The dark secret of Zelensky’s Ukraine behind the assassination of one of its founders

Kiev will blame Russia for the murder of Maidan commandant Andrey Parubiy – but everyone knows the killers are much closer to home

All of Ukraine’s political elite will loudly point to Moscow as the hand behind the murder of former parliamentary speaker Andrey Parubiy. They will cry out in public that Russia is to blame, repeating the same narrative of the “Russian trace.”But in private, they all know the truth: it was his own people that came for him.

The idea that Parubiy was eliminated by the authorities themselves, while sounding outrageous to some, is a version that carries weight, even if many prefer not to believe it.Why? Because Parubiy was one of the few men in Ukraine who truly knew how to build a Maidan. He had organized the barricades in 2014, commanded the Maidan “self-defense,” and knew every method of bringing people into the streets and holding them there against state power. His reputation came from exactly this talent. And in today’s Ukraine, the possibility of another Maidan is very real. For those in power, such a possibility is dangerous, and removing the man who could light the match makes a grim kind of sense.

But there is another explanation, one far darker and one in which almost everyone believes, even if few Ukrainians will say so out loud. Parubiy carried too many secrets – and in Ukraine, secrets can be fatal. He knew far too much about the =real shooters on the Maidan in February 2014. As “commandant,” he oversaw the units who guarded the square, and he was positioned to see what others could not. He knew what really happened when the snipers opened fire==, when the bloodbath claimed lives and forced Yanukovich to flee. He knew names, structures, and the chain of command. That knowledge made him dangerous.

He also knew the truth about Odessa, May 2, 2014 – the day the Trade Union House went up in flames and dozens of anti-Maidan activists died. International monitors called it a massacre, but the state buried accountability. Parubiy, as head of the National Security and Defense Council at the time, was in the middle of it all. He saw who gave the orders, who turned away, who allowed the fire to consume the building. Those responsible never faced justice, and Parubiy carried the story inside his head.

He knew the full picture of the early days in Donbass, when provocations, manipulations, and engineered violence pushed Ukraine into a war against its own people. He knew the true sponsors and curators. He knew which political figures, which structures, which financial backers prepared and paid for the bloody upheaval. All of this knowledge made him a threat not to Russia, but to those much closer: the networks who had built their power in those years and who now sit on fragile foundations.

For them, Parubiy,– a close ally of former President Pyotr Poroshenko, beaten by Vladimir Zelensky in 2019 – was no longer an asset. He was a liability. And in the brutal logic of power, liabilities are erased. This is why his assassination looks less like an act of foreign aggressionand more like an act of internal housecleaning. It was a calculated decision to tidy up loose ends, to remove a man who could, at any moment, destabilize the whole system by speaking truths that were never meant to surface. His silence was demanded, and silence was achieved.

So while the official story will continue to speak of Russian agents, of another “terrorist act” in Moscow’s hybrid war, many in Kiev understand otherwise. They know Parubiy was not struck down by outsiders but by insiders. They know it was not the Kremlin's revenge for 2014 but Ukraine’s own structures, its own power brokers deciding that one of its founding fathers had become excess baggage.

In this sense, his death is a signal to others: no one is safe, and no secret is too old to kill for.

https://www.rt.com/russia/623767-dark-secret-parubiy-assassination/

The weird thing is, the first thought I got yesterday when I read the article, was Zelensky and others killed him. He knew too much and Zelensky is hanging on the edge of keeping leadership. If Z could get rid of those who know everything he’s done, the people can’t kick him out in a heart beat.

But Zelensky is going to accelerate the warto stay in power for as long as he can, and longer if he creates more wars. Yep it was Zelensky and the Oligarchs that don’t want to lose the great gig== of stealing billions of dollars from the EU, US and others.

And they could give a fuck about their young soldiers dying in the war, meanwhile Zelensky and Kiev along the EU, know they can’t win; but they will do anything to prolong the war. And they certainly don’t care about killing Russia’s young soldiers.

