Three Germans arrested in Norway over drone incident – Bild

A Chinese national has also been deported for flying a UAV near an airport, police have said

 

Three Germans have been arrested in Norway for allegedly launching a drone in a prohibited zone around an airport, Bild has reported.

 

The outlet cited local media as saying the three men were detained on Tuesday and released shortly afterwards. It did not identify the men or the type of UAV involved in the incident near Rossvoll Airport.

 

Separately, Norwegian police confirmed that a Chinese national was deported and fined 12,000 kroner ($1,200) after allegedly flying a drone near Svolvaer Airport in the north of the country. Authorities said they are continuing to investigate multiple reports of drone activity near airports, military facilities and other critical infrastructure.

 

The incidents come as Western Europe has been plagued by repeated drone sightings in recent weeks, forcing temporary shutdowns at several airports. In Belgium, authorities confirmed that 15 drones were detected above the Elsenborn military base in Liege Province. Munich Airport in Germany was temporarily closed on Friday after unidentified drones were reported in its airspace. Scandinavian airports have also reported incursions.

 

Western media and officials have suggested that Russia is behind the drone incidents. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson claimed it is “quite probable” Moscow is responsible, although he admitted this has not been proven. European leaders have cited the incidents as justification for boosting military spending and creating a so-called “drone wall.”

 

Moscow has rejected any connection to the incidents. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described the accusations as Western fearmongering used to whip up anti-Russian hysteria. Russian officials have argued that such claims are intended to justify inflated military budgets and escalate tensions.

 

Speaking at the Valdai Forum on Thursday, President Vladimir Putin said Russia does not even have drones capable of reaching the countries in question and insisted there are no military targets for Moscow in Europe. He called the accusations another attempt by the West to escalate the situation around the Ukraine conflict.

 

Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has also warned that Kiev could attempt to stage drone provocations as false-flag operations designed to blame Moscow and draw NATO into direct conflict with Russia.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt: The financial backing of these groups, particularly Antifa, is certainly something the administration is looking into aggressively, and the federal government has never really been mobilized or tasked with doing that, so we're kind of kick starting that into gear. The FBI is working on it, alongside the White House's Homeland Security Task Force. We have our intelligence community looking into this as well, and even the secretary of the Treasury is involved with these matters since they are financial in nature. And we will continue to get to the bottom of who is funding these organizations, and this organized anarchy, against our country and our government. Key Russian oil refinery halts largest unit after drone attack, Reuters reports

The Kirishi oil refinery in Russia's Leningrad region has shut down its largest unit following a drone attack, Reuters reports.

Sources told the agency that Kirishi, one of the key refineries in Russia, stopped its most productive crude distillation unit, CDU-6, after a drone attack and a subsequent fire on Saturday, October 4.

 

Reuters notes that it will take about a month to restore the unit's operation. The unit has a capacity of 8 million metric tons per year, or 160,000 barrels per day—about 40% of the refinery’s total processing capacity.

The Kirishi refinery's total capacity is 20.1 million tons of crude oil per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, and other petroleum products.

Its shutdown could lead to a drop in fuel production amid a fuel shortage in Russia. Russia is struggling with shortages of some popular types of gasoline due to repeated attacks by Ukrainian drones.

 

Attacks on Kirishi refinery

On the night of Saturday, October 4, the Kirishi oil refinery was hit by Ukraine's Special Operations Forces along with the Russian rebel movement.

Earlier, on the night of September 14, drones also attacked the Kirishi refinery. The Drone Forces reported that the strike caused a large fire. After this strike, it significantly reduced oil processing.

Previously, the refinery was attacked on the night of March 8, when debris from a downed drone damaged the exterior of one of the storage tanks.

Chinese illegal immigrants are obtaining commercial driver’s licenses (CDL) and landing jobs in the U.S. trucking industry with support from a Chinese government-linked network, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation discovered.

 

The Chinese American Trucker Organization USA Inc. (CATOU) is a New York-based nonprofit trade organization registered as a 501(c)6 that has allegedly helped over 1,000 Chinese students obtain CDLs and has a 100% pass rate, according to its business filings, social media posts and website. Videos posted on social media by an individual who crossedthe U.S. southern border illegally shows they were able to rapidly obtain California CDLs after taking courses taught by CATOU instructors.

 

The public safety concern presented by truckers with unknown criminal backgrounds and driving records is compounded by CATOU’s board chairwoman, Geng Hang, who has held leadership roles within organizations operating as arms of the Chinese government and a Chinese Communist Party(CCP) influence and intelligence agency called the United Front Work Department (UFWD), according to DCNF translations of announcements from those entities.

“No way American citizens voted for the California gateway for illegal migrants to operate heavy vehicles throughout America. That of itself is a public safety and homeland security concern,” Steve Yates, senior research fellow for China and national security policy at the Heritage Foundation, told the DCNF.

 

“Having a large CCP-tied network further train, certify, and place ‘their’ illegal migrants throughout vital surface shipping routes — urban, rural, and interstate — elevates national security risks,” Yates said. “At a time of high tension, crisis, or conflict with the CCP, what confidence could we have this network could not and would not be used against us?”

 

CATOU and Geng did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

 

‘Not One Has Failed So Far’

 

Chinese social media posts show CATOU instructors teaching students about the trucking industry inside the New York office of Red Apple Employment Agency, which is also led by Geng, and helps Chinese nationals both with and “without proper status” find work for “$80 to $100 per job placement,” The Wall Street Journal reported in July 2024.

