is a guide for community organizers to effect social change through pragmatic, confrontational tactics. Here are its key points in brief sentences:

Here's the one I reference, has some layman breakdowns.

RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)

RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear, and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don’t address the “real” issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)

RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety, and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different than any other human being. We all avoid “un-fun” activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)

RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)

RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists’ minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)

RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management’s wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)

RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem. (Old saw: If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Activist organizations have an agenda, and their strategy is to hold a place at the table, to be given a forum to wield their power. So, they have to have a compromise solution.)

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

The December ’16 Joint Analysis Report (JAR), and the January ’17 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), were fabricated to enhance a spying coverup. Spiropoulos has taken the time to put the deconstruction of the ICA into a simple to follow video format. Two parts below:

From a risk management perspective, initially the surveillance and spying operation was a low-risk endeavor. Obama held power and was going to hand off operations to Hillary. The Clinton administration would retain the officials who were doing the surveillance/spying, and no one would ever know.

Donald Trump was not expected to win the election. When he did, all of the participants were suddenly at risk. President Obama and every member of his cabinet involved in the spying operations, then used Clinton’s “Russiagate” smear to cover up Obama’s “Spygate” activity.

The IRS was used to identify targets 2010 through 2012, until discovered in April ’12. Suddenly, President Obama has a problem. President Obama then sends his Chief of Staff, Jack Lew, to run the IRS and block discoveries around the IRS weaponization.

May 2017, needing to extend the coverup of the FBI activity, special counsel Robert Mueller then takes over Crossfire Hurricane. All FBI evidence and personnel transfers to Mueller.

April 2019, Robert Mueller operation wraps up, prior activity coverup shifts to Impeachment process.

July 2019, John Durham kicks in extending DOJ/FBI control through 2020 election.

Fall 2020, mail-in ballots triggered to facilitate 2020 election outcome.

January 2021, FBI triggers Operation Arctic Frost, targeting Trump supporters and 2020 election researchers. FBI again using NSA database search queries to identify targeting.

March 2021, FBI Arctic Frost results fed to J6 Committee and DHS. TSA trigger “Quiet Skies” targeting via results from Arctic Frost.

It’s one long continuum of coverup activity within Main Justice and the FBI, supported by all other various agencies who operate in support. What are they covering up? The 2012 through 2016 political spying operation within the Obama administration, as carried out by the same Main Justice and FBI operations.

Second Amendment Victory: Federal Court Overturns Post Office Gun Ban Dealing Massive Blow to Liberal Agenda

A federal court has delivered a major win for gun rights and a devastating blow to anti-gun radicals.

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas ruled that prohibitions on carrying firearms in post offices are unconstitutional, Bearing Arms reported.

Chief U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor delivered the opinion in Firearms Policy Coalition Inc, et al. v. Bondi on Tuesday of this week.

The case was brought by the Firearms Policy Coalition, the Second Amendment Foundation, and two citizens.

O’Connor found that the law “is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment with respect to Plaintiffs’ (and their members) possession and carrying of firearms inside of an ordinary United States Post Office or the surrounding Post Office property.”

The complaint, originally submitted in June 2024, challenged the law on the grounds thatthe government had no historical basis for the restriction.

The court agreed, explaining that the government must prove any firearm restriction is “sufficiently analogous to a ‘well-established and representative historical analogue.’”

This ruling follows the Department of Justice dropping an appeal in a similar case out of Florida.

There, a judge found that the government failed to meet its burden to justify a firearms ban on post office property.

Second Amendment Foundation Executive Director Adam Kraut said millions visit post offices daily and should not be forced to choose between basic services and their rights.

Alan Gottlieb, who started the Second Amendment Foundation, added that there is “no historical analogue” for a postal firearms ban.

The Firearms Policy Coalitionnoted Judge O’Connor’s clear explanation that the founders themselves never banned firearms in post offices.

Brandon Combs of the Firearms Policy Coalition stressed that governments cannot “invent new so-called ‘gun-free zones’ whenever they please.”

He declared the ruling ends threats of prosecution for “peaceable people” simply mailing a package or buying stamps.

The truth is simple: gun-free zones do not stop killers.

A sign that says “no firearms allowed” might as well say “potential victims here.”

The only reasonable exceptions might be places with armed security or controlled checkpoints at events such as political rallies, where attendance is voluntary and violence can be likely.

Criminals bent on harming others will not obey signs, as they’ve already, in most cases, decided to commit murder.

Law-abiding citizens are the ones disarmed, and thus left defenseless, by such provisions.

Chicago attorney andretired police lieutenant John Garrido has raised serious legal and ethical concernsafter it was revealed that Chicago Police Department officers were ordered to “stand down” while federal agents were under attack in the city’s Brighton Park neighborhood on Saturday morning.

