Transgender Accused of Threat to Kill Sen. Marsha Blackburn Joined Gay Straight Trans Alliance Club, 2019 High School Yearbook Suggests

Yearbook photos obtained by The Tennessee Star reveal that Penelope Convertino, the 22-year-old transgender person who was arrested last month after allegedly threatening to kill U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), was a member of the GSTA club at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, which she attended in 2019.

The Star reviewed the yearbook after receiving a tip claiming that Convertino was actually born a biological woman, but currently identifies as a transgender man named Michael, and suggesting that she may have attended Riverdale High School. The Star found multiple photographs of Penelope Convertino (pictured below, right), presumably a high school sophomore at the time, in the 2019 Riverdale High School yearbook, but found no photographs of Convertino in the 2020 and 2021 Riverdale High School yearbook.
