On the morning of September 11th, 2001 a Chinese Submarine positioned 200 miles SE of Washington DC awaited confirmation that two jetliners had, in fact, hit the World Trade Center in NYC. Once the attacks in NYC were confirmed, two Hong Niao HN-1 cruise missiles were launched for targets in Washington DC. One made it to it's target. The other was either jammed or malfunctioned. Defaulting to straight and level flight before running out of fuel over a field near Shanksville, PA.