 

While the DCNF found no New York business filing for Red Apple Employment Agency, the agency’s office displays signs featuring both CATOU and its name, videos posted by CATOU on Chinese social media reveal.

 

CATOU members have also taught truck driving courses at 7 CDL Driving School in Manassas, Virginia, videos within posts from the X account @tiange999 show. The driving school shares its address with a trucking company that Geng owns called Red Apple Enterprises Inc., according to business filings and 7 CDL’s website.

 

“The driving school where I’m studying has trained over 1,000 Chinese students and not one has failed so far,” @tiange999 wrote in a September 2024 X post featuring videos filmed with a CATOU instructor at 7 CDL Driving School, according to a DCNF translation. “Experienced students can pass in just one week, while those with no driving experience pass in about a month.”

 

The @tiange999 account is operated by a Chinese national who traveled up from South America and Central America into North America before crossing the U.S. southern border in June 2023. The owner of the account has since referred to himself as someone who “walked the line,” which is a “euphemism for illegal migration out of China,” Simon Hankinson, senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation’s Center For Border Security and Immigration, testified during a May 2024 hearing held by the House Committee on Homeland Security’s Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability.

 

Roughly 8.5 million illegal aliens were encountered at the U.S. southern border during the Biden administration, including over 182,000 Chinese nationals from fiscal years 2021-2024, a spokeswoman for Customs and Border Protection told the DCNF.

 

The @tiange999 account also features videos detailing how he passed the CDL test at 7 CDL Driving School and ultimately obtained CDL qualification in less than two months after first announcing he’d received a California driver’s license in August 2024.

CATOU’s chairwoman, Geng, has served as an official in multiple organizations advancing Chinese influence and intelligence efforts in the U.S., including one entity that has held meetings in the New York office shared by CATOU and Red Apple Employment Agency, according to DCNF translations of Chinese media reports, social media posts, and the organizations’ announcements.

 

Among other Chinese government-tied leadership positions, the website of a New York nonprofit called the American Shaanxi General Chamber of Commerce (ASGCC) identifies Geng as its deputy chairwoman, according to a DCNF translation. ASGCC operates as a branch of the Shaanxi provincial Department of Commerce as well as a “sister association” of a UFWD arm called the China Overseas Friendship Association (COFA), according to DCNF translations of ASGCC and COFA announcements.

 

ASGCC has repeatedly met with Chinese government officials, including in June 2009, when the nonprofit welcomed a delegation from the Shaanxi government and the UFWD‘s Chinese People’s Association For Friendship With Foreign Countriesto discuss U.S. investment in China, according to DCNF translations of ASGCC announcements. Geng presented the delegation’s head with flowers at the airport, and she and other ASGCC members later serenaded the officials with songs like “Nanniwan,” which commemorates the CCP and Chinese military, according to Chinese state media.

 

Photos accompanying a January 2015 social media post made by ASGCC’s chairman also show ASGCC has held meetings within the shared New York office of CATOU and Red Apple Employment Agency.

 

“We are slowly giving over our entire trucking industry to foreign actors,” Gord Magill, a truck industry writer, told the DCNF.

 

“I think foreign actors are fully aware that America’s corporations engaging in wage arbitrage and wage suppressionagainst their own people are presenting opportunities for them to extract and scrape value out of the U.S. and give them some kind of strategic advantage in knowing exactly how our transportation systems work, and they’re just leveraging it for their own ends at the cost of American jobs and American motorists’ safety,” Magill said.

Drones target multiple military and industrial facilities across Russia

On the night of October 6, drones struck several military-industrial facilities in Russia. According to Ukrinform, the ASTRA Telegram channel reported this.

In Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, drones targeted the Sverdlov Explosives Plant.

 

“Overnight, air defense forces repelled an attack by 20 drones in the industrial zone of Dzerzhinsk. According to preliminary reports, debris caused injuries to one person.

There is no life-threatening danger, and the injured is receiving all necessary medical assistance,” said Gleb Nikitin, governor of Nizhny Novgorod region.

 

He added that falling debris had also caused several small fires in the private sector, which had been extinguished.

Additionally, drones attacked the Klintsy Thermal Power Plant in Bryansk region overnight on October 6.

 

In Krasnodar krai, two people were injured due to drone attacks.

“In the Tuapsinsky municipal district, drone debris fell on the territory of the Tuapse Oil Refinery, causing a fire in a security building, which was promptly extinguished.

Two people were injured and hospitalized,” the operational headquarters of Krasnodar krai reported.

 

Local residents also reported a fire at an oil refinery in Feodosia, in temporarily occupied Crimea, following drone strikes.

Overall, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its air defenses had shot down 251 Ukrainian drones that night.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, several airports in Russia temporarily suspended operations overnight on October 6.

Medvedev: Europeans should ‘crap themselves with fear’ over drones

One of President Putin’s senior allies has admitted that Russia could be responsible for a wave of drones at European airports and military bases that he said had caused people in Nato countries to “crap themselves with fear”.

Dmitry Medvedev, a former president and prime minister who is now deputy head of Russia’s national security council, stopped just short of saying that Moscow was behind the drone scares.

However, he said they were to be welcomed as they had brought home the “danger of war” to Europeans.

 

Mysterious drones have been spotted at airports, military installations and critical infrastructure in the Nato member states of Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Norway, Lithuania and Sweden since Nato fighter jets shot down Russian drones inside Poland last month.

Friedrich Merz, the German chancellor, said on Sunday that he assumed Russia was behind most of the drones.

