According to Politico, the newly formed MAGA KY PAC has raised $2 million in just weeks to try and take out Massie in the upcoming Republican primary:

$750,000 from Preserve America PAC, tied to GOP megadonor Miriam Adelson

John Paulson is the American founder and CEO of Paulson & Co., a New York–based investment management firm established in 1994.

A notable Republican donor, Paulson has contributed significantly to campaigns and causes. In 2024, his Palm Beach estate hosted a Trump campaign fundraiser that raised over $50 million.

In March, President Donald Trump officially declared political war on Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) for opposing the Trump-backed funding bill aimed at preventing a government shutdown.

Massie’s comments came just after a press conference featuring Epstein’s victims, where he doubled down on the political pressure being applied to silence him.

Reporter: “Thomas, what’s some of the kickback you’re getting from your colleagues? Are there reasons why they don’t want to endorse this?”

Massie: “They’re being threatened. I mean, look, I’ve got $2 million of ads running against me back in my district, and it’s funded by three billionaires. One of them is in Epstein’s Black Book. I mean, this is what happens. Your consultants will abandon you. When the White House gets mad at you, the Speaker will block all of your bills. They’ll shut down your fundraising. The opposition to this is very political.”

Military Pursues AI Systems To Suppress Online Dissent Abroad

The U.S. military wants artificial intelligence to do what human propagandists cannot: create and spread influence campaigns at internet speed while systematically suppressing opposition voices abroad, according to internal Pentagon documents obtained by The Intercept.

The classified wishlist reveals SOCOM’s ambition to deploy “agentic AI or multi-LLM agent systems” that can “influence foreign target audiences” and “suppress dissenting arguments” with minimal human oversight. The military branch seeks contractors who can provide automated systems that operate at unprecedented scale and speed.

“The information environment moves too fast for military remembers [sic] to adequately engage and influence an audience on the internet,” the document said.

“Having a program built to support our objectives can enable us to control narratives and influence audiences in real time.”

As reported by The Intercept, the proposed AI systems would extend far beyond simple content generation. SOCOM envisions technology that can “scrape the information environment, analyze the situation and respond with messages that are in line with MISO objectives.” More controversially, the systems would “suppress dissenting arguments” and “access profiles, networks, and systems of individuals or groups that are attempting to counter or discredit our messages.”

The Pentagon plans to use these capabilities for comprehensive social manipulation, creating “comprehensive models of entire societies to enable MISO planners to use these models to experiment or test various multiple scenarios.”

Houthis Detain 11 UN Staff, Calling Them 'Spies' For US & Israel

Last Saturday, Israel conducted its major airstrikes on Sanaa which killed the Houthi prime minister, Ahmed al-Rahawi, among other top officials in the Houthi government. The operation has been widely reported as constituting the biggest single loss of Houthi leadership.

The following day, Sunday, Houthi militants stormed the offices of two United Nations agencies in the capital, specifically the World Food Programme (WFP) and the United Nations children’s agency (UNICEF), according to UN leadership and various international reports.

These offices ere "entered by local security forces" and some WFP and UNICEF staff members were detained. This week it was confirmed that eleven of these UN staff members have still been in Houthi detention.

A fresh statement from the Iran-aligned Shia militant group has accused the detained UN aid workers of being spies for the US and Israel.

"Those who were arrested from among the United Nations employees are accused of spying for the American and Israeli aggression," an official Houthi statement said. "Whoever has the accusations against them confirmed will be referred to trial."

Yemeni security sources have further rounded up dozens of other people "on suspicion of collaborating with Israel" they recently told AFP.

This has been a long-running problem, as other UN workers have already long been in detention in Yemen:

The United Nations envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, said in a statement: "I strongly condemn the new wave of arbitrary detentions of UN personnel today in Sanaa and Hodeida… as well as the forced entry into UN premises and seizure of UN property."

He said that "at least 11 UN personnel were detained" and demanded that they be "immediately and unconditionally" released.

The Houthis were already detaining 23 UN personnel, some since 2021 and 2023, he added. In January, the Huthi rebels detained eight UN workers.
