In the 1970s, the late Senator Daniel Inouye designated the funds for BIRD, and the foundation’s mission has only grown from there. AIPAC has played an instrumental role in the continuity and growth of the BIRD Foundation over the last several decades and has helped pave the way for enhanced U.S.-Israel cooperation.