These guys are literally insane and Satanic!continued…

2/2cont from RT article

==For Justice=

I suspectPDJT has teams of people tracking all the US money stolen and deposited around the world, by Zelensky and Team, the EU Leaders, the Bidan Family, other countries, US Congress and Senators etc.

The first one that should be arrested is Lindsey Graham for planning the war, egged it on, and who stole US money and assets, from Ukraine and the EU, and other terrorist countries.

They should have known, Trump and US citizens are angry this fake war ever started, and they stole American people’s money, that was needed so they could have survive. It’s totally evil to fleece America for this fake war, not only that, it’s crimes of treason.

Not only that but Zelensky, Ukraine leaders, EU leaders led 1 million+ poor Ukrainians to their death and destruction for nothing, in fighting a war they started. They destroyed and sold the land of Ukraine to corporate oligarchs, they are trying to destroy the orthodox Russian Church and sending priests to jail. Killed ethnic Russians that are legal citizens in Ukraine, etc etc etc.

Soon it will be panic time in Ukraine, EU, DC and many nationsaround the world, that went along with this evil genocide and plan for creating a World War to destroy Russia and the United States of America.l

The whole story when told will be the biggest betrayal of the USoA that has ever happened, the history will be written down for history so it never happens in America again. There are 1,000s collaborators around the world that planned, participated and launched it.A truly world wide conspiracy against the United States of America and Russia, that could have destroyed the world.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Discusses Upcoming ICE Operations Targeting Chicago

August 31, 2025 | Sundance |

Dept of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem appears on CBS Face the Nation to discuss ongoing efforts to remove illegal aliens from our nation. The conversation starts with CBS Ed O’Keefe asking about upcoming ICE efforts scheduled to take place in Chicago.

When Ed O’Keefe begins discussing FEMA and the Noem initiative to control costs, he makes the mistake of asking Secretary Noem if she could give him an example of cost cutting. O’Keefe immediately regrets the question as Secretary Noem begins outlining examples of waste fraud and abuse in FEMA spending. The video and transcript are below. WATCH:

Full interview | Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem16:40

https://youtu.be/KakiN2NJBXk

••Partial Transcript== – We begin today with Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, who’s joining us from Florida.

Madam Secretary, thanks for being with us.

KRISTI NOEM (U.S. Homeland Security Secretary): Absolutely, Ed. Thank you for inviting me.

ED O’KEEFE: Yes. Well, we have a lot to discuss.

And we want to start with this, because we’ve learned that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is planning on expanding operations in the coming days to Chicago. When are those operations expected to start? And you said in recent days that you’re using the recent deployments in Los Angeles as a model. What does that mean?

SECRETARY KRISTI NOEM: Well, we’ve already had ongoing operations with ICE in Chicago and throughout Illinois and other states, making sure that we’re upholding our laws.

But we do intend to add more resources to those operations. I won’t disclose the details because they are law enforcement and investigative folks that are on the ground there, and I want to make sure we keep their security our number one priority.

But we will continue to go after the worst of the worst across the country, like President Trump has told us to do, focusing on those that are perpetuating murder and rape and trafficking of drugs and humans across our country, knowing that every single citizen deserves to be safe.

ED O’KEEFE: Part of what distinguished the Los Angeles operations, however, is that National Guard troops were there, in essence, protecting or backing up those federal agents as they conducted operations.

Is that what we should expect to see in Chicago?

SECRETARY KRISTI NOEM: You know, that always is a prerogative of President Trump and his decision. I won’t speak to the specifics of the operations that are planned in other cities, but I do know that L.A. wouldn’t be standing today if President Trump hadn’t taken action.

And that city would have burned down if left to the devices of the mayor and the governor of that state. And so the citizens who live there, the small business owners in downtown L.A., they’re thankful that President Trump came in with federal law enforcement officers and helped support keeping those streets open, keep their homes and businesses from burning down, and made sure the law and order was restored.

ED O’KEEFE: I just want to clarify one thing you said there. You said L.A. wouldn’t be standing if not for these federal deployments?

