In a 212–208 vote, the House approved a rule that wrapped in the new panel as well as a provision endorsing the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

 

Included in the rules package was a resolution by Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) authorizing the creation of the panel, which will be chaired by Loudermilk. The new panel falls under the jurisdiction of the House Judiciary Committee.

 

It’s the second panel approved by Congress to investigate the events on the day of and leading up to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach, during which a crowd of President Donald Trump’s supporters attending the “Stop the Steal” rally entered the Capitol.

 

The incident delayed the vote to certify President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election. Lawmakers reconvened to finish the proceedings after the crowd had been cleared from the building.

 

The vote fulfills a promise made by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) at the start of the 119th Congress to form a new subcommittee on the subject, as its Democrat-led predecessor had long faced allegations of bias and partisanship.

 

The resolution to authorize the new panel was introduced by Loudermilk—who was targeted for investigation by the previous Jan. 6 panel for a tour he gave of the Capitol complex in the days ahead of the Jan. 6 rally—a day before the House left for its August recess.

Significance

Numerous recent scientific and journalistic investigations demonstrate that systematic scientific fraud is a growing threat to the scientific enterprise. In large measure this has been attributed to organizations known as research paper mills. We uncover footprints of activities connected to scientific fraud that extend beyond the production of fake papers to brokerage roles in a widespread network of editors and authors who cooperate to achieve the publication of scientific papers that escape traditional peer-review standards. Our analysis reveals insights into how such organizations are structured and how they operate.

Abstract

Science is characterized by collaboration and cooperation, but also by uncertainty, competition, and inequality. While there has always been some concern that these pressures may compel some to defect from the scientific research ethos—i.e., fail to make genuine contributions to the production of knowledge or to the training of an expert workforce—the focus has largely been on the actions of lone individuals. Recently, however, reports of coordinated scientific fraud activities have increased. Some suggest that the ease of communication provided by the internet and open-access publishing have created the conditions for the emergence of entities—paper mills (i.e., sellers of mass-produced low quality and fabricated research), brokers (i.e., conduits between producers and publishers of fraudulent research), predatory journals, who do not conduct any quality controls on submissions—that facilitate systematic scientific fraud. Here, we demonstrate through case studies that i) individuals have cooperated to publish papers that were eventually retracted in a number of journals, ii) brokers have enabled publication in targeted journals at scale, and iii), within a field of science, not all subfields are equally targeted for scientific fraud. Our results reveal some of the strategies that enable the entities promoting scientific fraud to evade interventions. Our final analysis suggests that this ability to evade interventions is enabling the number of fraudulent publications to grow at a rate far outpacing that of legitimate science.

Firebrand Nancy Mace is demanding that Prince Andrew be thrown in prison for his alleged involvement with Jeffrey Epstein.

 

'Now seems like a good time to discuss prosecuting Prince Andrew for any and all potential crimes on U.S. soil,' the South Carolina congresswoman wrote on X Wednesday.

 

'A cold dark cell. Prince Andrew in handcuffs. Sends the right message,' Mace, 47, wrote in another post.

 

The lawmaker penned several posts regarding the British royal family member, who has long been dogged by allegations that he had sordid connections to Epstein, who was found dead in his jail cell in 2019 while awaiting his federal sex trafficking trial.

 

Virginia Giuffre, one of the most identifiable Epstein accusers, was allegedly sexually assaulted by Prince Andrew when she was 17.

 

The royal has repeatedly denied the allegations and has claimed he has 'no recollection' of ever meeting Giuffre, despite an infamous picture showing the pair smiling together with Epstein's girlfriend and accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, in the background.

 

While Andrew has settled a civil suit involving an undisclosed sum without admitting wrongdoing, he has never been criminally charged in connection with the Epstein case. Prince Andrew has said he lost touch with Epstein after 2010, though recent reports allege their relationship lasted much longer.

 

Giuffre died by suicide in April at her home in Australia.