 

Listing five possible explanations for the “epidemic” of sightings, Medvedev said the drones may have been launched by Russia, by Ukrainian forces, undercover Kremlin agents in Europe, local troublemakers or by European security services as a test of anti-drone defences.

“The causes of this panic around ‘Russian drones’ could be any of the listed reasons or a combination of them,” Medvedev wrote. “[But] that’s not the main thing.

The main thing is that the shortsighted Europeans should feel on their own skin what the danger of war is. So that they fear and tremble like stupid animals in a herd being driven to the slaughter. So that they crap themselves with fear.”

 

Medvedev tried to play down the possibility that pro-Russian “agents and moles” were responsible, saying that they were waiting for a “separate command” before going into action. He did not give details.

He also said he hoped that concerns about the drones would cause people in France and Germany to “tear the heads off” Merz and President Macron for their military support of Ukraine.

However, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman said after Medvedev’s post that Russia had nothing to do with the drone sightings.

 

“There are many politicians in Europe who are now inclined to blame Russia for everything. They do so unreasonably, indiscriminately,” he said. “There is no reason to blame Russia for this.”

His comments came after Putin had laughed off claims that Russia was behind the drone sightings. “I won’t send any more.

Not to France, not to Denmark, and not to Copenhagen,” he said when asked about the incidents at a forum in Sochi, the Black Sea resort city, last week.

 

Analysts noted that Putin also initially sought to deny that the troops who seized Crimea from Ukraine in 2014 were Russian soldiers.

Instead, he said the soldiers were local self-defence forces who had purchased military uniforms that made them look like Russian troops. He later admitted that Russia had deployed the soldiers.

Western leaders have warned that Russia could be planning to attack a Nato member state in the next few years.

Although Putin has denied the allegation, he has also said that western military support for Ukraine means that the West is already “at war” with Russia.

 

Once known as a relative liberal, Medvedev has transformed into one of Moscow’s biggest hawks since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine.

However, despite his role as second-in-command in Russia’s powerful security council, he holds no real power.

He will visit North Korea this week as the head of a Russian delegation from Putin’s ruling United Russia party.

More than 100,000 Western-made components were discovered in drones and missiles launched by Russia against Ukraine overnight on Oct. 5, President Volodymyr Zelensky said a day after.

This revelation highlights the continued presence of Western technology in Moscow's weapons, despite years of sanctions.

 

Russian troops launched around 500 drones and more than 50 missiles in a large-scale attack on Ukraine, targeting settlements across the country, including those far from the front lines in the west.

The strike killed at least six people, including an entire family of four, and left 18 others injured.

 

According to Zelensky, the attack drones contained 100,688 foreign-made components. Around 1,500 were found in Iskander missiles, 192 in Kinzhal ballistic missiles, and 405 in Kalibr cruise missiles.

These components were reportedly manufactured by companies based in the U.S., China, Taiwan, the U.K., Germany, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, and the Netherlands.

 

Ukraine's partners already have detailed information on every company and every product involved, Zelensky said. He added that Kyiv is also working on new sanctions targeting individuals and entities aiding Russia.

"It is crucial to shut down every scheme that circumvents sanctions, because Russia uses each one to keep killing. The world has the power to stop this," Zelensky said.

 

While Western countries have banned the export of many dual-use components to Russia, Moscow has adapted to sanctions by relying on smuggling networks and other schemes to obtain restricted goods.

Vladyslav Vlasiuk, the Ukrainian president’s commissioner for sanctions, previously said that most foreign parts found in Russian weapons used on the battlefield in Ukraine originate from China.

Europe believes Russia is behind a spate of mysterious drone sightings across the continent but "can't prove it," Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof told the Kyiv Independent on Oct. 6.

Speaking during a visit to Kyiv, Schoof was asked if there was a consensus among European countries about who was responsible.

 

"Yes of course," he said, adding: "Unfortunately, we cannot prove who is behind it, but there's a lot of thinking that maybe it's the Russians, but we cannot prove it."

Over the last few weeks, drones have violated the airspace of at least eight European countries — Denmark, Lithuania, Finland, Estonia, Romania, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

 

Several airports including the Netherlands' Schiphol Airport have been forced to temporarily halt flights. At Germany's Munich Airport on Oct. 2, when drone sightings grounded 17 flights and affected nearly 3,000 passengers.

Drones have also been sighted over military bases and energy infrastructure including the Karup Air Base in Denmark, and a power plant in Finland.

 

"I hope that one day we can prove either it's the Russians or it's something else," Schoof said, adding:

"But it is really worrying that they are now around our infrastructure, around our airports, and I think we have to step up our security in that respect."

The wave of sightings has raised concerns amid heightened tensions between Moscow and NATO following a series of Russian airspace violations.

 

Speaking at the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi, Russia, on Oct. 2, President Vladimir Putin mocked European concern over drone sightings.

When asked by a moderator, "Why have you sent so many drones to Denmark?” Putin laughed and replied, "I won’t do it anymore."

He denied Russian involvement in recent drone activity and likened the sightings to UFO reports.

 

In September, Polish forces shot down several Russian drones that entered their airspace. Days later, a Russian drone breached Romanian territory, though Bucharest chose not to engage it.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sept. 28 that intelligence reports indicate Russia's so-called "shadow fleet" of oil tankers is being used to "launch and control" Russian drones over European cities.

German outlet Spiegel reported on Oct. 2 that investigators are examining potential links between the unidentified drones spotted over northern Germany.