SECRETARY KRISTI NOEM: So many of those homes and businesses that were in downtown L.A. and in those areas were dealing with riots and violence. And coming in and bringing those federal law enforcement officers in was incredibly important to keeping peace.

And so we are grateful that President Trump was willing to send resources and people in, in order to enforce the law. And, Ed, since then, we have arrested 5,000 dangerous illegal criminals out of L.A. and removed them from our country and had them face justice for their crimes.

ED O’KEEFE: So, as you know, we spoke with Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker about all this. And I asked him what he’d say to you about these forthcoming plans. Let’s play that and let you respond after

Pritzker dialogue:

ED O’KEEFE: If she were to call you, what would you say? What’s your message to her?

GOVERNOR J.B. PRITZKER (D-Illinois): Well, I tell her that what she’s doing is inflaming passions and causing disruption that doesn’t need to be caused…

CNN’s Brianna Keilar interviewed (prior) Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States Sebastian Gorka about the recent shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school during an episode of CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday

As CNN attempts to conflate statistics, Gorka drills the dataset down to school shootings targeting religious schools and children as victims.Within the specific dataset, there is an ideological component to the targeting. WATCH:

what a bitch and liar. if she was educated she should have known Gorka is a 1000x more educated on gun threats and terrorism. He’s the expert on it as the advisor of dealing with terrorists around the world for the U.S. Gov. He knows the makeup of these people and it comes down to ideology. That’s what children are being taught

She is accusing the Gov of being against trans people which was not the case, it’s about juiced up and dangerous sex changing drugged out children to turn them trans, that confuses their brains going nuts. These drugs are not safe and children being conned to go trans is the problem.

Have there ever been a somewhat normal trans, not taking drugs, kill children. It’s the drugs cnn. Yes Trans are perverts they don’t kill children they seduce them if they are sick.

I blame it on the parents or teachers that convince children they should be trans, that’s the majority creating trans in children. Look at the books they give 4 years old in kindergarten

Someone Killed Andriy Parubiy – Victoria Nuland’s Former Point of Contact During 2014 Ukraine Maidan Revolution 1/2

August 31, 2025 | Sundance |

Previously Chairman, now serving as a member of the Ukrainian Parliament, Andriy Parubiy was shot several times with a short-barreled firearm, police said. Parubiy died on the spot. The perpetrator, who fled the scene and has not yet been identified, was “thoroughly prepared” according to local authorities.

Andriy Parubiy was the primary Ukrainian political activistduring Victoria Nuland’s organized Maidan revolution. In common parlance, this assassination might be consideredthrowing a bag over a potential risk. Remember, CNN is to the State Dept as the Washington Post is to the CIA.

(VIA CNN) – […]Parubiy participated in 2004’s Orange Revolution, where hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians joined in peaceful protest following disputed elections.

He was also a prominent figure in the Maidan Revolution, a movement which began in November 2013 after then-President Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign a trade pact with the European Union that had been years in the making, opting instead for closer ties with neighboring Russia.

During the revolution, which lasted three months, Parubiy was the head of an enormous tent city established by thousands of protesters in Kyiv’s central Independence Square, known as the Maidan.

He was later the secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council during 2014.

In 2019, Parubiy signed a bill to make the use of the Ukrainian language mandatory in certain public sectors, calling it a “historic day.” (read more)

Long ago, theopposition elements in eastern Ukraine labeled Parubiy a ‘nazi’and accused him of working in collaboration with U.S. intelligence (CIA).

Andriy Parubiy knew a lot about western intelligence operations in Ukraine.

Andriy Parubiy is dead now.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy knows a lot about western intelligenceoperations in Ukraine.

12 secret CIA spy bases built in Ukraine before Russian invasion 2/2

Thomas StevensonFeb 26, 2024

For more than a decade, the US has used Ukraine in an intelligence gathering operation.

The United States has built up "12 secret locations" for the better part of the last decade to gather intelligence along the Russian border. These were apparently funded by the CIA. The Times notes that if the US does not provide additional funds for Ukraine's war effort, these intelligence gathering operations could be at risk.

