Eight regions across Russia came under drone attack overnight on November 4, with local reports indicating that three oil facilities were among the likely targets.

Bashkortostan governor Radiy Khabirov said debris from a downed drone hit an industrial complex in Sterlitamak, landing near an auxiliary workshop.

The city’s mayor, Emil Shaimardanov, later confirmed an explosion at the water treatment facility of the Sterlitamak petrochemical plant, which caused a partial building collapse.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, fires broke out at two facilities in the city of Kstovo following the attack, Astra reported.

The explosions occurred in the industrial zone near the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery and the Sibur-Kstovo petrochemical plant. Residents shared footage showing explosions, bright flashes, and fires lighting up the night sky.

The Sibur-Kstovo plant produces ethylene, propylene, benzene, and other hydrocarbons—materials that can be used to manufacture explosive components. Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez, one of Russia’s largest refineries, is a key supplier for the Moscow region.

Earlier, several strikes targeted critical infrastructure in Russia’s Saratov region and in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian city of Shakhtarsk, Donetsk region, during the night of November 3.

James Comey played the victim card in fighting his indictment on charges of misleading Congress, ==but that strategy boomeranged when prosecutors and his old agency released an avalanche of new evidence showing the ex-FBI director hoped to please Hillary Clinton]], cheered on media leaks he claimed he did not sanction, and wrote emails and notes that directly conflict with his past congressional testimony.

Part of that unflattering portrait of Comey, prosecutors revealed Monday, came from long-hidden filesthat the new FBI Director Kash Patelfound in burn bags and secret storage rooms at the bureau's headquarters.

The evidence included proof that Comey used a private email account to conduct FBI matters including media strategy with a top lieutenant at the same time his agency probed Clinton for improperly using her own private email for government business.

"Perhaps you can make him smarter,” Comey wrote in one such email to FBI special government employee Daniel Richman in which the two discussed trying to influence a New York Times reporter about his coverage of the Clinton email scandal.

Prosecutors made clear such evidence will be used to try to show at trial that Comey misled Congress when he denied authorizing staff to anonymously leak or talk to reporters.

"Consistent with the above-described correspondence,Richman corresponded extensively with members of the media regarding or on behalf of the defendant, including in an anonymous capacity," the Justice Department filing argued.

The cache of documents also includes September 2016 handwritten notes in which Comey appears to address U.S. intelligence intercepts about Clinton planning to manufacture a Russia scandal against Trump, something he told senators he didn't recall knowing.

Comey did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent to him through his lawyers.

Comey's politicization executed to get in Hillary's good graces

Federal prosecutors said in court filings that they have unearthed a trove of personal emails showing that Comey openly talked in the days before the 2016 election that he expected to be working soon for President-elect Hillary Clinton and that he was being kept apprised by his friend Richman on apparent efforts to anonymously provide information to the news media.

The DOJ also showed on Monday that, despite Comey telling Congress he didn’t recall it, he had taken handwritten notes in September 2016 indicating he had been briefed on the so-called Clinton Plan Intelligence indicating Clinton’s 2016 campaign planned to tie Trump to Russia.

Comey’s lawyers in late October filed briefs to persuade a judge to dismiss the charges against their client, who has pleaded not guilty, by claiming that he was being "selectively and vindictively" prosecuted.

“The government has singled out Mr. Comey for prosecution because of his protected speech and because of President Trump’s personal animus toward Mr. Comey,” Comey’s lawyers told the judge in court filings last month. “Such a vindictive and selective prosecution violates the First Amendment, Due Process Clause, and equal protection principles. The proper remedy for this unconstitutional prosecution is dismissal with prejudice. Any lesser remedy would be insufficient in light of the government’s flagrant misconduct and the need to deter the government from bringing further unconstitutional prosecutions.”

Comey used a personal and anonymous email account to associate/leaker

Comey, fired as FBI director in 2017 by President Donald Trump, oversaw both the politicized investigation into Hillary Clinton's illicit use of a private email server to send classified information and the baseless Trump-Russia collusion inquiry.

Despite investigating Clinton for her improper use of a private email server, Comey himself was using a personal and anonymous Gmail account to discuss FBI matters with Richman.

Comey made a public speech exonerating Clinton of criminality in July 2016, but alerted Congress in October 2016 that further Clinton emails had been found after the FBI searched a laptop belonging to disgraced former Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner, then the husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

"Some day they will figure it out. And as [Individual 1 and Individual 2] point out, my decision will be one a president-elect Clinton will be very grateful for (although that wasn’t why I did it)," Comey wrote Richman in one newly-released email in late October 2016.

Richman previously admitted to agents in interviews that he routinely communicated on behalf of Comey, his longtime friend, with New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt, whose work was among thenewspaper's 2018 Pulitzer-winning storieson Russian election interference. The goal, Richman told the FBI, was "to correct stories critical of Comey, the FBI and to shape future press coverage" outside the bureau's official press office, according to internal FBI memos.

