"Jeus left after his resurrection for several interconnected theological reasons. Primarily, his departure was necessary for the Holy Spirit to come and fulfill a vital role in the Christian mission. Jesus explicitly stated in John 16 that it was to the disciples' advantage that he go away, because if he did not, the Helper (the Holy Spirit) would not come to them. His ascension allowed the Holy Spirit to be sent, who would guide, empower, and convict the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment.

Furthermore, Jesus' departure was essential to establish the foundation of faith. His physical presence would have provided undeniable proof, leaving no room for belief without seeing. By leaving, he created the opportunity for people to believe in him based on the testimony of others and the Word of God, which is the essence of faith. As Jesus told Thomas, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed".

This act of leaving ensures that faith remains a central virtue, not merely a response to physical evidence.

Jesus also left to complete his mission on earth, which included his ascension to the right hand of God the Father, where he now reigns and intercedes for believers.

His departure was not a failure but a fulfillment of God's plan, preparing a place for humanity and sending the Holy Spirit to continue his work through the Church, empowering believers to spread the Gospel to all nations."
