Major search is launched for missing UK sailor who fell from navy support vessel off the Irish coast

A major search has been launched for a missing sailor who disappeared from a navy support vessel off the coast of Ireland overnight.
The crew member was last seen on board at around 10:30pm on Friday.
The Irish Coast Guard, the RNLI, the Irish Air Corps, and the naval vessel itself are involved in the search, as well as others.
Online reports suggest that the vessel involved could be the RFA Tidesurge.
In a statement, Ireland's Department of transport confirmed that the Coast Guard received a distressed call on Saturday morning, just before 9am.
