Senator Ron Wyden’s Kids Drove Man To Suicide, Had To Be Maced By Own Mother, Lawsuit Alleges

The husband of a top aide to Nancy Bass Wyden, wife of Democratic Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden, has filed a lawsuit alleging the senator’s children bullied the aide into suicide.

Thomas Maltezos claims his partner, 35-year-old Brandon O’Brien, took his own life after two years of verbal abuse, slurs and harassment while working for Nancy, who is the heiress of Manhattan’s Strand Bookstore, according to the New York Post.

The lawsuit also alleges Wyden’s daughter exposed herself to O’Brien and made “sexually explicit” remarks while pressing him about the couple’s “intimate life” during school drop-offs, the Post reported. Maltezos claims Nancy ignored the behavior from her then-10-year-old daughter.

The lawsuit further alleges that Wyden’s son repeatedly hurled homophobic slurs at O’Brien, calling him “faggot” and “zest kitten,” and once claimed his football team “would rape him,” according to the Post.

In one episode, Nancy allegedly sprayed mace at her son to stop him from throwing objects at O’Brien, but O’Brien was accidentally hit as well.After O’Brien resigned in September 2024, Nancy reported him to New York police, accusing him of stealing $650,000 through credit cards and other means, the outlet reported.(Why are the Wyden’s living in NY when he represents Oregon?)

Court filings** allege Nancy hired a private investigator to dig into O’Brien’s personal life and smear him with false rumors to colleagues, the Post reported. The theft investigation was dropped after O’Brien died by suicide in May. Maltezos later mourned their 14 years together in a LinkedIn post, calling O’Brien “the love of my life, my heart, and my home,” and urging others to “hold your loved ones close.”

Nancy’s attorneys dismissed the lawsuit as “baseless and deeply misguided” and “riddled with false accusations,” insisting it was an attempt to deflect from O’Brien’s “documented pattern of theft,” according to the Post.

Maltezos’ lawyers countered that“the allegations against the senator’s wife are shocking, disturbing, and cruel — no person should ever be subject to this level of harassment, much less in the workplace.”

Sen. Wyden’s office did not respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.

(**First of all, every politician does a very deep and huge work background research and sent to theFBI for them to confirm to hire the person, on the people they are about to hire, that’s their only protection to prevent situations like this. So there is NO WAY the background research showed all those supposed crimes. The Wyden’s are in a for a bad awakening, that they can get away with suicide.)

Binyamin Netanyahu’s long haul to New York to ‘avoid arrest’

The Israeli prime minister’s plane took an unusual circuitous route to New York in an apparent attempt to avoid entering the airspace of countries where he is wanted for war crimes.

Binyamin Netanyahu was on his way to speak at the UN general assembly where he has promised to “tell our truth” in what is expected to be a controversial speech. He is known for having used props and theatrics there in the past.Netanyahu’s state aircraft, Wing of Zion, avoided Spanish and French airspace, according to the aviation website Flight Tracker.

The Times of Israel suggested that the longerjourney was taken to avoid countries that are signatories to the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has issued a warrant for Netanyahu’s arrest, alongside the former defence minister Yoav Gallant, for alleged war crimes.

The British government has indicated that Netanyahu would face arrest if he travelled to the UK, while France has said the prime minister may have immunity as Israel is not an ICC member state.

Analysts and journalists remarked on the unusual route on social media, saying that it was indicative of Israel’s diplomatic isolation.

“Few things illustrate how Netanyahu has navigated Israel to diplomatic isolation than the route his plane (without journalists) is taking this morning en route to New York, carefully threading its way to avoid flying over countries where he may be arrested on an ICC warrant,” wrote Anshel Pfeffer, Netanyahu’s biographer and a correspondent for The Economist.

“To save fuel on its circuitous ICC-evading route Netanyahu’s Boeing 767 is flying half-empty, without any journalists. Also absent is the [National Security Council] head [Tzachi] Hanegbi who opposed both the Gaza City offensive and the Qatar strike and is on his way out,” he added.

Yanir Cozin, a correspondent with Israel’s army radio, said: “Prime Minister Netanyahu’s plane is taking a long and unusual route to New York, flying along the southern Mediterranean route, significantly extending the flight==. Why? To avoid a situation where an emergency landing would be required in a country that would enforce the arrest warrants of the International Court.”

Netanyahu’s speech at the UN comes after a week of diplomatic shifts, with Israel-allied countries including the UK, France, Canada, Australia and Portugal recognising the state of Palestine in response to Israel’s continued war on Gaza and settlement building in the West Bank.

“I’m going with my wife to the UN general assembly and to Washington. At the UN general assembly I’m telling our truth — the citizens of Israel, the truth of the IDF soldiers, of our country. I will denounce those leaders who, instead of denouncing the murderers, rapists and child burners, want to give them a state in the heart of the Land of Israel. That will not happen,” Netanyahu said at Ben Gurion airport on Thursday morning ahead of his speech on Friday.

Netanyahu will meet President Trump in Washington on Monday. The Trump administration has condemned moves by western powers to recognise a Palestinian state. Trump is, however, expected to warn Netanyahu to moderate his response.