Negotiations between Israel and Hamas on a potential ceasefire and hostage deal began Monday in Sharm el-Sheikh, with a senior official predicting that the first round will last several days as both sides work to finalize a comprehensive agreement.

The talks come one week after U.S. President Donald Trump unveiled his plan to end the war in Gaza.

Under the proposal, Hamas terrorists would release all 48 hostages they are holding in exchange for 250 Palestinian security prisoners and a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.

 

“The negotiations will last at least several days, if not longer,” said a senior official familiar with the discussions, speaking with Reuters. The official said the objective is to reach a full and detailed accord before implementing a ceasefire, not a temporary or partial truce.

The Israeli delegation includes Deputy Shin Bet chief “M,” the government’s coordinator for hostages and missing persons Gal Hirsch, retired Maj. Gen. Nitzan Alon, the prime minister’s political adviser Ophir Falk, and representatives from the Mossad and the Israel Defense Forces.

The team is scheduled to arrive in Sharm el-Sheikh later Monday, with formal talks expected to begin at 4 p.m.

 

Later this week, Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff are expected to join the discussions.

Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, who leads Israel’s negotiating team, is set to join the talks around the same time, depending on developments. Egypt and Qatar are serving as mediators.

The Hamas delegation, led by senior terrorist and chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya, arrived in Egypt on Sunday night. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed cautious optimism before the negotiations, saying, “I hope we can finish this the simple way.”

 

A senior Israeli official said a quick agreement is unlikely because both sides are seeking to finalize every element of the deal before implementation begins.

This time, according to officials, mediators will attempt to close gaps between Israel and Hamas across a range of disputed issues, including the pace of the IDF withdrawal from Gaza and the transition of governance from Hamas to an international force.

 

A senior Palestinian official told the Saudi-based Al-Hadath network that Hamas is insisting on the release of six prominent prisoners, including Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti and Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Secretary-General Ahmad Sa’adat.

Hamas is also demanding the return of displaced residents to the Gaza Strip and plans to coordinate the transfer of hostages with other factions.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt avoids giving a deadline for the indirect talks that commenced today in Egypt between Israel and Hamas aimed at reaching an agreement on US President Donald Trump’s proposal for ending the war in Gaza.

“There are technical talks happening right now in Egypt among Special Envoy Witkoff and Mr. [Jared] Kushner as well as respective parties from all sides,” Leavitt says during a press briefing.

An Arab diplomat told The Times of Israel, though, that while Witkoff and Kushner are in Egypt, they will only be personally joining the negotiations when they are ready to be finalized.

 

Today’s first day of the talks is mainly for allowing the sides to lay out their positions and for mediators to identify what the remaining gaps are and how to close them, the diplomat says.

Leavitt notes that “All sides of this conflict [already] agree that this war needs to end and agree to the 20-point framework that President Trump proposed.”

 

“The administration is working very hard to move the ball forward as quickly as we can. The president wants to see a ceasefire. He wants to see the hostages released.”

“The technical teams are discussing that as we speak to ensure that the environment is perfect to release the hostages.”

 

“They’re going over the list of both the Israeli hostages and also the political prisoners who will be released,” she says, in what appears to be the first time that a Trump official has referred to Palestinian security prisoners as such.

However, it seems more likely a slip of the tongue, rather than a new policy decision.

 

Pressed on whether the October 5 deadline that Trump set for Hamas to respond to his Gaza proposal is still in effect, Leavitt notes that Hamas already, on Friday, “put out a very clear statement in the president’s view that they accept the president’s framework, and that’s why those technical talks are underway.”

Pressed on a timeline for how long talks in Egypt will last, Leavitt avoids getting specific.

 

“It’s important that we get this done quickly so that we can get some momentum, get the hostages out, and then move to the next part of this, which is ensuring that we can create a lasting, durable peace in Gaza and ensure that Gaza is no longer a place that threatens the security of Israel or the United States,” she says, apparently splitting Trump’s Gaza proposal into two — with the first part being the release of the hostages and the second part being the post-war management of Gaza.

 

Claiming that the Palestinian population is “radicalized,” a reporter asks Leavitt to identify the Palestinians that the US wants to serve on the transitional government of Palestinian technocrats that will administer Gaza after the war.

“We’re not quite there yet,” Leavitt responds, explaining that Trump believes peace is possible, which is why he presented his 20-point plan for ending the war last week.

“What you need to have peace in a region like Gaza that has been war-torn for far too long, [is] security guarantees and good governance, so those will be two of the main priorities that this administration is focused on,” she adds.

The U.S. government doesn't want you to read what Francesca Albanese, the U.N. special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, has to say. In July 2025, the State Department announced that it was going to freeze her assets for her "lawfare that targets U.S. and Israeli persons."

 

Albanese, the State Department press release noted, had "directly engaged with the International Criminal Court (ICC)" at The Hague "in efforts to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute nationals of the United States or Israel, without the consent of those two countries." And she had "recently escalated this effort by writing threatening letters to dozens of entities worldwide, including major American companies across finance, technology, defense, energy, and hospitality, making extreme and unfounded accusations."

 

A few weeks earlier, Albanese had submitted her report to the U.N. Human Rights Council, "From Economy of Occupation to Economy of Genocide." It accuses several global companies of profiting "from the Israeli economy of illegal occupation, apartheid and now genocide," including Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Palantir, Caterpillar, and even Booking.com. (The report also mentions that companies have been asked for comment, which appears to be the "threatening letters" referred to by the State Department.)