According to a report from the New York Times, over the past eight years, the CIA has consrutcted a network of what the outlet called, "secret locations," along the Russian border with Ukraine toturn the country into an "intelligence-gathering hub" for the United States.

CIA director William Burns was recently in Ukraine to give assurances as to America's commitment to the region, in which they have been involved since prior to Russia's invastion of the Crimea in 2014.John Brennan, who was CIA director at the time, visited Ukraine as that conflict unfolded. He told officials"that the C.I.A. was interested in developing a relationshipbut only at a pace the agency was comfortable with, according to U.S. and Ukrainian officials."

The outlet conducted over 200 interviews with officials in the United States, Ukraine, and Euorpe to disclose the information about the secret operation to the public for the first time. The Times reports thatthe CIA has given intelligence to Ukraine for "targeted missile strikes, track Russian troop movements and help support spy networks."

Yet this network of bases has been underway for over a decade. "It took root a decade ago," the Times reports, "coming together in fits and starts under three very different U.S. presidents, pushed forward by key individuals who often took daring risks.

It has transformed Ukraine, whose intelligence agencies were long seen as thoroughly compromised by Russia, into one of Washington’s most important intelligence partners against the Kremlin today."

These include a listening post in the forest as well as 12 locations that are kept secretbut are along the Russian border. The bases had been in use by Ukrainian officials and the intel they gathered would be passed on to the US.The CIA used their operations in Ukraine to train "an elite Ukrainian commando force," and then worked to "reverse-engineer" captured Russian technology.

CIA operatives even remained in Ukrainewhen the Biden administration evacuated other officials. Those CIA agents continued to work with Ukraine to fend off Russian troops.

These networks are still in place and are used to aid Ukraine in their war effort.(confirmed CIA is cleaning up and pulling out of Ukraine. Directly tied to article above.)

During the two-year-old Russia-Ukraine war, these hubs from the CIA have served as places to gather intelligence for the United States on the status of the war and how to address it. The alliance was formed as a result of Russian President Vladimir Putin being a common adversary.

Lawfare Operative Norm Eisen Is Lawyer for Embattled Fed Governor Lisa Cook

August 30, 2025 | Sundance |

I had not been paying close attention to the overarching issues of President Trump removing Fed Governor Lisa Cook for cause – fraudulent filings on her three mortgage applications. However, the appearance of Norm Eisen as her lawyer certainly highlights the political nature of the defense effort.

Norm Eisen is a well-known Lawfare operative, second only to Mary McCord in his high visibility and connections to all of the anti-Trump efforts. Eisen, like McCord, is at the center of the leftist effort to stop the Trump agenda through the manipulation of the courts, ie. ‘Lawfare.’

Norm Eisen left, Abbe Lowell right. Both lawyers for Lisa Cook

WASHINGTON – A federal judge likely will not rule until next week on whether Lisa Cook, amember of the Federal Reserve board, can remain in her job despite President Donald Trump’s attempt to fire her.

At the first hearing on Cook’s lawsuit against Trump, U.S. DistrictJudge Jia Cobb grappled with the legal issuesraised by Trump’s unprecedented move against Cook but offered few hints about how she might rule. The judge, an appointee of Joe Biden, acknowledged the limits of the courts’ power to question the president’s motives, while expressing concerns about the lack of due process afforded to Cook. (more)

While the lawyers defending Ms. Cook dance around the central issue, there is no doubt Ms. Cook lied on three mortgage applications, claiming primary residency in both Illinois and Georgia within a week.

Norm Eisen appears in the footage below, but no one seems to notice him or identify him by name.

(Hint: Eisen is Deep state, him representing Lisa Cook is Deep StateThese DS peopleseem to buy a lot of homes and property. Ie: Alvin Bragg: millions of real estate, Tish James millions ; Fani Willis millions real estate. Just about anyone that hates Trump seems to have holdings in Real Estate. This is there pattern. Pulte should check on Fani and Bragg where they came up with the money, was mortgage fraud involved like James?)