Dutch may legalise pepper spray in wake of Lisa’s murder

Caretaker justice minister David van Weel will investigate the “quick and simple” legalisation of pepper spray so women can defend themselves against attackers, he said in a debate about the violent death of17-year-old Lisa two weeks ago.

Pepper spray is legal in some European countries, but in the Netherlands it is seen as an illegal weapon and included in the same category as guns and knives.

Allowing women to carry pepper spray won’t keep them safe in itself, Van Weel said. Violence against women is “complex, a many-headed monster”, he said, citing street intimidation and unsafe viaducts and stations.

GroenLinks-PvdA MP Songül Mutluer, who had requested the debate, said the safety of women in public places must be tackled quickly. A woman or girl is killed every week in the Netherlands, she said. “We want to reclaim the day as well as the night,” she told the minister.

Mutluer also slated “extremists” who are using the death of Lisa “to further their own agenda” because the man is an asylum seeker living in refugee accommodation.

Far right leader Geert Wilders had to apologise last week for saying the man accused of the crime had been arrested the week before and let go. Police commented he had stirred up “public unrest”.

Van Weel said it is not clear if the man has the right to be in the Netherlands but that there was no reason to ignore the fact he lived in an asylum centre.

The identity of the undocumented man, who says he is from Nigeria, is still to be established. Police have asked for the help of the Nigerian authorities to identify him.

This might be typical, but not all are this way.

Some men are obsessed with local, while some women are not concerned at all with local and focus on global.

But even so, both views are essential.

I know there are men who believe that the man should be the Head of the Household and should be the only one allowed to vote. But even when that was so, they had the responsibility to consider all aspects of their vote both globally and locally and would be wise to consider their wife's opinion. They had the responsibility for their entire family, not just themselves. How many men consider their wives and their daughters when they vote? Or are they only thinking of themselves? And what if they aren't married and/or have no children?

And some women have never been married or have no children and work outside of their home, or are a widow, so that creates a conundrum for women not being allowed to vote. And some men are not married and have no children, so they have no skin in the game of considering what is best for women, they will probably only consider what is best for themselves.

So IMO the whole Appeal the 19th is just an attempt to do as Q mentioned - divide people by sex. Treating women as if they are a possession or as if they are a child, IMO, is demeaning and disrespectful. Yet there are men out there who seem to have no problem with doing exactly that.

Trump Tells Supreme Court He’ll Appeal Bats**t Insane E. Jean Carroll Case

 

President Donald Trump plans to ask the Supreme Court this fall to overturn a civil jury verdict that found he sexually abused writer E. Jean Carroll and defamed her, his attorneys said in a new court filing.

 

Trump’s intentions were revealed in an application docketed by the nation’s highest court on Sept. 2.

 

In the application, his lawyers asked the court to extend an upcoming Sept. 10 deadline for filing a petition to challenge the $5 million verdict to Nov. 10. The application was directed to Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who handles urgent appeals from New York.

 

Trump “intends to seek review” of “significant issues” arising out of the trial and what he termed the “erroneous” ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit that affirmed the verdict, according to the application.

 

On June 13, a divided Second Circuit denied a rehearing in the case.

 

Circuit Judges Steven Menashi and Michael Park dissented from the ruling.

 

“These holdings conflict with controlling precedents and produced a judgment that cannot be justified under the rules of evidence that apply as a matter of course in all other cases,” Menashi said in a dissent joined by Park.

 

Trump’s attorney in the case, Justin D. Smith of James Otis Law Group LLC in St. Louis, Missouri, said more time was needed to file the petition

 

“Undersigned counsel faces a significant press of business due to many upcoming deadlines,” Smith said.

 

Carroll gave evidence during a 2023 trial that Trump attacked her in 1996 in a dressing room in a Manhattan department store near the Trump Tower.

 

In its May 2023 verdict, the federal jury held Trump liable for sexually abusing Carroll and defaming her when he made statements in October 2022 denying her allegations. The jury awarded Carroll $5 million in damages.

 

In another lawsuit filed by Carroll, a federal jury ordered Trump to pay $83.3 million in damages over statements he made in 2019 denying the sexual assault allegations.