"Richman was pretty sure he did not confirm the Classified Information.However, Richman told the interviewing agents he was sure 'with a discount' that he did not tell Schmidt about the Classified Information," one FBI memo recounted.

Emails indicate clear intention, collaboration between Comey and leaker Richman

“Make sure you keep your eyes shut. The country can’t seem to handle your finding stuff,” Richman wrote to Comey on Oct. 29, 2016. Comey replied: “Thanks for the battling you have done against unreason. This is a strange time. B[u]t we press on.”

The next day, Richman sent Comey an email about an opinion piece he had been asked to write for The New York Times about Comey’s letter to Congress. Richman stated that he was “not inclined” to “write something” but that he would “do it” if Comey thought it would “help things to explain that [Comey] owed [C]ong[ress] absolute candor” and that Comey’s “credibility w[ith] [C]ong[ress] w[ould] be particularly important in the coming years of threatened [c]ong[ressional] investigations.”

“No need. At this point it would [be] shouting into the wind. Some day they will figure it out. The DOJ said Monday that Comey “appears to have reconsidered that view shortly thereafter” and pointed to Comey’s lengthy email to Richman the next day.

“When I read the times [New York Times] coverage involving [Reporter 1], I am left with the sense that they don’t understand the significance of my having spoke about the case in July [2016]. It changes the entire analysis. Perhaps you can make him smarter,” Comey told Richman on Nov. 1, 2016.

Richman responded the next day, saying: “This is precisely the case I made to them and thought they understood. I was quite wrong. Indeed I went further and said mindless allegiance to the policy (and recognition that more evidence could come in) would have counseled silence in july to let hrc [Hillary Clinton] twist in the wind.”

Richman soon added, “Just got the point home to [Reporter 1]. Probably was rougher than u would have been.”

Comey then emailed Richman shortly thereafter, saying “pretty good” and sending a link to a New York Times piece about Comey’s alleged options in late October 2016 concerning the Clinton email investigation. Comey told Richman, “Someone showed some logic. I would paint the cons more darkly but not bad.” Richman then responded: “See I can teach.”

The DOJ’s indictment against Comey, approved by a federal grand jury in September, stems from allegations that Comey misled the Senate during his testimony in late September 2020, when he reiterated his May 2017 denial that he had ever authorized a leak of information to the media about the Trump-Russia investigation or Clinton-related investigations. The indictment also alleged that Comey had obstructed Congress by lying to the Senate.

“After the defendant sent the October 2016 letter the defendant emailed extensively with Daniel Richman,” the DOJ said in its Monday court filing.

“Much of the correspondence occurred via the defendant’s use of a personal email account and Mr. Richman’s use of an email account associated with Columbia University.”

The DOJ on Monday also said that, in the spring of this year, “a team of FBI investigators was assembled to examine possible reform of policies, procedures, compliance, and culture at the FBI” and that “FBI investigators were alerted to a seemingly unused SCIF in FBI headquarters (Room 9582) containing a random collection of classified documents.”

DOJ: "Comey's prosecution" implicates societal interests of the highest order”

“A large majority of the documents were on the floor in five burn bags. Room 9582 was then subject to an inventory for the documents that were located inside. Investigators located hundreds of pages relating to Crossfire Hurricane … and the then-classified appendix to the 2016 Durham Special Counsel Report (now partially declassified),” the DOJ said. “Additionally, inside a locked safe within Room 9582, investigators located copies of handwritten notes of the defendant when he was the Director of the FBI.”

The DOJ said that Comey’s handwritten notes “were not known to any prior investigative teams.”

The DOJ lawyers insisted in their Monday court filing that “there is a history of prosecuting high-level Executive Branch officials who have lied to Congress about their official actions” and that “it is hardly surprising that the Executive would prioritize the prosecution of high-level agency officials who have lied to Congressional investigators about their official actions.”

“The societal interests in this prosecution are readily apparent and overwhelming,” the DOJ added of its charges against Comey. “The defendant is a former FBI Director who lied to Congress about his conduct while at the helm of the Nation’s primary federal law-enforcement agency. His prosecution implicates societal interests of the highest order.”

Let's chat about Halper:

Remember back in the 80's when all the Savings and Loans were collapsing? At the exact same time the CIA was raising money for the Contras and flooding the US with cocaine? Yeah, its all related.

Did you know that Stefan Halper founded a bank in June 1983 called Palmer National Bank? He had zero banking experience but lots of CIA/MI6 ties. He's a Stanford/Oxford guy and served in the Nixon and Ford WH when we were conducting Operation Condor overthrowing all the governments in Latin America.

His father-in-law? Mr CIA Ray Cline. The same Ray Cline that was in the OSS with Paul Helliwell in China that set up Mr Heroin Chiang Kai Shek in Taiwan to set up the largest opium ring in the world. There, Cline worked with E Howard Hunt, John Singlaub, Mitch Werbell III (weapons dealer) and the infamous Paul Helliwell of CIA front Castle Bank.