Brazil's Bolsonaro Has Lost Appetite Ahead Of Trial Verdict, Says Son

By AFP - Agence France Presse

Aug 30, 2025 1:57 am EDT

Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro has lost his appetite and continues to vomit, his son said Friday, just days before learning his fate in a trial for plotting an alleged coup.

"The old man is thin, has no desire to eat and continues facing endless bouts of hiccups and vomiting," Carlos Bolsonaro, one of the former president's sons, said on X.

"It hurts too much to see all this."

The 70-year-old firebrand, who ruled Brazil from 2019 to 2022, is on trial along with seven co-accused for allegedly plotting to illegally cling onto power after losing elections to leftist Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

The Supreme Court is expected to begin handing down its verdict in the case on Tuesday.

The former army captain, who has the backing of US President Donald Trump, faces 40 years in prison if convicted.

Bolsonaro has been under house arrest in the Brazilian capital for almost a month and must wear an electronic ankle monitor, restrictions imposed as part of an investigation into alleged attempts to disrupt the trial against him.

The former head of state suffered similar symptoms in July –hiccups and vomiting linked to digestive problems stemming from a stab wound he received during a 2018 campaign event.

The health issues led tomedical tests in August that revealed he had recently suffered two bouts of pneumonia.

In April, Bolsonaro underwent surgery to repair an intestinal obstruction, one of several medical interventions required since the 2018 stabbing. He remained hospitalized for three weeks after that operation.

Mark Knoller, longtime CBS News correspondent, dies at 73 1/2

By Chip Reid

August 31, 2025 / 2:12 PM EDT

(He was a real correspondent when they were real)

Longtime CBS News correspondent Mark Knoller has died at the age of 73.

He died in Washington, D.C., according to a close friend. The cause of death was not disclosed, but he suffered from diabetes and had been in ill health.

Knoller was, to put it simply, a legend. For decades, everyone in the White House press corps knew him as the unofficial presidential historian and statistician.

His frustration over the lack of a central database of daily presidential actions inspired him to take upon himselfthe enormous burden of keeping meticulous records of every presidential act, movement, and utterance, single-handedly filling an immense void in American history.

As he once put it: "I keep a daily log of everything the president does. I keep a list of speeches. I keep a list of travel – foreign travel, domestic travel. A list of outings. A list of golf. A list of pardons, vetoes, states that he's visited, states that he hasn't visited. Every time he goes on vacation, every visit to Camp David."

"Mark Knoller was the hardest-working and most prolific White House correspondent of a generation," Tom Cibrowski, president and executive editor of CBS News, said. "Everyone in America knew his distinctive voice and his up-to-the-minute reporting across eight Presidential administrations."

As a CBS Radio correspondent, Knoller worked extremely long hours, even without this self-imposed hardship. To keep his encyclopedic records up to date, he worked late into the evening nearly every day, departing the White House long after most of his colleagues had gone home.

And what did Knoller do with this hard-earned gold mine of statistics and numbers? In the extremely competitive world of journalism, you might think he would hoard it for his own use. But no. This remarkably generous man shared it with anyone who asked – reporters on deadline, historians, even White House aides filling gaps in their own administration's records. He believed the public had a right to know.

Born Feb. 20, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, he knew from a young age that he wanted to be a reporter. After graduating from New York University, he started his career as an intern and copy boy at WNEW Radio in New York, working his way up to weekend reporter. In 1975, he became a reporter at the Associated Press Radio Network, where he remained for 13 years.

In 1988, Knoller's career took an unexpected turn. While covering a trip to Helsinki and Moscow with then-Secretary of State George Schultz, he and CBS News producer Susan Zirinsky chatted about his career. She told him the CBS News Washington Bureau was looking for a new assignment editor.

"Why not take the plunge?" she asked him. So he did.

