Coalition received $46 million in taxpayer money. Other groups, such as Make the Road NY, have received tens of millions of dollars in contracts as well.

According to The Wall Street Journal, US Attorney General Pam Bondi told President Trump in May that he is mentioned in the Epstein files.

 

However, Bondi said the information about the several people who appeared in the Epstein files is “unverified hearsay.”

A federal appeals court will allow President Donald Trump to continue to block news outlets from covering him in “restricted” spaces such as the Oval Office and Air Force One based on their editorial decisions.

 

In a one-page order on Tuesday, the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit left in place an earlier decision that let White House officials exclude the Associated Press from a rotating pool of reporters and photographers who cover the president’s daily movements while an underlying legal fight goes forward.

 

The latest decision from the Washington-based court, which has a majority of active judges appointed by Democratic presidents, is a win for Trump and senior aides who have sought to exert more control over the media organizations that have access to him.

 

The AP could ask the US Supreme Court to step in. None of the DC Circuit’s 11 active judges noted a dissent from Tuesday’s order siding with the government at this stage, suggesting AP would face steep odds of success before the conservative-majority high court.

 

The news agency sued the Trump administration in February after the White House press office started limiting the access of AP reporters and photographers. The administration said it was blocking the wire service because its widely-adopted style guide continued to use the term “Gulf of Mexico” with a reference to Trump’s executive order renaming the body of water as the “Gulf of America.”

 

A federal district judge in Washington ordered the White House to restore the AP’s position in the press pool in April, but two months later, a three-judge panel of the DC Circuit sided with the Trump administration and largely halted the lower court order. The panel did leave in place part of the original order that required the AP to still have access to the East Room in the White House, which was usually open to a broader group of reporters.

 

The AP had asked that all of the circuit’s active judges reconsider the panel’s decision.

 

The case is Associated Press v. Budowich, 25-5109, DC Circuit Court of Appeals (Washington).

Oversight Subcommittee Votes to Subpoena DOJ for Epstein Files

 

A House Oversight subcommittee voted Wednesday to subpoena the Department of Justice to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein. House Oversight Chair James Comer will be required to sign the subpoena before it can officially be issued, according to committee rules.

 

The motion to subpoena the Trump DOJ for all records related to the Epstein investigation passed, 8-2.

 

GOP Reps. Nancy Mace, Scott Perry and Brian Jack joined with the subpanel’s four Democrats and the full committee’s ranking member Robert Garcia to approve the subpoena in a defiant move of House GOP leadership that wanted to leave the handling of the Epstein files to the Trump administration.

 

Rep. Summer Lee, the subcommittee’s top Democrat, had offered the motion.

 

Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) will have to sign off on the subpoena to make it official.

A House panel Wednesday voted in favor of subpoenaing former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

 

Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., offered a motion during a House Oversight Committee subcommittee hearing to call on Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., to subpoena people with possible links to Ghislaine Maxwell, the imprisoned former associate of late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

New landmark study reveals that standard cancer treatment can backfire — with devastating consequences.

 

Chemotherapy is supposed to kill cancer — not bring it back. But a groundbreaking Cancer Cell study by He et al has revealed that common cancer drugs like doxorubicin and cisplatin can reawaken dormant tumor cells, triggering deadly metastatic relapses — especially in the lungs.

 

These “sleeping” cancer cells, known as disseminated tumor cells (DTCs), can lie hidden for years before reactivating. This study is the first to directly prove that chemotherapy itself can wake them up.

 

Chemotherapy Reactivates Dormant Cancer Cells

 

Using DormTracer, the team showed that chemo-treated mice had a surge of previously dormant cancer cells re-entering the cell cycle.

 

These reawakened cells formed aggressive lung metastases weeks after chemo — even in cases where the primary tumor was gone.

 

This effect was specific to dormant cells; chemo suppressed active tumors but inadvertently activated the sleeping ones.

 

Neutrophil Extracellular Traps (NETs) Are the Trigger

 

Chemotherapy didn't just hit cancer cells — it also caused fibroblasts in the lung to enter a state called senescence (biological aging).

 

These senescent cells released pro-inflammatory signals that activated neutrophils — a type of white blood cell.

 

The neutrophils formed NETs — sticky webs of DNA and enzymes like MMP9 and neutrophil elastase — which remodeled the lung microenvironment and directly triggered dormant DTCs to awaken.

 

SASP Proteins (C3, MIF, CXCL1) Drive This Chain Reaction

 

The senescent fibroblasts released a toxic cocktail known as SASP (senescence-associated secretory phenotype).

 

Three key factors — Complement C3, Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor (MIF), and CXCL1 — were identified as major drivers of NET formation.

 

Mice engineered to lack C3 had far less NET activity and lower rates of metastasis after chemo.

 

Blocking NETs or Clearing Senescent Cells Prevents Relapse

 

Administering DNase I (which breaks up NETs) or GSK484 (a PAD4 inhibitor that blocks NET formation) completely prevented chemo-triggered metastasis in mice.

 

Giving Dasatinib + Quercetin (a senolytic combo) cleared out the senescent fibroblasts and shut down the entire cascade — resulting in both primary tumor control and no relapse.

 

Importantly, this combination didn’t reduce chemo’s effectiveness at shrinking the primary tumor.

 

The Mechanism Was Confirmed in Humans

 

In breast cancer patients, lung metastases had higher NET density and elevated C3, MIF, and CXCL1 levels after chemotherapy.

 

Blood samples showed C3 and MIF spiked after treatment — especially in patients who later developed lung relapse.

 

These markers could become predictive biomarkers for relapse risk in future screening.

Can someone find the 2022 post from the Super Recognizer Anon who discovered that Madison Mogen is actually a grown up Madeline McCann, with the keyhole pupil match?