 

A three-judge panel of the Second Circuit affirmed the verdict in December 2024, rejecting Trump’s argument that the trial judge’s ruling invalidated the trial by allowing others who accused Trump of sexual abuse to testify. Three women said Trump carried out similar acts against them in 2005 and the 1970s. Trump denied the allegations.

 

“President Trump has consistently and unequivocally denied Carroll’s allegations in both cases,” the new application said.

 

Carroll obtained the $5 million award based on “incorrect findings,” after which the federal district court “wrongly” interpreted the law and “improperly [prevented] President Trump from contesting the merits in that action,” the filing said. After that, Carroll secured the “unjust judgment of $83.3 million,” the application said.

 

“We do not believe that President Trump will be able to present any legal issues in the Carroll cases that merit review by the United States Supreme Court,” Roberta Kaplan, Carroll’s attorney, said on Sept. 3

Police Scotland has charged a man and a woman in connection to the incident which saw a 12-year-old-girl charged for allegedly brandishing an axe and a machete.

 

The school girl was said to have been in possession of the weapons when she was walking around a street in the Lochee area of Dundee last month.

 

It comes after footage of the alleged incident circulated online and was shared by X Supremo Elon Musk and Far Right campaigner Tommy Robinson.

 

Even First Minister John Swinney was forced to step in to call for users to stop spreading misinformation around the case. Upset social media users even set up a fundraiser for the girl's family that raised more than £70,000 with a target of £250,000.

The force has confirmed today to charge a man and a woman in connection with the events on August 23.

 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Following extensive enquiries, a man and a woman have been charged in connection with an incident in St Ann Lane in Dundee, which was reported around 7.40pm on Saturday, 23 August 2025.

"The circumstances will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

 

"A girl, previously charged with being in possession of offensive weapons, will be referred to the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration and the Procurator Fiscal.

"Members of the public are again urged not to share misinformation about this incident or speculate on the circumstances."

Meanwhile, the United States has WALKED OUT of a meeting in Paris of the group calling itself the "Coalition of the Willing" concerning Ukraine.

 

US Special Representative Steve Witkoff got up and walked out only twenty minutes into the meeting, according the the Elysee Palace. Apparently, the subject matter was immediately so devoid of reality, so untenable there was no sense in Witkoff remaining. Witkoff will return after the Europeans call President Trump.

 

As recently as yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin publicly made clear that Russia will not allow foreign troops into Ukraine - either as part of the ongoing conflict or as part of any peace plan. Moreover, Putin explicitly stated that if Russia's goals in their Special Military Operation "cannot be achieved Diplomatically, they will be achieved militarily."

 

For some reason, Ukraine and its European supporters seem unable to grasp that Russia will get what Russia demands, or Russia will impose the demands by force.

 

The Europeans seem to think that what they are doing with their military assistance to Ukraine, matters. Clearly, the Russians see otherwise.

 

At this point, Russia is undeniably winning on the battlefield, and as such, has no reason to compromise its goals.

 

The fact that US Special Representative Witkoff walked out of the meeting after only 20 minutes today, does not bode well for the Ukraine situation to be settled Diplomatically.

A pharmaceutical industry whistleblower has spoken out to allege that a world-renowned professor, Dr. Francis Boyle, was murdered shortly before he was due to testify before a Dutch court that Covid mRNA “vaccines” were developed as deadly “bioweapons.”

 

As Slay News previously reported, Boyle, a bioweapons expert, wrote the 1989 Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act, which was passed by Congress and signed into U.S. law in 1990 by President H. W. Bush.

 

Boyle, who was one of the most prominent law professors in the world, declared last year that “everyone involved” in pushing Covid mRNA shots onto the public committed “crimes against humanity.”

 

During an interview last summer, Dr. Boyle asserted that the “frankenshots” were part of a plan to conduct “medical experimentation” on humanity.

 

He warned the public that COVID-19 was developed in a lab as “an offensive biological weapon.”

 

Professor Boyle argued that those who pushed the mRNA injections “clearly violated the Nuremberg Code.”

