I can't help but dream that we are ahead of things like this and have dug up their bombs and planted them under those that created them. When they set them off to destroy us, they destroy themselves.
They don't want to admit they are worthless to society. When SHTF, just how useful is a white collar worker?
I disagree on their importance. What good is a banker or investment broker or philanthropist when it's all said and done. Even a politician will talk you to death before he lifts a finger to help.
Blame the merchants. They started it all. They cared about nothing but transporting their product from low demand to high demand. They got a commission for every sale without lifting a finger.
Still the Merchants. The middleman.
