Well, artificial as in we are trying to mimic our own intelligence into a super intelligence. Same way you call it an artificial sweetener because it was made in a lab. You are the one getting caught up in words.
Mimicking consciousness is different though. Intelligence and logic is basically just: if this then that. Conciousness is: fuck this shit i'mma do something else, and then you break the nested loop and go crazy for a while until you nest into another loop.
