Grandma of Charlie Kirk's 'assassin' breaks silence to reveal why the FBI MUST have the wrong man

Tyler Robinson's grandmother Debbie Robinson, 69, said she is stunned by the charges against her grandson, describing him as a quiet, reserved young man who 'never' spoke about politics, despite his father's staunch Trump support.

'My son, his dad, is a Republican for Trump,' Debbie, who also lives in Washington, Utah, told the Daily Mail.

'[Tyler] is the shyest person,' she added. 'He has never, ever spoke politics to me at all.

'Most of my family members are Republican. I don't know any single one who’s a Democrat.

'I'm just so confused.'

Debbie said her son hasn't answered her calls since the news broke on Robinson's identity as the suspect in Kirk's assassination.

She insisted there was no way her grandson could be involved, claiming she had never even known him to touch a gun, let alone own one.

'I don't think he ever shot a gun, to tell you the truth,' she said. 'He doesn't hunt, he's never liked anything like that. I know he doesn't own any guns.

'There's just no way he could have been that good of a shot.'

She also said she never heard of the 22-year-old alleged killer having mental health issues.

'He's a wonderful child,' she said. 'There is no way that he could have done anything like that. I would cross my heart and promise that there was absolutely no way. He has never, ever gotten in trouble in his life. He's just a very shy, good kid.'

'There's no way he could be violent,' she said. 'There's absolutely no way that he did that.'

Debbie also revealed that Robinson works in St. George and that she had no idea that he was going to Kirk's event.

No controversy, please. We are the Aussie Government

The Albanese Government’s proposed changes to Freedom of Information laws will deny access to any document of the government that involves controversy.

Just how fearless is advice that the author fears the public will see?

In the current Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, parts of a document can be redacted if the contents would disclose deliberative matter; that is, advice, recommendations and consultations. It’s a catch-all exemption deployed regularly in response to document requests.

However, the exemption is conditional. Even if the material is deliberative in nature, it must still be made available to the public unless doing so would be contrary to the public interest.

In trying to support the idea that the release of deliberative material would be contrary to the public interest, departments regularly raise the so-called ‘chilling effect’ that disclosure would have on public servants’ advice.

No shrinking violets?

The problem with the arguments used by FOI decision makers is that ‘shrinking violets’ in the Commonwealth public service are not allowed.

Section 10 of the Public Service Act requires public servants to be professional, trustworthy, open and accountable, and provide the Government with

advice that is frank, honest, timely and based on the best available evidence.

There is no scope for officials to depart from this – doing so would place them in breach of law and subject to disciplinary action or dismissal.

Former minister Greg Hunt works for Brethren company whose owners made millions on COVID contracts

Within months of leaving parliament, former health minister Greg Hunt started working for a Plymouth Brethren-linked company whose owners won $135 million in government contracts for COVID supplies.

It was the first of three companies linked to senior Brethren figures in Australia and New Zealand that have engaged Mr Hunt as a board adviser, at a time when the church has fostered closer links to the Liberals.

The Sydney-based church, which has been described by former members and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese as a "cult", is supported by a business empire which includes more than 3,000 companies around the world.

Members of the Plymouth Brethren are restricted from socialising with non-Brethren, women are blocked from almost all leadership positions and those who leave the church are shunned and blocked from speaking with their family.

While their campaigning for Liberal candidates at recent elections has put the group in the spotlight, their networking with senior Liberals has drawn less focus.

Hunt the adviser

As health minister in the Morrison government, Mr Hunt oversaw Australia's strategy and response to the COVID-19 pandemic before leaving parliament in May 2022.

Early the following year he began advisory work for Connected Global, whose owners are close to the family of Bruce Hales, the leader of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church.

Connected Global's owners and directors, Gavin and Russell Grace and other Grace family members, also run Westlab, a pathology supply company.

Westlab reported $54.1 million in COVID contracts with the health department while Mr Hunt was health minister.

In the 11 months after Mr Hunt retired from politics in May 2022, the company received another $80.8 million in COVID contracts with the department.

Bruce Hales, who is an accountant as well as being the Brethren's spiritual leader, acted as an auditor for Westlab. Westlab sourced rapid antigen tests via a company controlled by two of Hales's sons.