 

Whether or not one accepts Albanese's characterization of Israel's actions, the report itself is an interesting read on the economics of war. The report details how some firms profit directly from providing the state with the tools to inflict violence while others take advantage of the state's monopoly on violence to grab a monopoly on resources. Albanese calls for international sanctions, legal action, and consumer boycotts aimed at changing these companies' behavior.

 

The U.S. government's attempts to stop the report from being published in the

Flight operations were temporarily suspended at the International airport in Imphal in Manipur, on Monday afternoon after a drone was sighted, raising security concerns, officials said.

A senior official of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) said that an IndiGo flight from Agartala to Imphal reported the sighting of a drone on its final approach path from the city side, at an altitude between 3,600 and 4,000 feet.

"In view of the report, flight operations at Imphal International Airport were temporarily suspended as a precautionary safety measure. Normal operations resumed only after the incident was promptly reported to Manipur Police and necessary security clearance was obtained from Manipur Police," the official said.

 

The AAI official said that the public is strictly advised not to operate drones in and around the airport vicinity, including Imphal City (East and West), Nambol, and Bishnupur areas.

Unauthorised drone operations pose a serious risk to aircraft safety, may lead to the temporary closure of the airport, and cause significant inconvenience to passengers, he said.

The AAI official cautioned that any violation of drone operation regulations will invite strict legal action in accordance with applicable laws.

Ensuring the safety and security of passengers and aircraft operations remains our highest priority, he added.

 

Located 6 km from the capital city (Imphal), Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal (Manipur) operates flights connecting Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Agartala and other cities of the country.

Imphal West district Superintendent of Police Shivakanta Singh, while urging people not to fly drones in areas adjacent to the airport, said, "If anyone is found flying a drone between Sanjenthong and Kwakeithel, please inform the police immediately so that it can be brought down. It is affecting flight movement."

He cautioned that violations of drone regulations will invite strict legal action under the law. Last year, Assam Rifles had deployed anti-drone systems in the fringe areas of Imphal Valley in Manipur to repel any "rogue drones".

Oslo Airport flights disrupted by new drone sightings

Flights at Oslo Airport were disrupted after pilots reported suspected drones in the early hours of Monday.

Several flights were delayed at Oslo’s main airport Gardermoen although the incident did not result in diversions, as was the case in a similar incident involving drone sightings at the airport last month.

“We received a report at 12:16am when a pilot from the airline Norwegian suspected seeing drones during the approach to the airport,” the regional police district lead officer Gisle Sveen told news agency NTB.

 

The observation has not been verified. Police are speaking to the aircraft’s crew, he said. Up to 3-5 drones may have been observed but this remains unconfirmed, he added.

“Regardless, we have to take this seriously,” he said. "The status at the moment is that we are at the investigation stage to clarify what was observed," he told broadcaster NRK.

 

Passengers who contacted NRK said that their flight had circled the area around Gardermoen because of the reported drone observations.

Normal service resumed at the airport from 1:30am on Monday, the police and Oslo Airport's operator Avinor said.

 

Repeated flights have disrupted airports in Denmark and Germany as well as Norway over the last two weeks. The source of the drones remains unknown.

Drones have also been spotted in several other locations across Norway in recent weeks, including Ørland Air Station, Brønnøysund Airport, and the Sleipner oil platform in the North Sea.

Missouri Witness Reports 3 UFOs Flying Low Over Lake Wappapello

I have a pretty good instinct that tells me if someone is telling the truth or not.

I sense that a story just shared from near Lake Wappapello in Missouri is legit as a camp director swears to have seen 3 lights moving strangely over the lake and I believe they sincerely believe what they're saying.

This is the beautiful Lake Wappapello State Park area in Missouri located northeast of Poplar Bluff

 

According to the National UFO Reporting Center, an eyewitness saw something odd over Lake Wappapello in Missouri around 9pm the night of October 2, 2025. Here's a snippet of their exact words explaining what they saw:

"I was sitting on a dock on the Northern shore of Lake Wappapello from about 8:45-10:00pm on Thursday, Oct 2, 2025.

I was looking at the sky because I was making a star map for a camp I am running this weekend and wanted to ensure it was accurate.

 

While working on the Western sky portion, I observed a yellow/gold circular light rise above the tree-line to the Northwest of the lake."

It was then that they saw what they thought was a low-flying craft, but then it began to dart left and right quickly before returning to its original spot.

"This happened again 3 times over the course of an hour, however on the last time I observed 3 objects—one that appeared like the original and then two that flew in a similar pattern Northwest of the object."

 

The report says the object zoomed off and disappeared in a matter of seconds leaving them clueless as to what they had witnessed. They also realize their story sounds beyond belief.

"I feel like I sound crazy and I am afraid no one will believe me, but I am really confused about what it was I was seeing. I’m a camp director and have spent so many nights outside stargazing but have never seen something like this."

 

It's very important to note that this person reported the sighting within a couple hours of experiencing what they saw. Any detective will tell you that the most reliable testimony is that which is captured as close to the event as possible.

I also believe that a camp director like this person is would know what's normal in a night sky and what is not. It begs the question what are these strange objects that are more frequently being seen over Missouri and what are their intentions?

Israeli Official Who Fled US After Pedo Sting Indicted; Trump DHS Appointee Is His Lawyer

 

A senior official in Israel's cybersecurity agency who was arrested in a child sex sting in August has been indicted by a Clark County grand jury on Friday, six weeks after he was mysteriously allowed to flee the United States back to Israel.