When Carter came in Hapler moved over to Senator William Roth's office. He was a republican from Delaware and directly tied to the du Pont family. Roth's aide at the time was Stephen Cass Weiland who was the attomey for Robert Corson who was a central figure in money laundering that caused the S&L debacle.

In 1980, Halper becomes a policy director for Bush Sr's (Mr CIA) presidential campaign. He was picked up by the Reagan/Bush tix as a policy guy. He was joined by his CIA father in law there as well. Cline was quoted as saying he intended to "organize something like one of my old CIA staff' for Bush Sr. Which of course he did in the form of Contras ran directly out of Bush's office with CIA trained assassin Felix Rodriguez and Donald Gregg.

You probably remember the fiasco around the Reagan campaign stealing Carter's debate notes if you were alive back then but what you probably don't remember because very little was written about it was that it was Stefan Harper that was behind it and finding out what October Surprise the Carter campaign might be planning. He was a spy doing what spies do according to Leslie Gelb at the NYTs.

One of the CIA assets working for Halper at the time was Robert Gambino who was assigned to the Office of Security in the CIA according to the NYTs. A House report in May of 1984 would implicate Halper in "DebateGate". That same report said James Baker III had the debate notes of Carter and that he received them from future CIA director William Casey who was Reagan's campaign manager. David Gergen, another guy that started with Halper on the Bush campaign was implicated as well…he calls himself a journalist.

The newly elected president and his State Department created a brand new position especially for Halper in the State's Bureau of Politico-Military Affairs office where he became a special asst/deputy. Gergen was involved in getting the position approved.

Back to Palmer National Bank, Halper hired Frederic Malek, a Nixon/Bush guy who had to resign from the deputy RNC chair position after it was revealed he had compiled a list of how many Jewish ppl worked at the Dept of Labor Statistic who were all removed from their positions. Malek was a West Point mafia guy, Green Beret, Harvard MBA and was appointed to the Postal Service Board of Directors by Reagan.

Probably the most interesting guy Halper hired was Harvey McLean Jr. He was the only one not in the DC swamp. He was a real estate developer in Shreveport LA. McLean Sr was in the oil business and worked with Bush Sr at Zapata Offshore Oil which has ties to the CIA. McLean and Halper met on the Bush campaign in 1980. McLean did favors for Bush related to Jeb Bush.

Halper reached out to McLean several times while at the State Dept including taking him on a trip to China. During that trip McLean offered to fund a bank in DC if Halper would open one.

Here's the clincher. McLean put up 95% of the initial money ($3M) for the bank. He got the money from Herman K Beebe, a known mobster. Beebe's bank Bossier Bank & Loan sent the money. Normally Bossier would have received some level of ownership for fronting the money…they receive zero ownership interest for the $3M. Palmer was actually named after McLean family members.

Yes, there's more. The bank became a laundermat for every Republican political action committee in DC, 'loaning' them money. Carl R "Spitz" Channell set up his National Endowment for the Preservation of Liberty (which my naming pattern has nothing to do with liberty) at Palmer. He raised $10M for contra support all kept at Pamer. This of course was done after congress cut the CIA off from funding the contras. Channel was later convicted bc he'd been telling donors the 'contributions' were tax exempt. Palmer would wired the money to Oliver North's Swiss bank (with a few stops along the way) for arms deals with Iran/Contra. Channel was hit by a car and died in the hospital.

Halper's name is also in the very last note in Oliver North's famous notebook titled "Legal Defense Fund".

The guy with no banking experience leaves Palmer after it was exposed and moved to National Bank of Northern Virginia. NBNV's attorney had borrowed money from Palmer (Halper). The attorney, curtis Herge was also the attorney for the Nicaraguan Resistance Education Foundation. Herge was also Channell's attorney.

While all of this was going on Ray Cline (FIL) was advising GeoMiliTech on selling arms to efforts like the Contras. Singlaub was involved in this effort as well. GeoMiliTech CEO was Barbar Studley who set up a $5M sell of weapons to the Contras.

Palmer was involved in many shady loans tied to failed S&L throughput the country.

Israeli troops destroyed a Hamas tunnel hundreds of meters long and uncovered a rocket launching site in northern Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces said Monday, as a ceasefire continued in the territory.

Reservists from the Yiftah Brigade, operating in Gaza City’s eastern Shejaiya neighborhood, located several launchers, rockets and launch posts, the IDF said.

In the Jabalia area, soldiers from the 188th Armored Brigade and the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit found and demolished the underground tunnel, which extended dozens of meters deep.

The military said Hamas fighters had used the tunnel to reside for extended periods and prepare attacks on Israeli forces.

Seven killed in RSF drone strike on children’s hospital in Sudan’s North Darfur: Medics

Seven Sudanese civilians were killed and five others injured in a drone strike targeting a children’s hospital by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in North Darfur, local medics said Monday.

In a statement, the Sudan Doctors Network called the attack on the Kornoi Children’s Hospital “a blatant war crime that demonstrates the extent of the ongoing killings, which have turned innocent civilians into daily targets.”

“Targeting a hospital treating children is nothing short of another face of systematic terror and a brutal assault on life itself,” it said.

