Most candy is produced with high fructose corn syrup now instead of cane sugar. Cane sugar never had as many bad effects on the body like these new sweeteners do.
It will take awhile to get them out of the supply chain. But we need to go back to using cane sugar too. There was far less chronic illness when that was a thing in the past.