But after a few years, "alas, he was miserable," Zirinsky recalls. He didn't enjoy sending other people out to cover the news. He wanted to cover the news. So CBS News offered Knoller the position of White House correspondent for CBS Radio – his dream job, and a position in which he went on to win numerous prestigious journalism awards.

In his role, Knoller covered the last year of President George H.W. Bush's term, both terms of Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and the first term of President Trump. He left CBS in 2020.

Over the last decade of Knoller's time at CBS News, his career took another surprising turn. His voice had begun to fail, making it impossible for him to be a full-time radio correspondent. So Knoller reinvented himself. Twitter was in its early years and was quickly becoming a sensation, so Knoller jumped on the Twitter (now X) train. He began posting numerous times daily, sharing White House news, his famous facts and figures, and his entertaining witticisms with an audience that grew to 300,000 followers.

Former CBS News White House correspondents who worked closely with Knoller also offered their heartfelt admiration:

"Mark Knoller was simply the best, a legendary White House journalist who was a delight to be around=," said CBS News senior correspondent Norah O'Donnell. "His work was his life. He was kind, funny and always gracious in sharing his encyclopedic knowledge of the presidency==. His CBS family adored him, and we will miss our friend."

="Mark Knoller defined what it means to chronicle and cover the White House," said chief White House correspondent Major Garrett=. "Mark added value where others never could – myself included. Mark was the most devoted, tenacious and clear-eyed journalist I have ever had the honor of knowing. For as long as I live, I will count among my life's greatest blessings that I was able to work alongside him."

"As impressive as Mark Knoller's sweep of knowledge about the White House and the presidency was – it was surpassed only by his generosity toward his many friends and colleagues…And he always answered with kindness, class, and a sincere desire to help," said Jim Axelrod, chief correspondent and executive editor for CBS News' "Eye on America" franchise.

Mark wasn't just a respected colleague, he was a dear friend. He helped me enormously with his knowledge of the White House, but the Mark I will always remember is the kind, witty, funny, friend with whom I spent many hours debatingabout one of his favorite topics:which James Bond movies, and actors, were the best and the worst.

MIKE DAVIS: Here’s what can be done about the dump that is DC 1/2

August 30, 2025

The District of Columbia is our nation’s capital, where foreign leaders go to meet our presidents at the White House. On the way, these leaders do not see a shining city on a hill as they peer through the windows of their motorcades. Instead, they see a crime-infested dump riddled with drug addicts, disturbed homeless people milling zombie-like around their tents and gangs of thugs in stolen cars who yearn to target innocent residents.

The D.C. legal system is an utter disaster.Richard Nixon won approximately 20% of the D.C. vote in 1972 in his landslide over George McGovern, the most “success” any Republican presidential candidate has had since D.C. has been part of the Electoral College. =In his three presidential elections, Donald Trump topped out at a whopping 6.6% of the vote in 2024, and the lowest performance by a Democrat was Hillary Clinton’s 90.9% in 2016==. D.C. is chock-full of Democrats, many of whom fill bureaucratic jobs in the federal government. These voters comprise the grand and petit jury pools for D.C. cases.

It is no wonder that Biden Special Counsel Jack Smith did everything he could to rush to a D.C. trial of President Trump prior to the 2024 election. Regardless of the merits of his case, Smith knew that he had a conviction in the bag based on the composition of the jury pool. He took extraordinary measures to secure a pre-election trial, even attempting to bypass the appellate court to obtain faster Supreme Court review during President Trump’s pretrial immunity appeal. Smith’s belief was well-founded; for instance, a D.C. jury recently had acquitted Michael Sussmann, a Perkins Coie lawyer, for plainly false statements made to Special Counsel John Durham during the probe of the Russiagate investigation. A rabidly partisan D.C. civil jury hammered former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani with a $148 million defamation judgment for statements he had made about election workers concerning their work in the 2020 presidential election.