 

Speaking during an interview with reporter Maria Zeee, Boyle declared that vax pushers are guilty of “murder” for causing deaths through “vaccine” injuries.

 

“Everyone involved in the development of COVID-19 as an offensive biological warfare weapon and also everyone involved in the manufacture of these COVID-19 ‘frankenshots’ clearly violated the Nuremberg Code on medical experimentation,” Boyle said.

 

“It was a Nuremberg crime and a crime against humanity.”

 

Boyle died unexpectedly in Urbana, Illinois, on January 30, 2025, at the age of 74.

 

His cause of death was never disclosed.

 

Now, a whistleblower has alleged that Boyle was murdered to prevent him from testifying on Covid “vaccines” in the Netherlands.

According to Infowars founder Alex Jones, Boyle “magically died” before he could expose evidence proving the mRNA injections were developed as bioweapons.

 

Jones revealed that a retired pharmaceutical company executive has disclosed that investigations are still ongoing into the “suspicious” circumstances surrounding Boyle’s death.

 

Boyle was reportedly planning to produce evidence in a Dutch court during a civil trial against Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and several other powerful globalists.

 

As Slay News has reported, Gates is being sued over his role in promoting the “vaccines” that led to surging deaths and injuries.

 

During a recent interview with journalist Liz Gunn and UK politician Jim Ferguson, retired pharma R&D executive Sasha Latypova raised fresh alarm over the sudden and “suspicious” death of Dr. Boyle.

 

She noted that he died suddenly just after he had committed to testify in court that the Covid injections are bioweapons.

 

Latypova stressed the significance of Boyle’s involvement, noting that he was among the few legal authorities in the world with the irrefutable expertise to classify the injections as biological weapons.

 

The Dutch case in question began nearly two years ago and centers on seven victims, including one who has already died from Covid shot injuries.

 

According to Latypova, the lawsuit names former Dutch Prime Minister (now NATO chief) Mark Rutte, WEF founder Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla as defendants.

 

It accused them of coordinating a “militarized campaign of democide” through lies and coercion that resulted in widespread injuries and deaths.

 

Adding further controversy, one of the plaintiffs’ attorneys, Arno van Kessel, was arrested in June 2025.

 

Police accused him of being tied to a “criminal organization” and claimed they found explosives at his home.

 

But as Dutch outlet De Andere Krant later reported, the so-called explosives turned out to be nothing more than a stash of old fireworks, casting serious doubt on the motives behind his detention.

Military Pursues AI Systems To Suppress Online Dissent Abroad

 

The U.S. military wants artificial intelligence to do what human propagandists cannot: create and spread influence campaigns at internet speed while systematically suppressing opposition voices abroad, according to internal Pentagon documents obtained by The Intercept.

 

The classified wishlist reveals SOCOM’s ambition to deploy “agentic AI or multi-LLM agent systems” that can “influence foreign target audiences” and “suppress dissenting arguments” with minimal human oversight. The military branch seeks contractors who can provide automated systems that operate at unprecedented scale and speed.

 

“The information environment moves too fast for military remembers [sic] to adequately engage and influence an audience on the internet,” the document said.

 

“Having a program built to support our objectives can enable us to control narratives and influence audiences in real time.”

 

As reported by The Intercept, the proposed AI systems would extend far beyond simple content generation. SOCOM envisions technology that can “scrape the information environment, analyze the situation and respond with messages that are in line with MISO objectives.” More controversially, the systems would “suppress dissenting arguments” and “access profiles, networks, and systems of individuals or groups that are attempting to counter or discredit our messages.”

 

The Pentagon plans to use these capabilities for comprehensive social manipulation, creating “comprehensive models of entire societies to enable MISO planners to use these models to experiment or test various multiple scenarios.”

Houthis Detain 11 UN Staff, Calling Them 'Spies' For US & Israel

 

Last Saturday, Israel conducted its major airstrikes on Sanaa which killed the Houthi prime minister, Ahmed al-Rahawi, among other top officials in the Houthi government. The operation has been widely reported as constituting the biggest single loss of Houthi leadership.

