Secretary Kennedy: You're only seeing this in people who are under fifty years of age. If it were better recognition or diagnosis [giving higher numbers of autism cases], you'd see it in seventy-year old men. I've never seen this happening in people my age. I've never seen a case of full-blown autism; and I mean profound autism. I want to be very careful; headbanging, stimming, toe-walking, non-verbal, non-toilet trained; I've never in my life seen a seventy-year old man who looks like that. You're only seeing it in kids. It's an epidemic.
Reporter: Is there a concern that information is being suppressed right now within HHS, and should an investigation perhaps be launched?
President Trump: I think information has been, really, not given out very freely over the years, absolutely. And I think that's by drug companies, and maybe doctors.