 

Tom Alexandrovich, who helps guide Israel's cybersecurity policy, was representing Israel at Black Hat USA, a professional conference in Las Vegas, when he was one of seven people swept up in a major, multi-agency sting operation targeting pedophiles soliciting sex acts with minors. According to court records, on Aug 6, the 38-year-old Alexandrovich allegedly committed the felony offense of using computer technology in an attempt to lure a child into sexual abuse. That particular crime encompasses children under 16. The next day, he posted a $10,000 bond at the Henderson Detention Center and fled the fucking country.

 

Online court records show that Alexandrovich is expected to appear on Oct. 15 for an initial arraignment, and is being represented by Las Vegas-based defense attorney David Chesnoff - who President Trump appointed to a position on the Homeland Security Advisory Council.

 

Why is an alleged Israeli high-level government pedophile being represented by a Trump nominee? Chesnoff also represented an Israeli dual citizen who pleaded guilty to lying about the Bidens taking a $5 million bribe from Burisma. Really weird.

 

In any event, according to the indictment, Alexandrovich "willfully, unlawfully and knowingly" with an undercover FBI agent, whom he believed was under 16, with the intent to "solicit, persuade or lure" them into sexual conduct through online apps such as WhatsApp and Pure, the latter of which is an app that allows users to "date, play and misbehave" anonymously.

 

As the news broke six weeks ago, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reflexively denied Alexandrovich had done anything wrong, claiming that “the employee, who does not hold a diplomatic visa, was not arrested and returned to Israel as scheduled." Subsequently confronted with court records, Israel's Cyber Directorate said the earlier false statement “was accurate based on the information provided to us," and that Alexandrovich is now on leave "by mutual decision."

 

As we noted at the time of his arrest, it's not clear why or how he was allowed to return to Israel, which has a reputation as a haven for pedophiles who prey on American children. Citing a Jewish watchdog group, a 2020 CBS News report found that, in just the previous six years, more than 60 Jewish Americans who'd been accused of pedophilia had fled to Israel, taking advantage of Israel's "Right of Return" law that lets any Jewish individual in the world enjoy instant citizenship (though they are still subject to extradition).

‘Alien’ DNA found inside humans — it was inserted into our genes, bonkers new study claims

Just in case the idea of aliens walking around in human skin suits wasn’t frightening enough. An outlandish study asserts that aliens might have abducted us and inserted genes into human DNA, with the fallout affecting potentially millions of people.

“Humanity may be undergoing genetic transformation,” lead researcher Dr. Max Rempel, the founder and CEO of the DNA Resonance Research Foundation, told the Daily Mail of the study, which has yet to be peer-reviewed.

 

Rempel came to this far-fetched-seeming conclusion by analyzing DNA from both regular people and those who have claimed to have been abducted by aliens.

This comes following a spike in UFO sightings over the last year, making many fear that we are on the verge of some not-so-friendly close encounters.

The scientist specifically analyzed 581 complete families from the 1,000 Genomes Project, discovering ‘large sequences’ of DNA in 11 families that didn’t appear to correspond to either family.

These genetic aberrations entailed a bundle of 348 non-parental genetic variants. As the subjects were born before 1990, this ruled out human gene-editing technologies like CRISPR, which only emerged in 2013.

 

Rempel also analyzed 23andMe results from individuals who self-identify as alien abductees, discovering that some families showed evidence of non-parental markers.

If this evidence is confirmed to be true, the alien prober feels that “it could be possible to detect which humans carry alien DNA, essentially identifying hybrids.”

In other words, like the premises of every sci-fi flick from “Invasion Of The Body Snatchers” to “They Live,” the aliens are already walking amongst us, camouflaged our genes, per his theory.

 

The extra-terrestrial enthusiast even claimed that noted that a good portion of those with autism, ADHD, and Asperger’s, and other neurodivergent traits could contain these alien insertions, although he noted this is speculation at this point.

He even suggested that these extraterrestrial genetic modifications could bestow humans with unusual abilities like telepathy, much like Ellen Ripley’s psychic abilities in the sci-fi sequel “Alien Resurrection.”

Of course, there are some caveats to this out-there study. Rempel, who holds a PHD from the Institute of Gene Biology in Moscow, Russia, noted that there is “no conclusive evidence yet” as they “need better datasets, which are available only on approval.”

 

“That takes time and effort,” said the scientist, who added that current commercial genotyping services, which rely on array-based data, aren’t precise enough to support such radical claims.

Instead, he advocates for next-generation sequencing (NGS) or whole-genome sequencing (WGS), which can detect novel variants with much higher resolution.

 

Rempel’s hope is to use high-resolution or next-generation sequencing — which can pick up novel variants at a higher resolution — to analyze parents and children who identify as alien abductees and hopefully pinpoint where aliens infiltrated the DNA strand.

Not to mention that the researcher’s theory is in the same wheelhouse as the most fringe alien-hybrid hypotheses floated by tinfoil hat conspiracists, such as the Naza mummies, which reportedly harbor both human and alien DNA.

 

Nigel Watson, author of “Portraits of Alien Encounters Revisited,” urged caution due to the sample size and the challenge of studying those with anecdotal evidence of alien abductions.

‘Alien abduction experiences can stem from a variety of terrestrial factors,” he said. “We need to carefully verify these accounts before drawing conclusions about DNA.”

Nonetheless, Watson believes that further genetic research on volunteer abductees is needed and could potentially prove as “world-shattering as recovering a flying saucer.”

 

In the interim, Rempel believes that possible “alien hybridization” could have major implications for the future of humanity.

“We need to consider how much alien hybridization is healthy for the planet, and which alien races we might give priority,” he said.