The medical group said two of the injured were children receiving treatment at the hospital.

It held the RSF “fully responsible for this crime” and called on the international community and human rights and medical organizations “to break their shameful silence and fulfil their duty toward a people being exterminated before the eyes of the world.”

On 26 October, the RSF captured the city of El-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, and committed massacres against civilians, according to local and international organizations, amid warnings that the assault could entrench the geographical partition of Sudan.

Since 15 April 2023, the Sudanese army and the RSF have been locked in a war that regional and international mediations have failed to end. The conflict has killed thousands of people and displaced millions of others.

Belgium Orders Military to Shoot Down Drones Over Bases After Suspected Espionage Flights

Belgium’s chief of defence has authorized military personnel to shoot down unauthorized drones flying over the country’s military bases following three consecutive nights of suspected espionage operations at Kleine-Brogel Air Base, which houses U.S. nuclear weapons and F-16 fighter jets.

The shoot-down order marks a significant escalation in Belgium’s response to what defense officials characterize as sophisticated reconnaissance missions targeting NATO’s nuclear deterrence infrastructure.

The Belgian military has been ordered to shoot down any unidentified drones flying over its military bases after three consecutive nights of airspace violations, Chief of Defense Frederik Vansina said Monday, according to the Belga News Agency.

The drones, described as “larger-type” aircraft flying at high altitudes, repeatedly breached restricted airspace over the Kleine-Brogel air base – one of Europe’s most sensitive military sites that hosts US-made nuclear-capable F-16s and is set to receive F-35s from 2027.

The incidents have added pressure on Belgium’s fragile five-party coalition government, which is already locked in tense budget talks, including over defense spending.

Defense Minister Theo Francken earlier called the repeated flights “a clear mission targeting Kleine-Brogel,” suggesting the drones were used for espionage rather than accidental overflights.

“They come to spy, to see where the F-16s are, where the ammunition is, and other highly strategic information,” he told local media.

The most serious incident unfolded Saturday evening and continued into Sunday. Francken confirmed in a social media post that three separate reports were received overnight.

The presence of the suspected drones – which forced the suspension of flights for a critical 20-minute period – triggered an immediate but unsuccessful response.

A drone jammer and police pursuit failed to intercept the aircraft, which reportedly flew north toward the Dutch border.

Vansina said Belgium’s anti-drone defenses – including detection systems, jammers and drone guns – remain limited, but a new plan to strengthen them will soon be presented to the Council of Ministers.

“The order has been given to shoot them down,” Vansina said on Monday, noting that any response must be carried out safely “without causing collateral damage.”

The Kleine-Brogel airbase has since issued public guidance urging residents of Peer and nearby areas to report suspicious drones immediately and avoid spreading false reports online.

Aviation authority probe into drones near Dublin Airport finds construction firm as operator

AN INVESTIGATION HAS found that drone flights inside an exclusion zone near Dublin Airport were done by a construction firm at a building site.

The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), which is the regulatory body for air traffic in Ireland, found that Wills Bros Ltd had been flying the drones at a site in Finglas.

These drone flights were inside an area known as the Dublin Red Zone, which is within the Dublin Airport control zone.

The probe found that it was done without the required Operational Authorisation and without a UAS (drone) Operator Registration.

A statement from the IAA today said that the flights were detected by the Dublin Airport Dedrone detection system.

Once they were detected, the IAA initiated an investigation to find the pilots involved, why they were flying and to determine why they were non-compliant with the rules on drone flights.

The IAA said its officers engaged with Wills Bros to achieve early compliance rather than pursue legal avenues.

The statement said that: “the investigation identified three pilots working for the drone operator who, following instruction from the IAA, have since completed the appropriate training.

Additionally, Wills Bros Ltd. has implemented internal procedures to ensure all future UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) operations are conducted under proper authorisation and oversight.”

Enda Walsh, Manager UAS at the IAA, said that the case shows that the systems work to detect the drone flights.

“This case highlights the effectiveness of detection systems, but more importantly, it demonstrates what positive regulatory engagement can achieve.

“Wills Bros responded proactively, took full responsibility, and worked closely with our team to bring their operations into full compliance.

They are now a model example of how the construction sector can safely integrate drone technology in line with aviation regulations,” he said.

Trevor Wills, Legal Director of Wills Bros Ltd, spoke on behalf of the company.

“Once we were made aware of the issue, we immediately engaged with the IAA to understand the root causes and to implement corrective measures.

“The process was transparent, constructive, and ultimately strengthened our internal governance for drone operations.

We appreciate the IAA’s collaborative approach and share their commitment to safe, compliant use of drone technology in the construction industry,” he said.

The IAA said the approach of avoiding sanctions is part of a “balanced approach” to prioritise learning from the incident, to maintain accountability in the hope that this will prevent future incidents.

Drone flights have disrupted flights into Dublin Airport in the past with a number of people appearing in court.