 

The following day, Sunday, Houthi militants stormed the offices of two United Nations agencies in the capital, specifically the World Food Programme (WFP) and the United Nations children’s agency (UNICEF), according to UN leadership and various international reports.

 

These offices ere "entered by local security forces" and some WFP and UNICEF staff members were detained. This week it was confirmed that eleven of these UN staff members have still been in Houthi detention.

 

A fresh statement from the Iran-aligned Shia militant group has accused the detained UN aid workers of being spies for the US and Israel.

 

"Those who were arrested from among the United Nations employees are accused of spying for the American and Israeli aggression," an official Houthi statement said. "Whoever has the accusations against them confirmed will be referred to trial."

 

Yemeni security sources have further rounded up dozens of other people "on suspicion of collaborating with Israel" they recently told AFP.

 

This has been a long-running problem, as other UN workers have already long been in detention in Yemen:

 

The United Nations envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, said in a statement: "I strongly condemn the new wave of arbitrary detentions of UN personnel today in Sanaa and Hodeida… as well as the forced entry into UN premises and seizure of UN property."

 

He said that "at least 11 UN personnel were detained" and demanded that they be "immediately and unconditionally" released.

 

The Houthis were already detaining 23 UN personnel, some since 2021 and 2023, he added. In January, the Huthi rebels detained eight UN workers.

Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu was told by the judge that he should expect to go to prison, when he is sentenced later this month.

 

A man whose arrest sparked a series of protests outside an Essex hotel housing asylum seekers, has been found guilty of sexual assault.

 

The Bell Hotel in Epping became the focal point of demonstrations after Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu was arrested, and later charged, on 13 July with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

 

Ethiopian national Kebatu, 41, was alleged to have attempted to kiss the teenager, put his hand on her thigh and brushed her hair in July after she offered him pizza.

 

An adult member of the public also accused Kebatu of trying to kiss her, putting his hand on her leg and telling her she was pretty, days after he arrived in the UK on a small boat.

 

Kebatu, who was a "teacher of sports" in his home country, had denied two counts of sexual assault, one count of attempted sexual assault, one count of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity, and one count of harassment without violence near the Bell Hotel.

 

But at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Thursday, he was found guilty of all charges. District judge Christopher Williams took just 30 minutes to return the verdicts and his reasoning.

 

The three-day trial heard Kebatu had also told two teenagers he wanted to "have a baby with each of them" - but Kebatu had previously told the trial he was "not a wild animal".

 

Mr Williams said he was not persuaded there was "any evidence to suggest the children fabricated any of the evidence they gave".

 

The defendant, wearing a grey tracksuit and sitting with a translator, gave no visible reaction as Mr Williams told him he was guilty.

 

Kebatu is due to be sentenced at the same court on 23 September.

 

The judge told the defendant that he should expect an "immediate custodial sentence".

 

Essex Police Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Hooper paid tribute to the victims for ensuring the evidence put before the court was strong and true.

 

"It is because of their accounts of what happened, and the close co-operation with our Crown Prosecution Service colleagues, that we have been able to secure this conviction.

 

"We're acutely aware that this incident has attracted widespread public interest.

 

"We have always said that we treat and investigate every report made to us without fear or favour."

 

'It must never happen again'

 

Conservative shadow Home Office minister Katie Lam said the guilty verdict showed the risks of allowing asylum seekers "to roam around communities freely".

 

"The crimes of this illegal migrant are shocking and heart-breaking and the victims have shown incredible bravery.

 

"This must never be allowed to happen again. Every illegal migrant should be detained immediately and swiftly deported."

 

The incidents sparked protests and counter-protests outside the former Bell Hotel - as well as at hotels housing asylum seekers across the country.

 

Rebecca Mundy, deputy chief crown prosecutor with CPS East of England, said: "This was an incident which became a cause of deep concern for the local community.

 

"Our prosecutors worked carefully and impartially to bring this case to justice according to the law."