Donald Trump has made no secret of his plan to go after George Soros.

Last month he escalated his rhetoric against the billionaire philanthropist, signing a memo that encouraged the US justice department, the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service to investigate funders of “domestic terrorism”, and naming Soros as a potential target.

His administration has also suggested it could revoke the tax exemption enjoyed by non-profit groups that administer gender-affirming care to children or assist “illegal immigration”.

Soros’s Open Society Foundations, now run by his son Alex, sits on $25bn in assets and funds hundreds of non-governmental organisations in the US and around the world. It strongly refutes all allegations of supporting violence or illegality and has vowed to fight “politically motivated attacks on civil society”.

But the White House’s threats are having a chilling effect on the hundreds of thousands of smaller charities and organisations that receive funding from the likes of OSF but lack the resources to take on the Trump administration on their own, several groups told the Financial Times.

“We should all be disturbed that the executive branch has weaponised its power against the charitable non-profit sector,” said Akilah Watkins, president of Independent Sector, which represents a range of non-profits.

“There’s downstream effect. If you are a small community organisation that doesn’t align with the priorities of this administration, you don’t have the high-powered lawyers to defend yourself.”

The groups under threat run the gamut from human rights and pro-democracy campaigners, criminal justice reform advocates, media outlets and providers of public health solutions to marginalised communities.

 

Some have lost staff who quit out of fear of being targeted, or are having trouble recruiting more personnel. Others have rapidly removed references to certain progressive causes from their websites.

“There’s enormous fear right now,” said Sarah Saadian, a senior vice-president at the National Council of Nonprofits. “We’re definitely hearing from non-profits who are really concerned, who are making changes to what they’re saying publicly.”

The administration’s persistent attacks on the sector — which Trump last year claimed was full of “thugs and sleazebags” — have coincided with an increase in violent threats, according to one large philanthropic group.

“Many of our grantees, as well as us as foundations have been having online threats and so forth and we’ve provided security services,” said the group’s leader.

OSF and other large grant-making organisations have been calling their grantees one-by-one in recent weeks, to reassure them of their continued financial, legal and logistical support.

“We encouraged them to stay the course and to know where to find us,” said John Palfrey, president of the MacArthur Foundation. “You’ll see that we’re spending a great deal more money, not less money.”

Some of the smaller charities are more in need of financial support than ever after funding from the US government was cut off because of their support of causes such as diversity and inclusion, climate change and foreign aid.

Watkins said: “With the retrenchment of federal dollars going into the . . . sector, a lot of non-profits are over-reliant now on private foundations. This is almost like a double blow.”

Non-profits in the US are suffering from an exodus of staff. Data compiled by The Chronicle of Philanthropy suggests at least 22,000 jobs were lost in the sector in the first six months of the year, in part because of a funding squeeze.

Such groups are also very vulnerable to changes in tax law. “OSF will survive having its tax-exempt status taken, but many NGOs won’t,” a person close to OSF and Soros said.

In recent weeks, the White House has sought to expand the definition of terrorism, widening the legal strategies at its disposal, and further threatening the public activities of some smaller groups.

Deputy attorney-general Todd Blanche suggested a small group of protesters who shouted at Trump during his recent visit to a Washington restaurant could be part of an organised group seeking to “inflict harm and terror and damage” to the US, and claimed they could face racketeering charges usually reserved for organised crime.…

As clear as it is, the length of the video and the person taking the video's commentary show that this isn't a hoax. At least not one made by the cameraman.

What Was Seen Over The Skies Of Idaho & Utah

According to Scott C. Waring claims on UFO Sightings Daily, a weird "jellyfish" UFO was captured on video in the early morning on Tuesday, September 2nd, around Downey, Idaho.

The video to me doesn't appear to be "Jellyfish" shaped, but more like a blimp or a tied-up white-ish garbage bag. But I wouldn't say this is a blimp or something like a trash sack, and dismiss it.

The movement is too steady and precise to be a bag. And I've never seen a blimp without markings. Then I saw the 2nd video, and whatever it is, it is weird.

 

Is it a UFO (or as the hip term now, "UAP")? I'd say yes, for the fact that it's (as of now) Unidentified, it appears to be Flying, and we see it, so it's an Object, a UFO.

Waring also captured video of an object that looks to be the same object, later that day in Bountiful, Utah (roughly 120 miles away).

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alitotouched on two lightning rod cases Friday in explaining the pitfalls and promises of originalism.

 

The conservative justice mentioned the Obergefell ruling that legalized same-sex marriage and the sweeping presidential immunity ruling the court handed down last year as he opined abouthow adherents to his legal theory of choice can go astray.

 

Originalism, which several justices on the high court embrace, aims to follow the Constitution as it would have been understood when it was written.

 

Alito described himself as a “working judicial originalist,” or ajudge who “strives to achieve originalist aims while working within the framework of our legal system.”

 

It’s a perspective best understood through the process of elimination, he said, asking the small crowd at the annual conference held by Antonin Scalia Law School’s Center for the Study ofthe Administrative State to envision an originalist judge driving down a highway with seven turn signs.

 

“Six of these, in my view, are definitely wrong turns, andthe seventh presents an originalist judge with an important choice,” Alito said.

 

Those wrong turns spanned “insecure” originalists who refuse to proclaim their “desirable” results to those who fly “too close to the sun,” like the Greek mythological figure Icarus.

 

The latter loses sight of what the Constitution’s text would have meant to ordinary people at the time it was framed and adopted, he said.