Why the A-10 Is (and Isn’t) A Good Fit

The Warthog brings several key strengths to the counter-drone role. First, it has a long “loiter” time, meaning it can stay in one area for extended periods.

It flies relatively low and slow compared to high-speed fighters, giving it more time to detect and engage slower-moving drone threats.

The Warthog is clearly well-suited for engaging slower, propeller-driven attack drones that now pose a growing threat, with more being manufactured than ever before.

That being said, the A-10 also has some drawbacks. It lacks a built-in high-performance radar optimized for fast aerial targets, so it must instead rely on external sensors, targeting pods, or cues from other platforms to aid drone detection.

The story comes with some broad lessons. First, it’s clear that the rise of inexpensive drones—a trend that has emerged primarily as a result of the war in Ukraine but was inevitable given recent technological advances—is forcing adaptation.

Traditional air defense often required high-value, high-cost interceptors—but when adversaries begin deploying large numbers of cheap drones, the calculations change dramatically.

Lower-cost guided rockets become necessary, even though they may not match the range or speed of high-end missiles. They are, however, “good enough” for many drone threats.

Secondly, this new role for the A-10 shows that even legacy platforms can contribute meaningfully rather than simply being retired, as long as they can be upgraded and reassigned.

The pairing of the A-10 and APKWS could serve as a cost-effective bridge between older systems and future missions, buying the U.S. Air Force time.

What We Don’t Know

There is not yet any official confirmation of exactly when and how many drones the A-10 has downed using APKWS rockets. The kill markings are strong circumstantial evidence, but the Air Force has not publicly detailed the engagements.

Scientists at Dutch university TU Delft have developed a new algorithm that allows multiple autonomous drones to work together to control and transport heavy payloads, even in windy conditions.

They say the system could be ideal for reaching and maintaining hardâtoâreach infrastructure, such as offshore wind turbines.

With often harsh weather, limited payload capacity and unpredictable contact with the environment, it is difficult for current drones to operate safely and effectively.

“A single drone can only carry a very limited load,” explains Sihao Sun, robotics researcher at TU Delft.

“This makes it hard to use drones for tasks like delivering heavy building materials to remote areas, transporting large amount of crops in mountainous regions, or assisting in rescue missions.”

To overcome these limitations, the TU Delft team designed a system where multiple drones are connected to a payload via cables, thereby carrying much heavier loads.

By adjusting their positions in real time, the drones can not only lift and transport the heavy object but also control its orientation, which is crucial for precise placement in complex environments.

“The real challenge is the coordination,” says Sun. “When drones are physically connected, they have to respond to each other and to external disturbances like sudden movements of the payload in rapid motions. Traditional control algorithms are simply too slow and rigid for that.”

The new algorithm developed by the team is fast, flexible and robust. It adapts to changing payloads and compensates for external forces without requiring sensors on the payload itself, which is an important advantage in real world scenarios.

“We built our own quadrotors and tested them in a controlled lab environment,” Sun shares. “We used up to four drones at once, added obstacles, simulated wind with a fan, and even used a moving payload like a basketball to test dynamic responses.”

The system passed all tests. And because the drones are autonomous, they only need to be given a destination. They navigate independently, adjusting for obstacles and disturbances along the way. “You just tell them where to go, and they figure out the rest”, Sun adds.

Currently, the system uses external motionâcapture cameras for indoor testing and is therefore not yet suitable for outdoor environments.

The team hopes to prepare the technology for real world deployment in the future, with potential applications in search and rescue, agriculture and remote construction.

A mysterious glowing object spotted hovering above one of Mexico’s most active volcanoes has sparked renewed speculation about unidentified flying objects and their possible connection to geological hotspots.

The bizarre phenomenon was recorded on Thursday, October 30, by monitoring cameras placed near the Popocatépetl volcano, located between the states of Puebla and Morelos.

In footage released from the scene, a luminous, oval-shaped object can be seen hovering over the crater of the massive volcano, which stands at an altitude of 17,802 feet (5,426 metres).

Moments later, the object suddenly darts out of view at unusually high speed, prompting viewers to claim that the movement was unlike any known aircraft.

The suspected "flying saucer" seems to align itself over the smoking crater just as flames and thick clouds of smoke escape into the night sky.

According to observers, no conventional drone or helicopter could safely approach the volcano’s extreme temperatures and turbulent emissions.

Volcano Activity Reported On Same Day

On the day of the sighting, Mexico’s National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED) reported 19 low-intensity eruptions accompanied by vapour, ash, and volcanic gases.

Officials reiterated safety guidelines urging the public to keep a minimum 12-kilometre distance from the crater due to unpredictable explosions and falling ash.

So far, authorities have not issued a formal statement regarding the glowing object or its possible origin.

Meanwhile, scientists continue to monitor Popocatépetl, which remains under constant surveillance due to its active status.

UFO Theories Gain Traction

This sighting is not the first time strange aerial objects have been recorded near the volcano. UFO expert Jaime Maussan previously claimed that Popocatépetl may function as an “inter-dimensional portal”, a theoretical gateway allowing spacecraft to traverse space-time.

