Letters likely fake… The spacing is something you see in Microsoft Word, it does this annoying thing where it adds additional spaces to avoid words needing to be hyphenated or large gaps. Just saying, looks fake to me,

Disagree, they have online things to make it look old, hence why the most important detail is the oddball Microsoft Word spacing. Had an old antique typewriter growing up, loved playing w/it, the spacing is perfect, the letters being higher/lower is wear dependant and/or fast slow typing. No matter how I look at it, looks fake. In fact, if you had such faded letters, you there was a key to back up and strike it again to get it darker. So if it's real, AH was a shitty typist, lousy future wife and clearly a poor judge of navigators, just saying.
Lol, I'm not wrong, depending on the typewriter, a light strike will leave a light letter, you can then back up and restrike the letter (on some) typewriters. Some did reuse/overuse the tape causing fading. This could be the case but the goofy spacing is a known thing Microsoft does, it's not something a normal or even amateur typist would do. Why would you add intentional extra spaces to adjust the width of the line you are typing but then ignore typo's and light strikes? I was just pointing it out, if this is a hill you wish to die on, be my guest, it's not for me, just an observation that we shall continue to disagree on and that's okay.