The Gateway Pundit reportedthat federal officers from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were ambushed by a convoy of roughly ten vehicles in what officials described as a “coordinated assault” by domestic extremists protesting President Trump’s ongoing deportation operations in Chicago.

The confrontation began when a vehicle driven by Marimar Martinez, a known agitator with a history of doxxing ICE agents online, allegedly rammed an ICE patrol unit while brandishing a semi-automatic weapon.

Trapped and outnumbered, agents were forced to exit their vehicles and fire defensive shots, striking Martinez in the shoulder.

She fled the scene and later checked into Mount Sinai Hospital before being taken into FBI custody. Another suspect, Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, was arrested and remains in federal detention.

No federal officers sustained life-threatening injuries, though several CBP agents were treated for minor wounds following the assault.

Despite 911 calls made by the agents, Chicago officers did not respond, following a direct “no response” order from command.

An audio recording captured the moment units en route to the scene were waved off, with the dispatcher noting, “I’m waving off all of the cars heading to 39th Place in Kedzie. Another person states, “Those are the orders we’re giving.”

Chicago attorney and former police lieutenant John Garrido, of Garrido & Stoppa, P.C., weighed in on social media,calling the stand-down directive “deeply disturbing and possibly illegal.”

An ICE vehicle was reportedly forced off the road on the South Side of Chicago and crashed. The offender fled on foot. ICE called for assistance. The Illinois TRUST Act (5 ILCS 805) and Chicago’s Welcoming City Ordinance (Chapter 2-173) prohibit local officers from assisting in civil immigration enforcement, such as detaining someone solely for immigration status.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in those laws prohibits officers from responding to an emergency, rendering medical aid, or protecting life and property.

In fact, under Illinois law (720 ILCS 5/7-15 and 5/7-16),every peace officer has a duty to render aid and a duty to intervene to prevent harm or injury when it is safe to do so.

To order officers to ignore a call for help from fellow law enforcement, any law enforcement, isn’t just a violation of basic ethics.It could be gross negligence, dereliction of duty, and possibly even criminal if harm resulted.

In my 32 years of service with the Chicago Police Department, I have never heard anything this egregious. No badge should ever be told to turn their back on another officer in distress. Period.

Interpretation of the Stripe in the New Image of 3I/ATLAS from the Perseverance Rover Camera

October 4, 2025

On October 4, 2025 at the mean local solar time of 21:33:39 on Mars, the Right Navigation Camera (Navcam) onboard NASA’s Mars Perseverance rover took an image (posted online by NASA here and here) of the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS in the Martian sky.

At that time, 3I/ATLAS was at a distance of about 38 million kilometers from Mars.

The image shows an elongated stripe which is about 4 times longer than it is wide. This stripe raised questions on social media as to whether 3I/ATLAS is a large cylindrical object.

I was asked for my opinion about this puzzling image by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna and so I immediately worked out the following numbers.

The Navcam on the Perseverance rover has sensitivity to visible light with an angular resolution of 0.33 milli-radian (or equivalently 68 arcseconds) per pixel, as detailed here.

This translates to a spatial scale of about 12,500 kilometers at the distance of 3I/ATLAS from Mars when the image was taken. This scale sets the width of the elongated stripe in the Navcam image of 3I/ATLAS.

Thus, the projected length of the stripe is about 50,000 kilometers.

The upper bound on the diameter of 3I/ATLAS was derived by the SPHEREx space observatory (reported here) as 46 kilometers for an albedo of 4%.

The Navcam stripe is a thousand times longer than this upper limit and therefore must be an artifact of a long integration time given that the source moves across the Martian sky.

If 3I/ATLAS was a cylinder as long as 50,000 kilometers, then it would have occupied an angular size of 23 arcseconds in the Hubble Space Telescope image taken on July 21, 2025, when 3I/ATLAS was at a distance of 3 times the Earth-Sun separation from the Hubble camera. Instead, 3I/ATLAS appears smaller by at least an order of magnitude in the actual Hubble image (available here and here).

This suggests that the elongation of the stripe was generated by the integration time used to make the composite Navcam image, during which 3I/ATLAS moved across the Martian sky.

Mars orbits the Sun at a speed of 24 kilometers per second. 3I/ATLAS is traveling on a retrograde orbit in the opposite direction to Mars at a speed of about 67 kilometers per second relative to the Sun.

The speed of 3I/ATLAS relative to Mars translates to a path length of about 50,000 kilometers for an integration time of order 10 minutes.

In conclusion, the stripe in the Navcam image must have resulted from stacking hundreds of Navcam images over a total time interval of about 10 minutes.

