"true time" would be what a SUNDIAL says at any given location

let's say you live at ~ 40˚ latitude (mid-america)

when it's "true noon" at your location

it will be "true 12:04" 50 miles to your east

and it will be "true 11:56" 50 miles to your west

does it take a GENIUS to see how this would fuck with EVERYTHING in day-to-day life?

this is why we have STANDARD time zones

but the price is that people at the opposite edges of any time zone are ONE HOUR APART in "true time"

and people on either side of a line dividing time zones are on essentially THE SAME "true time"

but their CLOCKS are one hour apart

only fucking IDIOTS believe abolishing daylight-savings will save us from some sinister plot to wreak havoc on our "internal clocks"