==The utter farce of D.C. became crystallized recently because of the actions of Sean Charles Dunn. This degenerate, then a career Justice Department lawyer, threw a Subway sandwich at a federal law enforcement officer=. He ran like a coward after he had thrown the food, but the police caught him quickly. D.C. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, Trump’s all-star pick, sought an indictment under 18 U.S.C. § 111 for felony assault of a federal law enforcement officer. A D.C. grand jury, however, disgracefully declined to issue one. This development infused D.C. leftists with glee to the point that they are now calling Pirro’s office and claiming that they are going out to buy more sandwiches.

D.C. is unique in that local crime prosecutions are under the control of the D.C. Superior Court. This is not an Article III court, even though the president appoints the judges by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. The president must choose from acommission where only one member is a presidential appointee. The rest are appointees of, among others, the D.C. mayor (currently Democrat Muriel Bowser), the chief judge of the U.S. District Court (another Democrat) and the D.C. Bar (full of Democrats). This group is filled with leftist zealots who recently moved forward with the despicable disbarment of Trump 45 and 47 attorney Jeffrey Clark based on a legal memorandum he drafted and never even had sent. Even if vacancies arise on the D.C. Superior Court and the D.C. Court of Appeals (D.C.’s supreme court), President Trump can only pick from a slate of bad and biased candidates.

Leftists in D.C. mostly inhabit safe spaces in N.W. D.C., like Georgetown, Logan Circle, Dupont Circle and Embassy Row. As such, they are not as exposed to the rampant crime as the poor, innocent D.C. residents face daily. These limousine liberals thus have decided to protest President Trump’s takeover of the D.C. Metropolitan Police. The police chief, Pamela Smith, used to head the department’s equity office. DEI-infested law enforcement is bad law enforcement. D.C. needs to adopt the “broken windows” approach of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and prosecute every provable crime. For the past four years, federal prosecutors under the Biden Justice Department wasted their time on January 6 cases. Thanks to President Trump’s clemency, these prosecutors now have much more free time on their hands.A large chunk of the D.C. federal prosecutors should get reassigned from their fancy U.S. District Court assignments and go slum it in the D.C. Superior Court, where they can prosecute street thugs terrorizing our nation’s capital. Force defendants to go through the process, even if leftist grand juries will not indict, leftist juries will acquit, or leftist judges will hand down pitifully lenient sentences. Make the process the punishment for these D.C. criminals and their enablers on the bench and in the jury boxes.

We pay nearly $1 billion in taxes as part of appropriating money for D.C. Mayor Bowser has acknowledged the staggering progress that President Trump’s two-week-old takeover has had in the form of drastic crime reductions. But this progress can only go so far if the D.C. citizenry will not join in.The Trump administration should move every government job it legally can out of D.C. This relocation would eliminate a lot of bureaucratic jobs from the city–and leftist from the D.C. jury pools. While D.C. would still be the seat of government, it would not be quite the magnet that it currently is for federal government employees. The Vicinage Clause of the Constitution requires that defendants be tried in the district where the offense occurred, so D.C. defendants must face D.C. juries unless they ask for and receive a change of venue. The government cannot obtain one.But perhaps fewer government employees as grand and petit jurors will result in tougher jury pools composed of ordinary citizens who have had it with D.C.’s rampant crime.Because of our Constitution, fixing D.C. will be tough. Democrats want to make it a state and install two Democrat senators forever, and we must use all legal tools to defeat this effort. President Trump is doing all he can to improve D.C., highlighted by his appointment of tough-as-hell Judge Jeanine Pirro as the top D.C. federal prosecutor. But thanks to unconstitutional laws like the D.C. Home Rule Act, the administration can only do so much. This law needs to berepealed, a feat which would require overcoming a Democrat filibuster. In the meantime, President Trump must employ every legal strategy to continue improving D.C.

His takeover of Union Station will lead to more businesses returning to what had become a cesspool of homeless camps and thugs. If Congress does not permit the takeover to continue after 30 days, the president should declare a national emergency to keep it going; let the legal chips fall where they may if the local government challenges his authority. Our nation’s capital belongs to all Americans–not local D.C. violent thugs and their enablers on the bench and jury pools. President Trump is admirably leading the fight to preserve and protect it.