3I/ATLAS would have looked like a circular spot for an individual snapshot, which has a maximum exposure time of 3.28 seconds for Navcam.

In a single frame, the motion of 3I/ATLAS on the Martian sky would have smeared its image by merely 300 kilometers, only ~3% of the much larger smearing by 12,500 kilometers associated with the limited angular resolution of Navcam.

The stacking of hundreds of images enhanced the apparent brightness of 3I/ATLAS in the final image.

The above analysis is based on the assumption that the Navcam images are of 3I/ATLAS. This was not specified explicitly on the NASA website.

If the Navcam images represent single snapshots with an exposure time below 3.28 seconds, then the brightness and angular length of the observed source imply that it is not 3I/ATLAS.

In that case, the source might be much closer to the camera — capable of being smeared into an elongated image with a smaller spatial size and a smaller speed.

In case the source is 3I/ATLAS, one way to think about the stripe is as a sequence of smeared snapshots, like a pod of green beans.

3I/ATLAS shared the experience of a movie star with lots of cameras from 7 Mars orbiters and a ground-based rover taking snapshots of it as it passed across the Martian sky.

The highest resolution image was taken by the HiRISE camera onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. HiRISE has an angular resolution that translated to 30 kilometers per pixel on October 3, 2025.

The brightest pixel in the HiRISE image will provide the best constraint yet on the area of 3I/ATLAS. We are all hoping that the HiRISE team will release their images as soon as possible.

A World War II veteran in Tallahassee, Florida, recently celebrated a big birthday surrounded by his loved ones.

Joseph Williams, who is one of the state’s oldest World War II heroes, is now 106 years old, KGW reported Wednesday.

Images show the American hero now and as a young man:

The veteran was born in September of 1919 and later joined the U.S. Navy. When the war broke out, he served his country in the Pacific theater during intense fighting.

According to History.com, World War II was the largest and deadliest conflict in history:

The war began when Nazi Germany invaded Poland in 1939 and raged across the globe until 1945, when Japan surrendered to the United States after atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. By the end of World War II, an estimated 60 to 80 million people had died, including up to 55 million civilians, and numerous cities in Europe and Asia were reduced to rubble.

When Williams returned home after the war, he earned a certification in interior decoration from a Tallahassee school and eventually worked as a house painter for many years. In addition, he served his community in Wakulla County as a volunteer firefighter and is known as a man with a generous and service-oriented heart.

Last year, local leaders honored the veteran for his dedication to America and his neighbors,and he also enjoyed an Honor Flight to Washington, DC, where he viewed the World War II Memorial.

His granddaughter, Angela Hilliard, toldreportershe still attends church and reads the Bible every day.

“It’s just amazing to have him around still, and he’s still full of wisdom, full of life, and energy, and always has a word of wisdom to share with someone,” she said.

Social media users shared their good wishes for the veteran, one person writing, “Happy Birthday! Thank you for your service,” while someone else said, “Much respect.”

Virginia Democrat attorney general hopeful Jay Jones is being pressured to drop out of the raceafter text messages revealed he apparently fantasized about a Republican lawmaker being fatally shot.

In a social media post on Saturday, Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) called out Jones for the text messageshe is accused of sending in 2022 that showed him wishing a now former state House Speaker Todd Gilbert and his children would be killed, the New York Post reported.

“This violent, disgusting rhetoric targeted at an elected official and his children is beyond disqualifying. Jay Jones said that ‘Gilbert gets two bullets to the head’ and then hoped his children would die,” Youngkin wrote.

“Read those words again. There is no ‘gosh, I’m sorry’ here. Jones doesn’t have the morality or character to drop out of this race, and his running mates Abigail Spanberger, Ghazala Hashmi, andevery elected Democrat in Virginia don’t have the courage to call on him to step away from this campaign in disgrace,” the governor added:

Probiotics in orbit: What spore survival means for Mars missions

Australian researchers from RMIT University have proven that bacteria beneficial to humans can survive the rigors of space travel: rocket launch, several minutes of microgravity, and harsh deceleration upon return.

During a suborbital flight on a two-stage SubOrbital Express 3 – M15 rocket, Bacillus subtilis spores were accelerated to ≈13g, endured ~6 minutes of microgravity at an altitude of about 257 km, and peak overloads during the return stage.

After their return, their viability and morphology did not differ from the control group, which indicates a high margin of safety for microbes in real flight conditions.

The team emphasizes that stable microbiological support for the crew’s bodies is critically important for long-term missions, from the Moon to Mars.

The result gives reason to believe that key probiotic organisms will withstand the most extreme stages of the journey — from takeoff to landing.

The study was conducted in collaboration with ResearchSat and Numedico, and detailed flight parameters (including an angular velocity of ~220°/s upon entry) and colony-forming unit counts (≈9.7×10⁷ versus 9.2×10⁷ in the control) are provided in the publication.