According to Maussan, no man-made object could survive direct exposure to the volcano’s heat, estimated at around 1,000 degrees Celsius inside the crater.

President Donald Trump made a last-minute push to boost Republican turnout in Tuesday's races for governor in New Jersey and Virginia, but he only mentioned one GOP hopeful by name.

While Trump talked up Jack Ciattarelli, his preferred candidate for governor in New Jersey, he did not name the Republican nominee for governor in Virginia: Winsome Earle-Sears. Instead, he broadly urged supporters to vote for the entire GOP ticket.

Trump endorsed Ciattarelli earlier this year, but has not endorsed Earle-Sears, the state's lieutenant governor. The president signaled Monday that he believes Ciattarelli has a better shot at winning on Election Day.

"You need to go out and vote for Jack Ciattarelli, who's a great guy, a friend of mine, a great guy, a very successful man, who wants to put all of his efforts now into really saving New Jersey, making it great again, saving it," Trump said on the New Jersey call, during which he spoke for just under nine minutes. "And he's going to do it. He'll be able to do it. The polls are looking really good."

Trump spoke for about eight minutes on a call with supporters in Virginia hosted by Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin, touting his endorsed candidate for state attorney general.

"Get out and vote tomorrow for Jason Miyares, very — so important — and the Republicans up and down the ballot,” Trump said, referring to the GOP incumbent who is locked in a tight race against Democrat Jay Jones.

The attorney general race has been rocked by recent revelations of text messages in which Jones wrote that a top GOP colleague in the state House should be shot in the head. Jones has since apologized for the texts.

Earle-Sears has trailed former Rep. Abigail Spanberger in recent public polling and ad spending, while polls show Ciattarelli is in a more competitive race against Rep. Mikie Sherrill, though Sherrill's lead has varied in recent surveys.

Trump warned that Democratic victories in both governor races would be "a catastrophe," and lead to higher energy costs.

The president's remarks came shortly after he backed former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the New York City mayor's race. Trump endorsed Cuomo, a longtime Democrat who is running as an independent, over Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa in a three-way race with Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani.

It wasn't immediately clear how many voters participated in the tele-rallies. Youngkin said the call surpassed his 2021 tele-rally with Trump, which drew 450,000 supporters, but did not say how many supporters were listening Monday night.

New Jersey GOP Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who hosted the Garden State call, did not reference the number of participants. Trump said that New Jersey is the race to watch.

“This is the biggest election. The entire country is watching New Jersey,” Trump said.

New Jersey swung toward Trump by 10 percentage points last year compared to the 2020 presidential election, the second-largest swing of any state in the country. Turning out Trump voters who may be less likely to vote in an off-year gubernatorial race is a key part of Ciattarelli’s path to victory against Sherrill, along with winning over independents.

But Ciattarelli dismissed any suggestions that Trump could be a liability in the race, even as voters nationally give the president low marks on his handling of the economy and the cost of living.

The New Jersey race “is all about property taxes. It’s all about monthly electricity bills. It’s about public safety, public education, over-development,” Ciattarelli told reporters at a campaign stop at Murph’s Tavern in Totowa on Monday morning. “Those are new New Jersey issues that my opponent wants to blame on the president. He’s got nothing to do with any of those things. It has everything to do with her party who’s controlled Trenton for the last 25 years.”

Ciattarelli has now embraced Trump and broadly supported his policies, giving Trump an “A” rating in a recent debate.

“I think he’s right about everything that he’s doing,” Ciattarelli said of the president during that debate. “He has secured the border and the economy, we’ve got inflation is much lower than it was when Joe Biden was in the White House.”

Cattarelli also said during the primary that he would welcome Trump to the Garden State to campaign. But Trump has not campaigned in person, instead opting for the tele-rally Monday and one late last month.

For decades, the dominant narrative in American archaeology held that the first humans to arrive on the continent were eventually replaced by unrelated populations.

That view is now under intense scrutiny following new evidence from a 10,700-year-old mummy discovered in Spirit Cave, Nevada.

Recent genetic analysis confirms that the individual, long considered a member of a now-extinct population, shares a direct biological lineage with contemporary Native American tribes, particularly the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone.

The discovery not only challenges a century of anthropological assumptions but also validates Indigenous oral histories that have long asserted continuous occupation of the region.

The findings, published in American Antiquity, draw on a combination of archaeological, radiocarbon, and genomic data to show an unbroken human presence in the Great Basin for more than 10,000 years.

It’s a sweeping reinterpretation of prehistory—one with legal, scientific, and cultural consequences.

Science Undermines the “Paleoamerican” Model

The remains, known as the Spirit Cave Mummy, were first excavated in 1940 and initially estimated to be around 2,000 years old. They were placed in storage after a brief public display.

In 1997, radiocarbon dating conducted by the University of California, Riverside recalibrated the mummy’s age to 10,700 years, making it the oldest naturally mummified human ever found in North America.

This revelation coincided with a formal repatriation claim under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), a federal law enacted in 1990 to return human remains and sacred objects to Indigenous communities.

