Budgets are real. Cartoons and movies are not.
Bad actor.
Even if was cheap to buy, you have to feed it and someone has to drive it 12 hours a day in some really high stress operations. It looks like a warthog…maybe a secure warthog, but still a warthog.
You only need Bearcats every now and then on callouts usually. Driving a Bearcat Jr. all day everyday would get old AF.
Give me a cruiser that has very good acceleration, even better brakes, and sticks to corners like it's on rails. Let it be efficient enough that one fill up lasts the whole shift including the ride home and back to the pumps for the next one. No gas hogs that have to be filled up again mid-shift. Let it have enough storage to hold all the mandated sh*t that has to be carried, while still having a secure cage that'll hold at least two prisoners and is easy to clean and search after transports. Lots of little stuff folks who don't operate these things wouldn't know about. Much rather have easy to live with than cool looking, but both is nice.