How does it work? The secret is simple: it is not delicate living bacteria that are sent into space, but their spores — a natural state of hibernation.

The spores are dried, consume almost nothing, and within them, the DNA is tightly packed with protective proteins and covered with a strong multilayered shell.

Therefore, it almost doesn’t care about vibrations, sudden overloads, and a few minutes of weightlessness during launch and return. In the laboratory, the spores are placed in small capsules with an inert carrier and secured in a container that partially absorbs shocks and temperature fluctuations.

After the flight, it’s simple: add a nutrient medium and heat, and the spore reabsorbs water, wakes up, and begins to grow as if nothing had happened.

In other words, the trick lies not in the heroic endurance of ordinary cells, but in the right form — spores, which nature created specifically to survive extreme conditions.

Why is this important? The health of the crew is the foundation of future space exploration.

If probiotic spores reliably withstand launch/return, this opens the way to simpler and more reliable life support systems: from stable probiotics in nutrition to closed-loop bioreactors.

For astrobiology, the result sets an important baseline: if Earth spores are so resilient, missions to search for life have to consider both their possible transportability and the risks of introducing contamination.

At the same time, information about the limits of microbial survival will help to more accurately calibrate instruments for detecting traces of life in harsh environments — from the surface of Mars to the subglacial oceans of moons.

Under pressure to end the war in Gaza after two brutal years of combat,negotiators for Israel and Hamas will meet on Monday with mediators in Egypt to discuss a sweeping peace planpresented by President Trump last week.

Much still remains unresolved.

The indirect talks between Israel and Hamas, mediated by the United States, Qatar and Egypt, are likely to focus on two aspects of the 20-point proposal that Mr. Trump unveiled:exchanging Israeli-held Palestinians for captives taken in the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack that set off the war, and an Israeli pullback from parts of Gaza.

Israel believes that about 20 hostagesare still alive in Gaza, and alsoseeks the remains of about 25 others. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Fox News on Sunday that Hamas had “agreed to the president’s hostage release framework.”

Under that plan, the hostages will be exchanged for 250 Palestinians prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 Gazans jailed by Israel during the war. For every hostage whose remains are released, Israel will also release the remains of 15 Gazans.

While the plan calls for the release of the hostages within 72 hours of Israel agreeing to it, that would be logistically difficult, experts say.And the two sides have yet to agree on which Palestinian prisoners will be released.

Those are just some of the issues that remained to be hashed out.

On Friday, Hamas said it was willing to release the hostages. But Hamas has not addressed major points in the American peace plan,among them demands that it has objected to in the past. The proposal, for example, calls on the group to disarm and for it to have no role in the governance of Gaza — both key Israeli positions that Hamas has long rejected.

Questions also remain about the withdrawal of Israeli forces from positions in Gaza.

In a social media post on Saturday,Mr. Trump said that Israel had already agreed to an initial withdrawal line within Gaza for the first phase of the deal.

“When Hamas confirms, the Ceasefire will be IMMEDIATELY effective, the Hostages and Prisoner Exchange will begin, and we will create the conditions for the next phase of withdrawal,” he pledged.

But Hamas may still seek to negotiate those lines.

In previous talks on ending the conflict, Hamas agreed to Israeli troops withdrawing into a buffer zone near Gaza’s border with Israel. But Mr. Trump’s plan would leave Israeli forces deeper in Gaza, and Hamas has signaled that it may object to elements of the plan.

In a speech to Israelis over the weekend,Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to cast the Trump plan as a victory. He said the stage for a possible deal to end to the warhad been set by his decision to keep up the pressure on Hamas with a devastating military campaign, which drew condemnation from much of the world. He also cited diplomatic efforts.

Members of Mr. Netanyahu’s far-right coalition have long objected to a deal and have threatened to dissolve his government if he agrees to one. The prime minister has sought to appease them, but he is also under pressure from many Israelis who want a hostage deal and an end to the conflict, as well as from the international community, not least Mr. Trump.

On Saturday, Mr. Trumpposted images of Israelis rallying in Tel Aviv for a hostage deal. He added no comments, but the images appeared to speak for themselves.

The fighting on the ground has nonetheless continued. The Israeli military said that it launched multiple attacks on Sunday against what it described as militants threatening troops. Emergency workers in Gaza said that they had been unable to reach some of those killed because they were in combat zones.

Israel and Hamas have held indirect talks off and on throughout the war, with negotiations generally falling apart. Mr. Rubio conceded on Sunday that the war was not yet over and that there was work to be done, but he said this time could be different.

“What gives you hope here is that at least there is now a framework for how all this can come to an end,” he said.
