France's former finance minister, Bruno Le Maire, who was appointed head of the Ministry of the Armed Forces on Sunday, announced his resignation less than 24 hours after taking the job, amid ongoing political turmoil that rattled stocks and bonds in Paris on Monday.

Bloomberg noted, "President Emmanuel Macron's decision late Sunday to return Le Maire to a ministerial post, in charge of defense, sparked a political backlash, including from within the administration."

By Monday evening, Le Maire wrote on X that President Macron accepted his resignation and expressed hope that his departure would help efforts to form a new government, reaffirming his ongoing commitment to serving France and the public interest:

My decision to join the government was taken solely out of a sense of duty, in grave geopolitical circumstances, to serve France and the French people.

I note that my decision is provoking incomprehensible, false, and disproportionate reactions in some quarters.

No individual situation must block the proper functioning of the country and our institutions.

Under these conditions, I proposed to the President of the Republic at the end of the morning to withdraw from the government without delay and to transfer my responsibilities as Minister of the Armed Forces to the Prime Minister.

The President of the Republic has accepted my proposal.

I hope that this decision will allow discussions to resume with a view to forming a new government, which France needs.

My commitment to serving France and the French people will always be guided by concern for the general interest and the State.

A federal judge has since issued a temporary restraining order compelling OpenAI to scrub all "io" references from public-facing platforms and marketing content. OpenAI dismisses the lawsuit as baseless and insists the legal dispute won't derail either the acquisition or ongoing product development.

The U.S. Government Doesn't Want You To Read This Report on Israel's Business Deals

The report submitted to the U.N. details how Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories has evolved into an “economy of genocide.”

The U.S. government doesn't want you to read what Francesca Albanese, the U.N. special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, has to say. In July 2025, the State Department announced that it was going to freeze her assets for her "lawfare that targets U.S. and Israeli persons."

Albanese, the State Department press release noted, had "directly engaged with the International Criminal Court (ICC)" at The Hague "in efforts to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute nationals of the United States or Israel, without the consent of those two countries." And she had "recently escalated this effort by writing threatening letters to dozens of entities worldwide, including major American companies across finance, technology, defense, energy, and hospitality, making extreme and unfounded accusations."

A few weeks earlier, Albanese had submitted her report to the U.N. Human Rights Council, "From Economy of Occupation to Economy of Genocide." It accuses several global companies of profiting "from the Israeli economy of illegal occupation, apartheid and now genocide," including Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Palantir, Caterpillar, and even Booking.com. (The report also mentions that companies have been asked for comment, which appears to be the "threatening letters" referred to by the State Department.)

Whether or not one accepts Albanese's characterization of Israel's actions, the report itself is an interesting read on the economics of war. The report details how some firms profit directly from providing the state with the tools to inflict violence while others take advantage of the state's monopoly on violence to grab a monopoly on resources. Albanese calls for international sanctions, legal action, and consumer boycotts aimed at changing these companies' behavior.

The U.S. government's attempts to stop the report from being published in the 
first place make it especially worth reading.
Politicians have long wanted to erode Americans' right to vote with their wallets, and they've used boycotts of Israel as a test case to introduce wide-ranging anti-boycott laws. By accusing the United Nations of "lawfare" for simply printing a report, the government is attacking the right of consumers and investors to hear information that lets them make politically conscious decisions.

The Palestinian rights movement has made boycotts a central pillar of its activism, but the actual choice of targets has often been sloppy and incoherent. Activists have gone after Coca-Cola and Pepsi as vague symbols of America and Starbucks over a union dispute that tangentially involved Palestinian symbolism. The infamous protests at Columbia University focused on cutting
indirect ties to weapons companies.

Doxed man launches petition to have sovereign citizens declared domestic terrorists

Terry — whose name has been changed to protect his identity — began looking into sovereign citizens a few years ago after a friend expressed interest in the movement.

After doing some amateur research, he became aware that a prominent member of the movement lived in his neighbourhood.

"He saw me down the street, he tracked me back to my house, and then just doxed me," he said.

"He told me where my eight-year-old daughter went to school."

Terry, who regularly posts on YouTube, said his address and mobile number were posted on a social media page with a large sovereign citizen following.

"I had no choice but to hide my family," he said.

Terry said his family moved house, and his daughter is now homeschooled.

He said he still received online harassment from sovereign citizens, ranging from people threatening to find out where he lived, to death threats.

"My wife and young family live in fear that what I do will come back in the long run," he said.

Israeli Official Who Fled US After Pedo Sting Indicted; Trump DHS Appointee Is His Lawyer

A senior official in Israel's cybersecurity agency who was arrested in a child sex sting in August has been indicted by a Clark County grand jury on Friday, six weeks after he was mysteriously allowed to flee the United States back to Israel.

Tom Alexandrovich, who helps guide Israel's cybersecurity policy, was representing Israel at Black Hat USA, a professional conference in Las Vegas, when he was one of seven people swept up in a major, multi-agency sting operation targeting pedophiles soliciting sex acts with minors. According to court records, on Aug 6, the 38-year-old Alexandrovich allegedly committed the felony offense of using computer technology in an attempt to lure a child into sexual abuse. That particular crime encompasses children under 16. The next day, he posted a $10,000 bond at the Henderson Detention Center and fled the fucking country.

Online court records show that Alexandrovich is expected to appear on Oct. 15 for an initial arraignment, and is being represented by Las Vegas-based defense attorney David Chesnoff - who President Trump appointed to a position on the Homeland Security Advisory Council.

Why is an alleged Israeli high-level government pedophile being represented by a Trump nominee? Chesnoff also represented an Israeli dual citizen who pleaded guilty to lying about the Bidens taking a $5 million bribe from Burisma. Really weird.

In any event, according to the indictment, Alexandrovich "willfully, unlawfully and knowingly" with an undercover FBI agent, whom he believed was under 16, with the intent to "solicit, persuade or lure" them into sexual conduct through online apps such as WhatsApp and Pure, the latter of which is an app that allows users to "date, play and misbehave" anonymously.

As the news broke six weeks ago, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reflexively denied Alexandrovich had done anything wrong, claiming that “the employee, who does not hold a diplomatic visa, was not arrested and returned to Israel as scheduled." Subsequently confronted with court records, Israel's Cyber Directorate said the earlier false statement “was accurate based on the information provided to us," and that Alexandrovich is now on leave "by mutual decision."

As we noted at the time of his arrest, it's not clear why or how he was allowed to return to Israel, which has a reputation as a haven for pedophiles who prey on American children. Citing a Jewish watchdog group, a 2020 CBS News report found that, in just the previous six years, more than 60 Jewish Americans who'd been accused of pedophilia had fled to Israel, taking advantage of Israel's "Right of Return" law that lets any Jewish individual in the world enjoy instant citizenship (though they are still subject to extradition).
