Mysterious object spotted during Trump’s Japan visit? Viral clip brings speculation and debate over UFO, drones and airplanes

As US President Donald Trump touched down in Tokyo on October 27, 2025, for his visit to Japan, social media lit up with claims of a mysterious flying object appearing on a FOX News live broadcast of his arrival.
The video, which has since circulated widely on X, shows what some viewers describe as a “large strange object hovering in the night sky” as the cameras awaited the President’s appearance.
The video clip showed the FOX news caption of the coverage, which reads, “NOW: TRUMP LANDS IN TOKYO AHEAD OF BUSINESS RECEPTION.”
What the viral video shows
The clip was first shared by @AbbottEddi5270, an X user who identifies as a “Military Intelligence Analyst” with over 3,000 followers.
The post reads, “JUST HAPPENED IN JAPAN. CAMERA NOTICES A LARGE STRANGE OBJECT HOVERING IN THE NIGHT SKY AS THEY WAIT FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP TO COME OUTSIDE… It captures it and immediately the feed is cut!!!”
The video shows flashing blue, green, white, and red lights appearing briefly above Tokyo before the broadcast feed is allegedly cut. The user also noted this was “the second time anomalies have appeared on Fox Live Feed.”
Social media buzz and humor: UFO or just a plane?
Many users appeared convinced that the lights captured on the FOX News feed were not conventional aircraft.
An account, humorously written, said, “Red on one wing Green on the other and white in the middle. Has to be aliens. Has to.”
Others joined the speculation, with one user joking, “Trump will make a deal with the aliens.”
Counterclaims: “It’s just a plane or building lights.”
Several users pushed back, offering more grounded explanations. A user commented commented, “Plane on final approach with landing lights on.
You can see another behind it with the proper spacing.” another suggested, “It’s probably the Sky Tree in the background,” referring to Tokyo’s 634-meter broadcasting tower.
Another criticized the hype, writing, “There is a high-rise tower or building with these lights on top, idiots!
If you fcn use your eyes, you can see the silhouette.” Similarly, another user, identifying as a pilot, remarked, “Amazing it’s running nav lights.”
Trump’s japan visit
President Trump’s trip to Japan marks his first visit in six years and includes meetings with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to discuss trade, defense cooperation, and critical mineral partnerships.
He is expected to travel to South Korea next as part of his broader Asia tour ahead of the APEC Leaders Meeting.

Massive airship spotted over San Francisco

A massive airship was spotted Tuesday morning over San Francisco.
The airship known as Pathfinder 1 is operated by LTA Research, which said it is studying the possibility of using airships for transportation and cargo.
LTA Research on its website said Pathfinder 1 first took flight in the Bay Area in May when it flew outside of the airspace at Moffett Federal Airfield, where the airship is housed.

In this episode of "Reality Check," Ross Coulthart sits down with retired Lt. Col. Charles Halt, the former deputy base commander of RAF Bentwaters. Halt is a key witness to the Rendlesham Forest incident.
Together, they discuss Larry Warren's claims Halt is lying on official military forms, an infamous audiotape from that night and the government's involvement in a possible cover-up.
Earlier this year, Coulthart was joined by two witnesses from that night, Larry Warren and Steve Longero. Warren and Longero were both U.S. Air Force security specialists when they not only saw the suspicious aircraft in 1980 but were told to "keep their mouths shut" by government officials.
