Jim jatras

Jim Jatras is a Washington, DC-based attorney, political analyst, and media & government affairs specialist who formerly served as a senior foreign policy adviser to the US Senate Republican leadership.

He has a background as a retired U.S. diplomat, having served as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State from 1979 to 1985, with assignments in Mexico and on the Soviet desk in Washington, D.C..

He also served as a policy advisor and analyst for the Republican leadership in the U.S. Senate from 1985 to 2002.

 

Jatras is known for his pro-Eastern Orthodox and anti-Muslim activism in the Balkans, and has been described as an Orthodox extremist with deep connections to the Serbian Unity Congress.

He was the keynote speaker at the 9th Serbian Unity Congress and a principal in the Serbian-American-made propaganda film, Yugoslavia: The Avoidable War.

He has written numerous articles warning Americans about the threat of militant Islam in Southeast Europe, some of which were published in Chronicles magazine, a publication linked to Bosnian Serb groups and white Southern neo-Confederacy.

 

In 2006, Jatras signed a contract with the law firm Venable, LLP, on behalf of the Serbian National Council of Kosovo and Metohija, acting as a paid lobbyist for the group under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

He has also been a frequent contributor to print and online publications, including RT, where he has written op-eds on topics such as U.S. foreign policy, the INF Treaty, and the conflict in Ukraine.

His work has spanned legislative and political issues, international security, human rights, public diplomacy, immigration, international trade, and the global terror risk environment.

 

Jatras is the author of I Tried to Warn You: The Collected Works of James George Jatras, a critique of the decline of Christendom and contemporary political trends.

He has also been involved in political commentary and interviews, discussing topics such as the impact of 'woke' ideology, the future of the Republican Party, and the existential challenges facing the United States.