 

He pointed to a scholarly brief in Obergefell v. Hodges, the Supreme Court’s 2015 decision establishing a constitutional right to same-sex marriage, as a prime example.

 

The question in Obergefell for an originalist was whether the term “liberty” in the 14th Amendment was understood at the time of its adoption to include the right to same-sex marriage, Alito said.

 

He argued that the answer to that question was “unmistakable,” no matter what one may think about same-sex marriage as a matter of “morality or public policy.” But the brief’s author contended the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause established a “broad assurance of equality for all,”meaning a state could not deny the right to marriage to anyone under an originalist view.

 

However, he emphasized that he was “not suggesting” that the decision in that case should be overruled in commenting about it Friday.

 

“Obergefell is a precedent of the court that is entitled to respect afforded by the doctrine of stare decisis,” Alito said. “And as I said in my opinion for the court in Dobbs, more than once, nothing in Dobbs was meant to disturb that decision.”

 

Another wrong turn he termed “black-and-white originalism,” where jurists stick only to the text of the Constitution instead of examining its “very structure” — a method he claimed emerges from the “anxieties of originalism’s youth.”

 

Criticisms of the Supreme Court’s ruling giving largely shielding former presidents from criminal prosecution for actions they take while in office likewise fail to take this into account, Alito said.

 

“An immunity, I should add, that applies to all presidents,” Alito said.

 

Yet another wrong turn enables the “insecure mindset” that leads some originalists to worry they’re engaging in judicial activism when cases are decided in their favor.

 

An originalist judge should go back and check their work if their analysis under the legal theory turns out a result that “makes no sense,” he said, drawing a comparison to a scene in “Oliver Twist” where the beadle of Twist’s orphanage surmises that “the law is a ass — a idiot” if it must be applied in a particular way.

 

“A conscientious judge has no choice but to do what the law requires,” Alito said Friday. “But we do not have an asinine or idiotic constitution, so an originalist judge should not cavalierly or happily embrace results that defy common sense.”

 

He concluded his remarksby claiming that originalism furthers the common good “more than any theory” and generally produces good results. He hoped to keep the jurisprudence on course by explaining where it could go wrong, he said.

 

“Originalism is not easy, but if originalist judges stay in the course, I am confident that the theory can have a bright future,” he said.

Samsung's Smart Fridge Turns Your Kitchen Into An Ad Billboard

Samsung Family Hub refrigerators are being transformed into a digital ad billboard right in your own kitchen with a new software update, according to a new report. Like it or not, owners of these premium models, priced between $1,700 and over $3,300, will now see ads on the refrigerator's front-facing monitor whenever it sits idle.

 

Android Authority spoke with a Samsung spokesperson who confirmed that an over-the-air software update will serve as an ad pilot program on Family Hub refrigerators, adding that the ads will "offer promotions and curated advertisements" designed to "strengthen the everyday value" of its home appliances for customers.

 

Here is the full statement from the Samsung spokesperson about the new ad program:

 

Samsung is committed to innovation and enhancing every day value for our home appliance customers. As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen that value, we are conducting a pilot program to offer promotions and curated advertisements on certain Samsung Family Hub refrigerator models in the U.S. market.

 

As a part of this pilot program, Family Hub refrigerators in the U.S. will receive an over-the-network (OTN) software update with Terms of Service (T&C) and Privacy Notice (PN). Advertising will appear on certain Family Hub refrigerator Cover Screens. The Cover Screen appears when a Family Hub screen is idle. Ad design format may change depending on Family Hub personalization options for the Cover Screen, and advertising will not appear when Cover Screen displays Art Mode or picture albums.

 

Advertisements can be dismissed on the Cover Screens where ads are shown, meaning that specific ads will not appear again during the campaign period.

 

Here is Android Authority's first take on the ad infestation that Samsung is about to unleash in the kitchen:

 

It's still unclear which exact refrigerators are getting the ad infestation, but Samsung's current Family Hub-equipped lineup in the US starts at $1,800 and goes all the way up to $3,500. It doesn't seem like users can entirely turn off ads, which is a shame. Disconnecting the fridge from the internet might stop the ads, but you will also inevitably lose out on several smart features you paid for. If you have a Samsung refrigerator with a door display, let us know in the comments how your experience has been with them, and how you feel about ads coming to them.

 

Let's hope that with the arrival of humanoid robots in homes - likely by the end of this decade or early 2030s - these bots don't become the ultimate ad trackers that bombard consumers with targeted ads on other devices inside their own homes. We suspect an incoming ad infestation is creeping into vehicle infotainment systems, which is why it might be wise to buy an old Mercedes diesel from the 1970s or 1980s, with cassette players and essentially no chips, to preserve some peace of mind ahead of the 2030s. Also, the feds can't remotely brick old cars.

Police say Spanish flotilla activist who allegedly bit medical worker to remain in custody

A Spanish flotilla activist will remain in police custody until Wednesday after she allegedly bit a medical worker while detained in Ketziot Prison, police announce.

 

Prison officials say she bit the medical worker’s hand while being escorted back from a routine check-up on the eve of her deportation, which was originally scheduled for today.

 

However, a Beersheba Magistrate’s Courtjudge extended her remand by three more days this morning, after she was detained by police last night following the bite.

 

Officers brought her to the Negev’s Segev Shalom police station to be interrogated, police say.

 

The activist is a woman in her 50s named Reyes Rigo Cervilla. She lives on the island of Mallorcaand works as an acupuncture therapist, according to Spanish outlet El Pais.