For the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe, the Spirit Cave Mummy—whom they call The Storyteller—has always been more than an archaeological subject.

According to tribal oral history, their people have lived in the region since time immemorial. That perspective was long sidelined by scientific frameworks that prioritized material evidence over Indigenous knowledge systems.

The path to repatriation was both costly and fraught. The tribe spent more than $300,000 over two decades in legal fees and research consultations to build their case.

In 2016, after the genetic evidence was made public, the BLM reversed its position, and the remains were returned to the tribe for reburial in 2018.

The process was governed under federal law and finalized through a NAGPRA Review Committee recommendation.

“The science finally caught up with what we’ve always known,” said Len George, former chairman of the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone. “We knew he was one of ours.”

A BILL

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Repeal the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2013”.

SEC. 2. Repeal smith-mundt domestic propagandization.

(a) United states information and educational exchange act of 1948.—Section 501 of the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 (22 U.S.C. 1461) is amended to read as follows:

“SEC. 501. General authorization.

“(a) Dissemination of information abroad.—The Secretary of State and the Chief Executive Officer of the United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) are authorized to provide for the preparation and dissemination abroad of information about the United States, its people, and its policies, through press, publications, radio, motion pictures, the internet, and other information media, and through information centers and instructors abroad, except that such dissemination may not include the use of social media accounts, websites, or podcasts other than official platforms maintained by the Department of State or USAGM for purposes of foreign dissemination.

“(b) Ability To review information domestically.—

“(1) Any materials produced under subsection (a) shall, upon request, be made available in the English language, at all reasonable times following their release abroad, for examination at the Department of State or the United States Agency for Global Media, as appropriate, by representatives of United States press associations, newspapers, magazines, radio systems, and stations, and by Members of Congress. Except as provided in subsection (c), such materials may not be disseminated within the United States, except that Members of Congress may use such materials in the exercise of their official oversight functions.

“(2) No funds authorized to be appropriated to the Department of State or the United States Agency for Global Media, or its component networks, shall be used for the purpose of influencing public opinion or propagandizing in the United States.

Judges have life tenure to insulate them from political pressure, not so they can act like politicians in robes.

In a recent New York Times article,dozens of inferior court judges violated the Code of Conduct for United States Judges by taking pot shots at the Supreme Court’s emergency docket.

Some judges called Supreme Court reversals “demoralizing,” while others whined that the Supreme Court’s reversals at the very least created the perception of partisanship on the justices’ part, as the Supreme Court mostly has been reversing rulings that had gone against Trump administration policies. One judge compared the relationship between the justices and that judge’s district to “a war zone.”

Article III of the Constitution establishes a judicial hierarchy. At the top is the Supreme Court. It is the final arbiter and head of the judicial branch, just as the sitting president is the head of the executive branch. The Framers, understanding that the Supreme Court could not alone manage all cases, provided for the creation of inferior courts by Congress. Through statutes, Congress has created these, providing for nearly a thousand judgeships on district courts and courts of appeals spread across our country.These inferior courts must follow Supreme Court precedent and the Code of Conduct for United States Judges. Among other things, the code prohibits judges from making political comments or even comments that a reasonable observer could view as such.

The griping of inferior court judges stems from about two dozen rulings on the Supreme Court’s emergency docket. This docket allows justices to pause orders from lower courts while the litigation proceeds. Radicals trying to grind to a halt President Donald Trump’s electoral mandate repeatedly have run to district courts in leftist hellholes like the District of Columbia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and Boston. The judges there are overwhelmingly radical leftists. Even the Republican appointees are, for the most part, milquetoast because home-state Democrat senators can veto quality conservative nominees thanks to a Senate tradition known as the blue slip.The Supreme Court has correctly reversed absurd inferior court orders issued by judges who refuse to accept that President Trump is implementing an agenda for which the American people voted.

Revealing Their Partisanship

Every judge who responded to questions from The Times did so anonymously. This refusal to come out publicly is cowardly, but the judges hid in the shadows for one reason: ethics enforcement. Putting their names to comments trashing the Supreme Court would rightly have subjected these inferior court disgraces to a torrent of ethics complaints. These judges fail to see the obvious: their accusing the Supreme Court of partisanship in such a blatantly unethical way explicitly reveals their own partisanship. The biased authors of the article make sure to underscore that nearly half of the Republican-appointed judges who responded to questions about the Supreme Court were critical. But the authors do not tell us, for instance, where these Republican appointees sit. If these judges are in blue bastions like Massachusetts, Illinois, California, or Oregon, they do not remotely resemble judicial conservatives.

The article is grossly biased in several other ways. Judge William Young, a virulently anti-Trump district judge in Massachusetts, in recent months both inserted a gratuitous footnote into one opinion to bash the Supreme Court’s monumental decision on presidential immunity and wrote a 12-page screed against President Trump as part of another opinion. The authors make sure to hammer home that Judge Young was an appointee of President Reagan. When President Reagan first nominated Judge Young in 1984, the two Democrat Massachusetts senators were Ted Kennedy and Paul Tsongas.

