At least 11 people were stabbed in a targeted mass stabbing attack at a Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan on Saturday night.

 

The carnage began shortly after 5 p.m. when the alleged attacker began randomly stabbing shoppers in various sections throughout the store in Traverse City, located about 255 miles northwest of Detroit. “The whole store started screaming and running,” employee Tasha Nash told Channel2 Now.

 

“There was a guy with a knife — he stabbed six people. I saw someone stabbed in the eye,” she added.

 

The assailant was reportedly taken down by a pair of brave bystanders before authorities arrived and took him into custody, according to witnesses from the scene and the Michigan State Police. Photos from Channel 2 Now show the suspect being loaded into a Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office vehicle after the attack. ..
