Trump threatens Ukraine with sanctions and tariffs

Russia will not be the only one to face restrictions if no progress in settling the conflict is made, the US president has warned

Washington could impose sanctions and tariffs on both Russia and Ukraine if the two adversaries fail to make progress in settling hostilities, US President Donald Trump has said.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Tuesday, Trump said that it “takes two to tango,” and suggested that Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky “was not exactly innocent.”

“Thousands of young people, mostly young people, are dying every single week. If I can save that, by doing sanctions or by just being me, or by using a very strong tariff system that’s very costly to Russia or Ukraine or whoever we have,” Trump stated.

He also reiterated his readiness to slap new restrictions on Moscow. “We want to have an end. We have economic sanctions. I’m talking about economic because we’re not going to get into a world war,” he said.

Trump criticized his predecessor, Joe Biden, calling him “grossly incompetent” for allowing the Russia-Ukraine conflict to happen in the first place.

“Nobody goes into a war thinking they’re going to lose. They go in – I’m sure that Ukraine thought they were going to win. It’s going to be, you know, we’re going to win. You’re going to beat somebody that’s 15 times your size. Biden shouldn’t have let that happen,” Trump stated.

The US president also appeared to dismiss Moscow’s concerns about the Zelensky's legitimacy.

“Doesn’t matter what they say. Everybody’s posturing. It’s all bullsh*t, ok? Everybody’s posturing,” Trump told reporters.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reiterated Moscow’s stance in an interview with NBC aired on Sunday, calling Zelensky the “de facto head of the regime,” and stressed the person signing any peace deal must have legal authority to do so.

Attorney General Pam Bondi is seeking to dismiss a $100 million lawsuit filed by the Proud Boys over the political persecution they suffered in the wake of the January 6th protests.

In a court submission on Monday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed, stating that “the malicious prosecution claim lacks merit; and the United States is not liable for punitive damages.”

The filing undercuts the argument long supported by the Trump administration that those who were imprisoned following the January 6th attacks were the victims of political persecution.

The suit was filed in June by Enrique Tarrio, the former Proud Boys leader, along with Joseph Biggs, Ethan Nordean, Zachary Rehl, and Dominic Pezzola.

Their lawsuit argues that their prosecutions were “an egregious and systemic abuse of the legal system and the United States Constitution to punish and oppress political allies of President Trump, by any and all means necessary, legal, or illegal.”

Despite President Trump’s decision to offer an unconditional pardon to all involved, it appears that Pam Bondi and the Justice Department do not agree that they were victims of the Biden regime.

The Gateway Pundit was one of a few media outlets that led the way in reporting on the extensive abuse and even torture of January 6th protesters and their families, which was carried out in a systematic campaign of political persecution by Joe Biden and his Democratic allies in the Department of Justice.

Of course, this ruling comes as a shock to those who followed the Proud Boys “trial of the century” coverage at The Gateway Pundit.

The US Government set up the Proud Boys with bogus charges, used a witness who lied numerous times under oath to save his skin, and the feds even planted evidence in the Proud Boys’ social media hangout!

“It defies ‘judicial experience and common sense’ to believe that Plaintiffs cannot make more specific allegations at this stage about what evidence was false, fabricated, or wrongfully withheld as part of their prosecution,” they wrote.

The DOJ also emphasized that a federal court had already reviewed the charges at detention hearings and determined that the “weight of the evidence is strong.”

Prosecutors pointed to “incontrovertible photo evidence of Nordean, Biggs, and Rehl inside the Capitol building,” material used “to support their arrests and detentions.”

“And while Tarrio was not at the Capitol on that day and the district court found there was no ‘smoking gun,’ the court considered Tarrio’s contrary arguments and still found the evidence of his involvement in a seditious conspiracy to be ‘very strong.’”

It will now be up to a federal judge to determine whether the lawsuit can move forward.

In 1970, biggest epidemiological study in history was done in Wisconsin. They looked at 900,000 children. They were looking for autism, what it looked like. And they were very, very precise about it and found an incident rate of 0.7. In other words, less than 1 for every 10 thousand children. Today, our most recent numbers are one in every 31 kids. It's probably actually much worse than that because California, which has the best collection system, is reporting one out of 19 American children as autism. One in 12.5 boys. So it's gone, from less than one in 10,000 in 1970 to one in 12.5 boys.

Think of those numbers. So there has to be something artificially causing this, meaning a drug or something. And I know you're looking very strongly at different things, but I hope that you can come out with that as soon as possible.

Crime boss Kazem 'Kaz' Hamad suspected of being behind anti-Semitic attack in Australia on the orders of Iran

A crime boss involved in Victoria’s tobacco war is suspected of conspiring with Iranian spies to carry out the firebombing of a synagogue, leading to Australia to sever diplomatic ties with the Islamic regime.

On Tuesday, Anthony Albanese said ASIO had discovered that Iran was behind two 'extraordinary and dangerous acts of aggression' on Australian soil: the Adass Israel Synagogue firebombing in Melbourne on December 6 last year, and the Lewis Continental Kitchen arson in Sydney's Bondi Beach two months earlier.

'ASIO assesses it's likely Iran directed further attacks as well. These were extraordinary and dangerous acts of aggression orchestrated by a foreign nation on Australian soil,' the Prime Minister told reporters.

Albanese revealed that Iran's ambassador, Ahmad Sadeghi, had been expelled, while operations at Australia's embassy in Tehran had been suspended.

The government has also listed Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organisation.

Now it has emerged that authorities suspect illicit tobacco boss Kazem ‘Kaz’ Hamad was behind the synagogue firebombing in a big to curry favour with the Iranian regime, according to Nine Newspapers.

Hamad, who was deported to Iraq in 2023 after serving an eight year sentence for drug trafficking.

From his foreign base he is suspected of profiting from the illegal tobacco trade in Victoria by allegedly ordering dozens of firebombings and some gangland hits.

The AFR reported that ASIO agents identified Hamad as a suspect in several anti-Semitic firebombings after the same stolen blue Volkswagen Golf was used in an arson attack and a shooting, both linked to the illegal tobacco trade.

It remains unclear how ASIO were able to determine that Hamad was acting on the orders of the IRGC.

'ASIO is still investigating possible Iranian involvement in a number of other attacks, but I want to stress we do not believe the regime is responsible for every act of antisemitism in Australia,' ASIO Director-General Mike Burgess said on Tuesday.

'It goes without saying that Iran’s actions are unacceptable. They put lives at risk, they terrified the community, and they tore at our social fabric.

'Iran and its proxies literally and figuratively lit the matches and fanned the flames.'

Burgess explained that there isn't a direct line between IRGC and those accused of carrying out the anti-Semitic attacks on Australian soil.

Instead, it operates like a 'layer cake' of intermediaries and cut-outs.

'In between them, they tap into a number of people, agents of IRGC, and people that they know in the criminal world, and work through there, so it's a series of chains,' Burgess added.

'They're just using cut-outs, including people who are criminal and members of organised crime gangs to do their bidding or direct their bidding.'

The IRGC answers directly to the Supreme Leader and operates as both a military and political force.