When the Senate confirmed Judge Young in 1985, another hardcore leftist, John Kerry, had replaced Tsongas. In other words, notoriously leftist Massachusetts senators helped pick Young. Young may be a Reagan appointee, but he is no judicial conservative.

The article authors also make sure to highlight Republican former judges who are critical of the Supreme Court. For instance, J. Michael Luttig, rejected multiple times for a Supreme Court nomination, receives lots of attention in the article. The authors highlight that Luttig served under President George H.W. Bush. Luttig in recent years has suffered several legal humiliations, most notably in Trump v. Anderson. There, the Supreme Court reversed an absurd decision by the Colorado Supreme Court that had thrown President Trump off the ballot under the Insurrection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Luttig had called the Colorado decision “masterful and unassailable.” The Supreme Court’s 9-0 reversal of that ludicrous decision proves otherwise.

Roberts Must Rebuke These Judges

Chief Justice John Roberts needs to get his judicial house in order. This latest New York Times drive-by shooting by anonymous federal judges is the most recent blatant example of out-of-control rogue judges sabotaging the federal judiciary, the presidency, and American voters. Out of more than 400 judges who received requests for comment, nearly 20 percent responded. This is shameful, unacceptable, and startling — our federal judiciary has been politicized and weaponized.

Judges have a modest, but crucial, role. They resolve cases and controversies of the parties before them with redressable claims. That is their Article III power. Nothing more; nothing less. Their job is not to run crying anonymously to reporters because the Supreme Court is acting in a way that these inferior court snowflakes despise. Chief Justice Roberts must issue an order to judges to stop talking to the media, either on the record or anonymously.

Congress also must levy severe consequences against these judicial embarrassments. The House and Senate Judiciary Committees should open oversight inquiries to find out which anonymous and cowardly judges disgraced the bench through their pathetic public whining. If judges take off their judicial robes, climb into the political arena, and throw political punches, they should expect political counterpunches.

Judges have life tenure to insulate them from political pressure, not so they can act like politicians in robes. Sadly, several dozen judges do not understand this basic tenet of our republic, and they must face public shaming.

There is already Election Day controversy as New York City’s socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani – as well as Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa – appear on the ballot twice==, despite the fact that this is a normal procedure in the city’s elections.

Images of the ballot have circulated andindeed show Mamdani appearing twice on the ballot. Mamdani is listed first as the Democratic candidate, followed by Sliwa and conservative candidate Irene Estrada. Mamdani then appears again as the Working Families candidate, followed by Sliwa again under the Protect Animals banner. Eric Adams appears under the Safe & Affordable banner, and Jim Walden is listed seventh under the Integrity party, followed by former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo under his Fight and Deliver party. Joseph Hernandez appears last under the Quality of Life banner.

“The New York City ballot form is a scam!” Elon Musk said, sharing an image of the ballot and mentioning that other mayoral candidates have their name appearing twice:

– Other mayoral candidates appear twice

– Cuomo’s name is last in bottom right

However, many pointed out that names appearing on the ballots multiple times is relatively normal, as it goes by party endorsement. Others noted that New York City has always allowed candidates to receive multiple nominations from parties.

Regardless, many are put off that Cuomo quite literally appears second to last on the ballot, way to the right on the bottom row. There are explanations for that as well, however. Per Yahoo!, “…[T]he ballot order is determined by how many votes a party received in the last gubernatorial election, with unaffiliated candidates (like Cuomo) appearing after the partisan ones.”

The controversy comes as all eyes are on New York City in Tuesday’s mayoral race. President Donald Trump made waves after urging voters in New York City to back Cuomo in the race instead of Republican Sliwa, warning that a vote for the Republican is effectively a “vote for” socialist Mamdani.

If Communist Candidate Zohran Mamdani wins the Election for Mayor of New York City, it is highly unlikely that I will be contributing Federal Funds, other than the very minimum as required, to my beloved first home, because of the fact that, as a Communist, this once great City has ZERO chance of success, or even survival!

“It can only get worse with a Communist at the helm, and I don’t want to send, as President, good money after bad,” he continued. “It is my obligation to run the Nation, and it is my strong conviction that New York City will be a Complete and Total Economic and Social Disaster should Mamdani win.” Trump went on to point out that Mamdani’s socialist principles have been “tested for over a thousand years, and never once have they been successful.”

“I would much rather see a Democrat, who has had a Record of Success, WIN, than a Communist with no experience and a Record of COMPLETE AND TOTAL FAILURE,” he said. “He was nothing as an Assemblyman, ranked at the bottom of the class and, as Mayor of potentially, again, the Greatest City in the World, HE HAS NO CHANCE to bring it back to its former Glory!” Trump said before urging New Yorkers to back Cuomo.

“We must also remember this — A vote for Curtis Sliwa (who looks much better without the beret!) is a vote for Mamdani,” he added. “Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You must vote for him, and hope he does a fantastic job. He is capable of it, Mamdani is not!”
