Some of us Gen Z anons questioned the narrative and think for ourselves.

We know God has a chosen people, but the Israel of today is not the same. When Israel and its leaders don’t follow God, they get stupid prizes.

When Israel disobeyed God in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, the consequences were consistent and often severe.

Loss of God’s Presence and Favor

God withdrew His protection and blessings.

His glory departed from the temple (Ezekiel 10).

Military Defeats and Foreign Oppression

Enemies triumphed over Israel when they turned to idolatry or broke covenant.

Examples: Philistine victories (1 Samuel 4), Midianite oppression (Judges 6).

Exile and Scattering

Northern Kingdom (Israel) exiled by Assyria (722 BCE).

Southern Kingdom (Judah) exiled by Babylon (586 BCE).

Being scattered among nations was foretold in Deuteronomy 28 and fulfilled in stages.

Famine, Pestilence, and Natural Disasters

Crops failed, droughts came, and locusts destroyed food when the people turned from God (e.g., Joel 1, Amos 4).

God withheld rain (1 Kings 17) as discipline.

Social Breakdown

Internal strife, injustice, and corruption grew when people abandoned God’s law.

Prophets denounced greed, idolatry, and exploitation of the poor (Isaiah 1, Amos 5).

Loss of Kingship and Land

The monarchy was broken, the temple destroyed, and the people lost the Promised Land.

God’s covenant blessings were suspended because of disobedience.

Spiritual Consequences

Hardened hearts and blindness to God’s truth.

Prophets described them as “stiff-necked” and unwilling to repent.

Ultimate Covenant Curses (Deuteronomy 28; Leviticus 26)

These included disease, siege, captivity, humiliation before nations, and becoming a “byword” among peoples.

If we can unify our Generations and not let others divide we are stronger.
