KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Vice President of the United States JD Vance landed at McGhee Tyson Airport Friday evening.
According to aviation tracking company FlightAware, Air Force 2 left Washington, D.C. and landed at McGhee Tyson at around 5:30 p.m.

Officials confirmed to WVLT News that Vance was in East Tennessee for a fundraising event at Blackberry Farm in Walland.
During Vance’s security motorcade from McGhee Tyson Airport to Blackberry Farm, a Maryville police officer was critically injured in a crash with a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper in Alcoa.
